Got on Trouble

Stella's POV

I should keep a watch on Alice's cats, especially Luca if I don't want to face Sebastian's fury once more.

It's 7 a.m. on Saturday. Taking Alice's cats for a walk in the park was one of my plans for the day. There is a small detour to the park, but it is necessary for them and me to get some fresh air.

Our chair has been extended and we've taken a seat next to the fountain. I assumed that the three cats would be able to play nicely together in this environment.

They entertained themselves as I sat and watched. When Luna and Tucker had enough of playing with the ball, I took them up and put them on my lap so that Luca could continue playing. As he got closer to the fountain, he started chasing the birds away. Because he was moving so rapidly, I was unable to stop him. In order to keep them safe, I locked Luna and Tucker in their cat cage and followed Luca.

As I neared Luca, I saw Sebastian Miller, who had a look of enjoyment on his face, sitting on a bench.

"You," he says to me.

I was shocked when he saw me. "Yes, I am Mr. Miller, but I have a name."

"You walk those cats out there?" He asks, a smirk on his face.

"Mr. Miller, we're on our way," I respond, realizing that I've ignored his question.

He flashed a surprised expression on his face for a brief moment. As he finished the book he was reading, he stood up from his chair.

"As for me, I'll be departing as well. I just savored a few moments of peace and quiet here. Come home with me," he adds with a remark.

"I don't require your assistance," I replied, but he abruptly picked up Luca and walked away.

"So, what was the point of picking up Luca? I'm surprised you like cats now, because I assumed you didn't," I inquired.

He hadn't responded, so my only option was to follow him. His car door was opened for me when we arrived at our destination, which was a parking lot. I can't believe I'll be riding a $3 million Ferrari Pininfarina Sergio, the ninth most expensive car in the world.

"What are you waiting for? Please come in," he exclaimed, his eyes wide with surprise as he uttered it. Did he how much his car was worth, he doesn't appear to be bothered by this fact.

The cats were curled up on my lap while I sat in the front seat, taking my time. My heart nearly skipped a beat when he turned the key in the ignition. This is the first time I've ridden in such a pricey vehicle, and I'm still in awe of my accomplishment.

"What's going on with you? You suddenly became pale," While driving, he inquired.

"Nothing, I'm fine," I said while looking away at him.

"Does everyone in the pre-veterinary program do these kinds of agonizing jobs with pets? Or is this just your thing? "

"It's not an agonizing job," I say.

His brows furrow, making him appear even more bewildered by the situation. "Okay. You should not do it since it is risky."

"It's not dangerous to look after Alice's cats. Mr. Sebastian, it's true that Luca can be a bit of a handful, but for the most part, they are well-behaved."

When Luca heard the name Sebastian, he let out a loud meow. Luca seemed to have a soft spot for this guy. But Sebastian doesn't seem to care.

In the midst of our contemplation, Sebastian's phone rang. He looked at his phone and read the contents, and then put it back in his pocket.

"Stella, I'm sorry, but I believe I must first proceed to my office. I need to take care of an urgent matter first. Don't be concerned. I'll have a driver take you home when we're there. Is that okay with you?" he inquired.

"Everything is okay. Nothing to worry about, "I responded to him.

When we arrived, I was shocked by what I saw. My first time seeing a building this enormous, even though I'm sure everyone in that condominium has their own business.

As we approach the sumptuous gate, Sebastian gives a nod to the two security guards stationed outside. They greet him with a loving wave and try their best not to react when they notice me. When the car came to a stop, I saw their firm name, 'Phoenix Capital Management Group,' written in bold, silver letters.

"Let's go! First, the receptionist will get in touch with my driver, so I'd like you to join me while you wait for him "he said in a grave tone.

He started walking toward the building before I could finish my sentence. I had no choice but to follow him.

My attention was immediately drawn to the fact that they were all staring at me when we entered the lobby. In the reception area, Sebastian approached a woman and had a brief conversation with her before grasping my arm and dragging me behind him. A marble elevator compartment awaits us. He uses his swipe card to push the button for the tenth floor. Our journey begins as the doors close and we are escorted upwards. His amusement is evident even though I am unable to see him directly.

When we arrived, the door opened, and I saw a blonde woman, maybe in her middle twenties, waiting outside the door, holding a bunch of files. She is dressed in a black skirt with a white blouse and close-toed shoes.

"Good morning, Mr. Miller," she said with a bowed head.

"I hope your day is going well, Giesel! There are a few things you need to know before we get started. Do you have a fear of cats?"

"No. Mr. Miller," she said.

"Great. This is Stella, my next-door neighbor. This is Giesel, my secretary, Stella."

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Ms. Stella," Geisel greets me.

"Ms. Giesel, it's a pleasure to meet you as well," I add.

"Place the cats in an unoccupied room and get any of my staff members who can watch them for a few minutes. By the way, I've asked the receptionist to call me when Andrew, my driver, arrives. I'd like you to take that call, okay? Then promptly return to my office after you've taken care of the cats. "

"I will, Mr. Miller. I'll take care of it," she said as she walked away with the cats.

The conversation ends with Sebastian turning away. "Let's go," he instructs me.

"I shouldn't leave them alone," I said.

"The cats aren't alone. They're with my secretary and my staff," he said while we were walking.

"All right, we've arrived. This is my office. Please come in."

I was stunned when I walked into his office. With a long couch and a glass table, his office is bright and spacious, with plenty of natural light. A name tag on his table, though, made it much more shocking. 'Sebastian Miller. Senior VP, Phoenix Capital Management Group. '

Sebastian asked, "Please have a seat."

"Thank you," I respond.

"Is there anything you'd like to drink? What about a glass of wine?" he asked.

"No. I'm fine," I say to him.

My eyes remained fixed on his desk as I tried in vain to fathom what had happened to me. After filling his glass with whiskey, he sat down at his desk and began to drink.

Inquiringly, "Are you still at work on Saturday?"

"This is, for the most part, who I am... this is my fucking everyday life, its business as usual," he replied while drinking his alcohol.

"Please allow me to use the restroom for a short while. May I know where it is?" As I scoured the restroom, I inquired.

I rushed in when he immediately pointed it out. I sit on the toilet bowl right away and wipe my face with my bare right hand.

"Shit! How did I get myself into this predicament once more?"
