Chapter 60 Second Thoughts

Lewis couldn t have been happier, he didn t completely trust Greg but he would choose him over Dave for his daughter anytime. He all the more worn his heart when Brenda told him Greg paid all the hospital bills. Maybe the he wasn t completely a fool, Lewis thought. The mood around the house since he got back was jolly but Brenda was another matter. She was mopping around, especially when she thought she wasn t observed. Like right now, she was lost in her world. She was giving him a feet massage for easy blood flow because of his lack of mobility; he was still awaiting the response to his question.

"Ahem" Lewis cleared his throat to gain her attention.

She jerked, like she was yanked suddenly from her world of dreams. "Sorry Dad, should I get you a glass of water?"

"I m fine; I just have something stuck in my throat."
