Chapter 12

"What are you doing? Why don't you rest you dint have enough sleep." Mason spoke to the stubborn Jia who immediately walked into the kitchen as soon as they arrived.

"I need to finish this."

"What are you cooking?" He asked coughing. The kitchen was filled with smoke with many empty pots lying around it was really messy.

"Cooking medicine."

"For grandma?" He asked.

"Yeah also for you."

"Why me?" He asked in confusion.

"Your blood isn't fully cleansed thats why you still have headaches so this will help." He coughed as he moved closer to the large boiling pot. He looked at the brown thick liquid then asked worriedly.

"Is it supposed to look like that?" He asked.

"No its not yet fully cooked."

"Whaat." He looked at the disgusting liquid then quickly held his nose as it had a disgusting smell.

"How long will it take?"

"Around two more hours."

"Ooooh...what about grandma?"

"Ive given her the first medicine this will help release her fatigue and keep her healthy."

Mason nodded his head then spoke..."Am going upstairs." Mia replied then went back to cooking she kept stirring the liquid. After two hours she was done she looked at the black thick liquid that had a foul smell then nodded in satisfaction she poured in two bowls then kept the inside the fridge she gave one to Addison to give her grandmother then the other bowl he gave Mason.

"Is it supposed to look like this?" Mason asked. Mia stared at him.

"It's not even edible." The grown man complained.

"Eat." She commanded.

Mason held his nose then hurriedly gulped down the medicine....It was the worst thing that he had tasted...worst was an understatement. After an hour he ran to the bathroom....For the rest of the day Mason kept vomiting.

"How do you feel?" Mia asked handing him a glass of water.

"Abit tired and hungry."

"Come I ordered porridge drink then rest I'll check your pulse when you wake up."

Mason nodded then followed her to the dining room. The next day, they would be starting their exams so Addison spent the whole day reading the notes and the past papers Mia had prepared.

"Your awake?"

"Mmmmh."

"How do you feel?"

"I feel fresh its like ive just showed." Mia moved closer then felt his pulse.

"Your now fully clean."

"Thank you.."

"Am going to check on grandma." She replied nonchalantly.

"Mmh go."

"How is she?" Mia asked as soon as she walked in.

"She seems fine and quite relaxed."

"Any reactions?"

"Apart from dizziness she seems okay."

Mia nodded her head then stretched out her hand..."Here I got you something."

"What is it?"

"Possible questions for the past year.....you can look at them."

"What about you?"

"Am okay I wont do the exams."

"Why?" Addison asked worriedly.

"I dont feel like doing.....am going to bed." She went upstairs then slept.

The next morning as promised, Mia didn't go to school she had taken a leave for the whole exams period.

Addison was bugged with questions that she herself couldn't answer.

"I heard that Mia is skipping exams because she is scared of embarrassing herself."

"Why."

"Do you know her sister Chloe Brooks?"

"Yeah the one in class one?"

"Yeah.....She has always been topping I heard Mia is from the country side she doesn't know anything."

"What did you just say?" Kyle heard them gossipping. The whole school was gossipping about Mia...

The next day, Mia woke up late then showered then went to the studio. She was going to record a song with Essence.

"Mia darling your here.....Ive missed you." Essence tried hugging her.

Mia glared at him....he moved back then spoke...

"Haaaaahhh....still the same cold Mia."

"Lets go." Mia replied coldly. Essence was already used to Mia's attitude.

"Come ill show you."
