ETERNITY SO NEAR

BIBLE DEVOTIONAL

A REFLECTION BAD MOMENT WHEN I NEED ETERNAL PERSPECTIVE ON DEATH

AND JESUS SAID;

Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

Hosea 4:3

Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.

it is a pity that this beautiful world shall pass aways with everything That feels in it, until even now, as a human experience,

In this world, people die. Survivors mourn. And we all think about the coming day when we will slip away from this visible world to whatever lies beyond. As Christians, we know what lies beyond, yet even we are shocked when this world is rocked.

Jesus points to the real issue—the eternal tragedy that many die without acknowledging their need for the Savior. This tragedy is far outstrips than anything this world can dish out. The consequences are infinitely more profound—not just a funeral service but eternal isolation from God and true life. There is no resurrection, no rebuilding, no reprieve in an eternity without Christ. It is forever.

We need to view life and death—and our neighbors—with an eternal perspective. We must understand that physical death separates us from those we love for a short time, but death without Christ separates those we love from the Presence of God forever. May a passion for God and an awareness of eternal realities compel us to live and to preach the gospel. Speak about it to someone today.

In the same way, there is joy in the presence of God's angels when even one sinner repents."

Luke 15:10
