CH 4: Just fluff

"alright, say ahh." Bibi Dong said, holding Ah Li's chin and mouth open while looking into his throat, which actually had a tint of blue in it. Some time, about quite a few days or just a few weeks had passed since Bibi Dong had found Ah Li inside of the ice made out of Ultimate Ice.

Ever since then, she had brought him to her home to live with her daughter and disciple, Qian Renxue and Hu Liena. He didn't know why, but the cunning, calculating and cruel Bibi Dong was actually pretty caring towards him.

He hadn't wished for her to like him right off the bat, or have some kinda first love moment. So he was really confused by how she acted so kind towards him. He also knew that she didn't harbor any evil or harmful intentions towards him. Something of a sixth sense that he had in his past life.

All he could come up with was that since he was just a child, and that she wasn't as cruel as the original thanks to having Qian Renxue as family, she was just caring towards a helpless child. She was actually a pretty kind girl before the whole traumatic experience with her teacher.

But he wasn't complaining about it. Why would he? He got to live with one of his two greatest crushes in the media, and the actual version in a real universe! He was just confused, that's all.

Anyway, after she brought him to her home, she had started the treatment once he had a good rest. She had checked him herself first, since if it was just the result of being inside of the ice and him getting frostbite, she could solve it using her soul power.

But it was kinda worse than that. Because of being inside of ice, and Ultimate Ice at that, almost all of his internal organs and anything inside of him had frozen a bit! Not only did the flesh under his skin have a tint of blue, even his blood was a little blue. That was actually the reason he couldn't speak.

However, fortunately, she could still help with her soul power and along with some herbs and medicines. She couldn't rush it though. Since he was really young, and his body was even weaker than an average kid his age thanks to the ice, she had to take it slow.

After some time of treatment, his body was beginning to heal. Slowly, but surely. The blue shade that was apparent in his throat had already gone away a lot. It still remained, but it had gone away a lot.

"Agh... Ahhh..." Ah Li let out broken sounds, his face twitching in displeasure at the pain of his throat. With a hum, Bibi Dong gently let go of his chin :"There's still a lot to recover from, but well, it's still a progress."

"T... Tha... Nk... Y... Ou." He said, holding his neck with a pained look. With a small smile, the milf patted his head gently :"You're welcome, Xiao Li. Also, refrain from speaking for now. Recovery comes first."

A nod was her answer, and she smiled at his smiling face. With a chuckle, she brought her hand to his face and gently pinched his cheek :"Xiao Xue is right, you're seriously too adorable for your own sake."

"Of course I'm right. I'm always right." Qian Renxue's smug face was heard from a little away :"Just like how I was right about winning this chess match, Nana!" She smirked as she moved a chess piece, and took out one of Hu Liena's and checked her, causing the younger girl to groan in annoyance :"Damn you..."

The four of them were actually outside. Sitting inside of the pagoda without walls in the garden, they were just enjoying the nice day and weather. Bibi Dong was sitting on a couch with Ah Li, while Qian Renxue and Hu Liena were seated against each other behind the table of the pagoda, playing chess together.

"Hmph, I told you you're no match for me. Just like always. But you never learn." The girl with the longer blond hair leaned back in her seat, a smug smirk on her gorgeous face while the younger girl was frowning :"Hmph, I'll definitely win. You just wait and see..."

"Heh, good luck with that." The purple eyed beauty said, earning a glare from the disciple of her mother. With her hand under her chin, Hu Liena was thinking about her next move, but was struggling to come up with any good ones.

But surprisingly, Ah Li suddenly got up from the couch and walked towards the table. Sure, his muscles were still pretty weak and he couldn't do anything that needed too much force. But walking wasn't a problem if done gently.

"Xiao Li? What's wrong?" Qian Renxue smiled at the young boy who took steady steps towards them :"Do you wanna see Nana lose from close up?" Causing Hu Liena to snort in annoyance :"No, he's here to see me beat you in this damn game."

But Ah Li didn't say anything. He just raised his hand, took one of Hu Liena's pieces, and took out one of Qian Renxue's pieces with a smirk :"Ch... Eck." Not only taking out the chess piece that had checked Hu Liena's king piece, but also checking her back in doing so.

Qian Renxue's eyes went wide as she immediately sat right and looked at the move that he had made :"... What???" Hu Liena, on the other hand, immediately smiled when she understood the move :"Hahaha! Thanks, Xiao Li! Hmph, see? I told you I'd win!"

"You..." The older blond glared at her, before furrowing her pretty eyebrows at Ah Li :"You cheeky brat, you actually took her side?" And he just shrugged with a smirk, causing her to snort with a pout :"Hmph, fine. But it doesn't make a difference, because I'll win even if you two team up."

But just a little later, she couldn't keep up the tough front anymore, nor stay true to her words. Not when the situation had turned from Hu Liena having a few pieces taken out, to Qian Renxue having only a few pieces left!

"How... Is this possible...?" She said in disbelief, speechless at the turn of events. Bibi Dong, standing next to the cause of this situation, chuckled with an impressed look as she turned to Ah Li :"I didn't know you could play chess, Xiao Li. Not only that, you're actually good enough to put Xiao Xue in this situation."

"Mom, please be quiet. I can't concentrate if you all talk." Qian Renxue said in annoyance, earning a chuckle from her mother :"Hey, you're the one who let Ah Li team up with Nana. Don't start complaining now just because you underestimated him."

"Hmph, how could I have known he'd be this good at it...?" She pursed her pretty lips, frowning before Bibi Dong smiled mischievously :"Well, who said that you can't get help from Ah Li? He isn't playing anyway, he's just helping Nana."

"Master?!" Her disciple turned to her with a look of betrayal, earning another chuckle :"What, I'm telling the truth. It's unfair to Xiao Xue for Ah Li who suddenly turned out to be such a skilled chess player to help you. How'd you feel if I helped Xiao Xue and didn't help you at all?"

"But we're a team now, so he can't help her!" Hu Liena resisted, not wanting to lose. But Qian Renxue, with a look of realization, immediately smiled at Ah Li :"Hey, Xiao Li~. Come on, won't you help sister Xue too?"

"No way! Xiao Li, you wouldn't help her, would you?" Hu Liena looked at the tempted boy with a wronged look :"You'll help me, right?" Seeing that he was still unsure, Qian Renxue got an idea of how to reel him in.
