Beyond Earth

"Fear is a feeling, but it tends to run deeper than that. It's like a virus. Resilient and highly contagious. And even the smallest seed of it can grow to destroy you." °°°°°° It's the year 2280. Airborne particles were invented with the intent to eradicate diseases but instead they become radioactive, toxic and severely deadly to anyone who breathes in even a tiny amount. The world becomes a dystopia and is uninhabitable. With time running out for humans on earth, Hiro Tachibana is one of the scientists that has to find out if a new planet is fit for habitation. But when people start turning up dead on the spaceship and there are more questions than answers, Hiro realizes that he may not be able to trust anyone. Not even himself. Chapter 70

Everyone was talking in hushed voices in the bunker and it felt like we were all walking on egg shells. We didn't move from one place to another unless it was necessary and most of the people in our bunker stayed in their rooms with the doors left open. We had all been woken up when Cilla called to announce that the horde was already in front of her house and no one had been able to go back to sleep after we also found out.

Making and serving breakfast had been as quiet as possible and everyone ate in their rooms before going back to the kitchen to dump their plates. Now, everyone was busy doing their own thing quietly and Daniel, Hae In, Zeke and I were the only ones in the room. Ezra was with Viviana while Clareta was with the five remaining residents from the estate and that's the only two people whose whereabouts Daniel and I knew.
