Beyond Earth

"Fear is a feeling, but it tends to run deeper than that. It's like a virus. Resilient and highly contagious. And even the smallest seed of it can grow to destroy you." °°°°°° It's the year 2280. Airborne particles were invented with the intent to eradicate diseases but instead they become radioactive, toxic and severely deadly to anyone who breathes in even a tiny amount. The world becomes a dystopia and is uninhabitable. With time running out for humans on earth, Hiro Tachibana is one of the scientists that has to find out if a new planet is fit for habitation. But when people start turning up dead on the spaceship and there are more questions than answers, Hiro realizes that he may not be able to trust anyone. Not even himself. Chapter 128

I glanced at her out of the corner of my eye for what was the nth time today before I kept my eyes back on the road. She was sticking her head out the window with the map in her hands. It's been a couple of minutes since we left my hometown and I was still really nervous about the person seating next to me. Her name is Cilla Black. That's what she told me before I started the car.

'What if she suddenly lunges at me? What if she snaps my neck? What if she makes the car crash?' I couldn't help thinking of all these even though it was quite obvious that she wasn't going to do anything to me. She was only in the car because I wanted her to come with me.

When she got into the car, Ezra's scent had made her really uncomfortable. I had winded all the windows down and moved the travelling box containing Ezra's clothes to the boot but she still sounded like she was trying to clear out a hairball stuck in her throat so she decided to stick her head out the window.
