Beyond Earth

"Fear is a feeling, but it tends to run deeper than that. It's like a virus. Resilient and highly contagious. And even the smallest seed of it can grow to destroy you." °°°°°° It's the year 2280. Airborne particles were invented with the intent to eradicate diseases but instead they become radioactive, toxic and severely deadly to anyone who breathes in even a tiny amount. The world becomes a dystopia and is uninhabitable. With time running out for humans on earth, Hiro Tachibana is one of the scientists that has to find out if a new planet is fit for habitation. But when people start turning up dead on the spaceship and there are more questions than answers, Hiro realizes that he may not be able to trust anyone. Not even himself. Chapter 113

The back seat of the car was of piled to the roof with backpacks and duffel bags that contained food, water, medicine and other useful things while the boot contained the bags that could fit into it and a couple of jerry cans. It was dawn and we were already leaving Admon.

We should have left the town for Westwilde yesterday but we had all fallen asleep in a house after we finished searching the other houses and taking the essentials we needed from them. We woke up in the middle of the night because of an infected that paid us a visit and had been pounding on the door. After Faye took care of it, we decided to wait till dawn before we left because Laleh, Tara and Louane felt that driving in the dark was a bad idea.

I couldn't sleep after that because I knew that my loved ones would be worried sick about me and I was counting down the minutes till dawn when we would finally leave for Westwilde.
