*Five years later*
After five years, Olivia had grown up to a beautiful, intelligent young lady and she had gotten used to the city life through the help of his bossom friend Peter. Mrs bill had been working at Mrs Smith's family house as a cook, ever since they had moved to the city from the village. Mrs bill works at 7am to 4pm from Monday to Friday. The weekend was usually her off days.
On a sunny afternoon, Mrs bill was coming out from her work place, she carried a lot of food stuffs with her and she called her granddaughter Olivia.
"Olly Olly." no response Mrs bill thought to herself inwardly.
Olly was the short name she called her granddaughter Olivia. And there was only two people that called Olivia by that name, grandma and Peter.
"Olly Olly are you there?" grandma called again.
"Granny, are you back?" asked Olivia inwardly from the house and she quickly ran outside hurriedly.
"Yes Olly, come out here, and take these from my hands." replied her grandma impatiently.
"Okay granny, am coming." said Olivia and she quickly dropped the school notes she was studying. Olivia quickly rushed outside to collect the foodstuffs from her grandma.
As soon as Olivia got outside, she was surprised with the loads of food stuffs, her grandma was carrying in her hands.
Olivia's grandmother handed over the loads to her and said "Take this to the kitchen! We have a lot to prepare today." said grandma softly
Olivia looked mouth wide opened and said to her grandma "Granny, where did you get all these from?" asked Olivia eyes popping open
"It was from my madam, Mrs Smith." replied Grandma cheerfully.
"Whoa! whoa, so nice of her!" said Olivia huge smile across face
"Yes she's very nice and sweet, even her kids too." replied her grandma smiling face
"Really?" asked Olivia, corner of mouth arising
"Yes, my dear." replied grandma smiling
"I would love to meet her one day and thank her for her kind gesture, granny." said Olivia softly, looking eagerly from her grandma.
"Definitely, you will meet her one day." replied her grandma with assured smile.
"Okay granny." said Olivia happily
They both entered the kitchen with the foodstuffs. She dropped the foodstuffs down "What are we going to cook?" asked Olivia curiously
Olivia's grandmother looked up suddenly thinking of what to cook and she asked her granddaughter directly "I think we should cook porridge sauce, or what do you think?" asked grandma expecting her to agree with the idea
Olivia started salivating over the food her grandma just mentioned. She gave in immediately
"Porridge sauce is a delicious meal to eat," Olivia thought inwardly and said
"Yes, granny, porridge sauce is better." replied Olivia salivating over the idea and her grandma smiled at her clasping hands
"Can you please bring out the potatoes from the sack for me." asked grandma
"Okay ma." replied Olivia
"And also blend the tomatoes quickly." said her grandma.
Olivia brought out the potatoes and checked them one after the other and she saw that they were good potatoes. "Sweet potatoes!" she thought to herself happily.
Suddenly, someone was knocking outside the door and Olivia looked up.
"Who's that?" asked grandma.
"I think that should be Peter, he's here to help me with the assignment." replied Olivia abruptly.
"Oh! I see, go and open the door for him." said her grandma.
Peter's Williams family was Mrs bill neighbor and also Olivia's childhood friend blond, cute with dimples, tall and lean. Aside from his good looks, he was intelligent very humble, and godly too. Olivia grew up having him as her best friend, her adviser, her protector.
They both played together like siblings. Sometimes people mistook them for brother and sister. Peter like Olivia dearly, he looked over her like a lost puppy. Olivia like Peter likewise, she loved him like the brother she never had. They both attended the same school, also in the same class. Peter is older than Olivia with a year gap.
Olivia went out to open the door for him. "I knew it was you!" chuckled Olivia.
"Hi Olly." said Peter grinning.
