Battle with Uzuki Yugao

"This is... the Konoha Destruction Plan?!" Furen stared at the secret scroll he had drawn from Hanare's 75% favorability reward, his eyes full of shock.

The Konoha Destruction Plan, in simple terms, was orchestrated by Orochimaru during the Chunin Exams, where he allied with the Fourth Kazekage, Rasa, with the silent approval of Danzo, to bring the One-Tail Jinchuriki into Konoha, aiming to kill the Third Hokage and destroy the village.

It was during this time that the Third Hokage died. After already losing the Fourth Hokage and Kushina Uzumaki, two of Konoha's greatest powers, during the Nine-Tails incident, the village lost yet another top-tier asset in the Third Hokage. This forced Konoha to send out a search for Tsunade to bring her back.

Furen didn't particularly care about Konoha's strength or survival. Even if Orochimaru's plan succeeded, Furen had the Land of Snow as a backup to sustain himself. What truly mattered to him was how he could strengthen himself during this upheaval and secure his place in the ninja world!

"If I remember correctly, Orochimaru had a lot of strong female subordinates." Furen began counting on his fingers. "The most recent one should be Tayuya..."

Furen pulled the scroll from the system.

He unrolled the scroll, and its contents were exactly what he had expected: a detailed account of the discussions between Orochimaru and the Fourth Kazekage, Rasa, regarding the Konoha Destruction Plan and the deployment of their forces.

"A very detailed scroll," Furen muttered as he finished reading.

The scroll contained almost all the crucial details, except for one part: Orochimaru's eventual betrayal, where he assassinated Rasa and disguised himself as the Fourth Kazekage to fight the Third Hokage during the Chunin Exams.

At this point, Furen had two choices.

The first was to hand the scroll over to the Third Hokage, which would most likely result in a hefty reward and increase his standing within Konoha.

The second choice was to keep the scroll hidden, avoid danger, and use the ensuing chaos to his advantage.

Furen smirked and whispered to himself, "Only a child would make that choice. I... will take it all!"

Outside the village.

Furen stood beneath a tree, deep in thought. He took off his Konoha headband and retrieved Hanare's headband from the Key Country, Dingqian Village, from his space scroll, and placed it on his forehead.

"The system's description said this headband can perfectly conceal my identity and prevent anyone from associating me with my other identities," Furen thought as he adjusted the key-shaped headband.

To test its effect, he sought out one of the Anbu guards stationed outside the village.

On top of a tall tree, an Anbu operative with long purple hair and a fox mask was monitoring the surroundings. In a flash, the figure disappeared, leaving only a few falling leaves behind.

Body Flicker Technique!

When the masked Anbu reappeared, they were standing on a tree in front of Furen, who was now wearing the Key Country headband.

"You are... a ninja from the Key Country? What is a Key Country ninja doing here?!" The Anbu's voice, cold and distant, echoed from behind the fox mask.

"This is Uzuki Yugao!" Furen instantly recognized her from the signature purple hair.

Seeing that Furen didn't respond, Yugao didn't hesitate. As an Anbu member, she unsheathed her sword and launched an attack.

"If you won't answer, I'll just have to capture you first!" Yugao's voice was icy as she moved.

Konoha Style Kenjutsu: Dance of the Crescent Moon! Yugao's sword technique was her specialty.

She created multiple shadow clones midair, all converging on Furen, leaving no room for him to advance or retreat.

"Konoha's sword techniques, huh," Furen chuckled. "Unfortunately, I don't have time to play with you right now."

As a member of Team 7, Furen had crossed paths with Kakashi and other Anbu members, so Yugao had seen his face before. If she didn't recognize him now, it meant the headband was working perfectly to hide his identity.

Satisfied with the effectiveness of the headband, Furen decided not to engage with Yugao any longer. Drawing more Konoha ninjas into the fight would only complicate things.

Furen held several ice senbon in his hand, pretending to throw them at Yugao. As her real body prepared to counter the attack, Furen vanished.

He reappeared behind Yugao, a grin spreading across his face. The ice senbon in his hand melted into water instead of being thrown.

The intense atmosphere of battle suddenly shifted, surprising Yugao.

Uzuki Yugao's favorability toward you has increased by 10%.

Having gotten what he wanted, Furen glanced at Yugao one last time before using his Ice Release to create a thin layer of ice beneath his feet, which dissolved without leaving a trace as he quickly departed.

"I have no ill will toward Konoha," Furen's voice lingered in the air as he left.

Hearing this, Yugao didn't give chase. Instead, she watched Furen leave.

"That ninja seemed... familiar..." Yugao mused, feeling a small thrill in her heart. But she quickly shook her head, dismissing the thought.

"Since that mysterious ninja said they had no ill intentions toward Konoha, I suppose... I don't need to report this."
