Chapter 65: Mission: Becoming an Adult

In two days, the new school year will start. After wrapping up his work, Yuta met with his relatives from both sides.

After some discussion, the other relatives agreed to let Yuta take care of the Takanashi sisters and also allowed the four of them to return to live in the house.

The reason for their agreement wasn't simply because Yuta was earning money; it was because the Takanashi relatives were aware of Yuta's living situation.

When their uncle learned that Yuta was sleeping in the same room with three girls, he immediately prepared to hit Yuta with his shoe, but thankfully, Yuta managed to dodge it.

If Hina's father were watching from beyond the grave, knowing that his three daughters were sharing a bed with Yuta, he would probably haunt Yuta relentlessly!

The Takanashi relatives were persuaded by Toka, and on Yuta's side, his aunt came to help as well.

With their support, along with Yuta's own upbringing—where he was raised by his older sister—this arrangement was temporarily settled.

In order to prevent the three sisters from continuing to live in such a poor environment, Yuta could stay and take care of them here.

Yuta had hired a truck to move their belongings, so everything they had—though not much—was brought to this spacious place all at once.

After moving everything into the living room, the movers left, and just as Yuta was preparing to take a break, he suddenly realized something.

This was a two-story house. In addition to the master bedroom upstairs, there were two smaller bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room, a balcony, and a bathroom, along with a traditional Japanese tatami room.

The tatami room had a floor covered with tatami mats, and since the size of these mats is fixed, the number of mats laid out indicated the room size. The space was surrounded by shoji screens (sliding doors made of thin paper), allowing some light in but obscuring the view from outside.

In simple terms, it was a guest room with paper sliding doors.

The two smaller bedrooms belonged to Sora and Miu, while Hina shared a room with Sora. Yuta now had two options.

A. Move into the small tatami room, where his personal space would be both transparent and opaque, and sounds from inside would be easily heard from outside.

B. Move into the master bedroom, which had air conditioning and furniture.

C. Sleep in the living room, which was actually larger than his original room, so it wouldn't be a loss.

After thinking for just two seconds, Yuta chose option B.

"I'll take the room that belonged to my sister!"

Once he made his decision, Yuta began discussing it with Sora and Miu.

Sora and Miu were understanding and agreed without hesitation. After their parents passed away, neither of them wanted to be near that room, and they hoped that with Yuta living there, everyone could gradually adapt.

After all, leaving that room unoccupied made them feel uncomfortable.

After obtaining the agreement from the three sisters, Yuta moved his belongings into the master bedroom, which had the most space and the best layout.

Originally, the plan was for the three sisters to live in this largest room, but Yuta hadn't even considered that possibility. Hina, being young and naive, was one thing, but Sora and Miu would definitely not sleep soundly in that room.

When it was time to go to bed, Yuta lay down in the spot where his sister usually slept and, upon opening his eyes, he could see the wedding photo hanging on the wall across from him.

Ultimately, he decided to take down the wedding photo; otherwise, he wouldn't be able to sleep well either. It was fine to keep his sister's picture up, so he just put away the photo of his brother-in-law in a box.
