Raven & Alice

Opening my eyes, I ask Alex what [He] desires.

"Alice, she has to go back to the cult."

*Thud* Slamming my hand into the table, I almost jump at Alex.

"I'd rather die than let you do that!" Causing a huge scene, I can see Amber and Edward looking at us from below. Coughing into my hand, I sit back down.

"Sorry Raven, but Alice's hand is something [He] is very interested in, but let's go back in time a little bit. It was almost a year ago that you two met for the first time."

Raven ran across the slum alleys, firing his weapon at an unknown enemy. Running into a park, he hides behind a tree. Seeing gangsters run into the park after him, he tries to pretend that he's not there.

"You!" The gangster yells, running towards a dark-haired woman. He demands that he tells her where Raven went. Telling him that she doesn't know, the gangster gets mad and tells her that if she's useless, she should be in his way!

Firing his gun, large white hands wrap around him and protect Alice.

The other gangsters noticed it and started to shoot as well. Alice formed a cocoon of arms around her, but it wasn't enough. At this time she still lacked any proper fighting experience.

A loose bullet shoots her in the shoulder causing her to fall to the ground.

Screaming she begs. "I don't know, I swear!" Telling her that it is not up to him, the gangster pulls the trigger.

"And that's where Alice's story should have ended, right Raven?" Looking at me smugly, I sigh. "What are you getting at, Alex?"

Crossing his legs he tells me that I've decided to act as a hero. "Women make us go crazy, don't they? Raven?"

The moment the gangster pulls the trigger, a loud bang resounds through the park and the gangster falls to the ground. Opening her eyes, Alice sees a black-haired boy with ice in his hand running around.

Jumping from one leg to another, Alice gets lost in his movements which remind her of a dance. Getting on her feet, she tries to help but instead, she makes eye contact with a gangster.

Quickly pulling a hand out of her shadows, she throws the guy to the ground.

And the now yet unnamed boy, jumps over him and stabs an ice spike into his chest. Giving it a good twist, he turns to Alice.

Now getting a good look at the boy, she sees his long dark hair and a white scarf wrapped around his neck.

"Even back then you wore that scarf, I guess it truly fits your old nickname." Raising my hand, I ask him not to but...

"The white Nightmare of the Underworld, God that's so fucking cool." Covering my face at the embarrassing nickname. Alice rubs my back.

"Alex, I have a question. Are we hear discussing Raven's and mine past?" Shrugging his shoulder, Alex continues. "We're discussing everything. Mainly you Raven, you're a nobody that in a span of 3 years managed to become a crime lord."

Drinking his champagne, he looks dead in Raven's eyes.

"Raven Nordstorm, the noble of a powerful family, yet you left on your own accord. No one knows what you did the first year, but afterward, you started to act with Alice. You were the duo that even we feared. But then something happened."

Running through a large building which belonged to The Lantern, Raven yelled. "God! Do you ever have anything better in mind?!"

Alice chuckles at Raven's remark and tells him to not worry. Seeing a group of cultists run, they both stomp their feet and make a wall of hands and ice, that flies at the cultists.

Turning around we start to run. "Raven! If we get out of here I'll-"

Then it happened. It was a gas explosion from a previous fight where we broke the pipe. The large side of the building collapsed, and Alice and I got sent flying forward. I who wore a full jacket survived with only burned clothing, but Alice that was wearing more comfortable light clothing, had her entire back burned off.

"Alice!" Grabbing her by the hand, the top floor collapsed and trapped Alice beneath the rubble. "Wait just a second, I'm going to get you out!" I started to move the debris off her back, but suddenly the cultist catch up.

Feeling my hand grabbed by Alice, I see her smile. My ears are ringing from the explosion and I can barely hear what she says.

"......Run....." She said more than that, but I couldn't make any more words out of it. As my ears were ringing, I asked her what she said, but she smiled and yelled.

"Run you fool! Forget about me and life a normal life, we've made more than enough....." Going limp, she misles at me, like crazy. I tried to shake her awake but to no success.

The unstable building started to shake and not having any other choice, I ran. I ran as fast as my legs could.

"How sad, you were like kids in young love. But nothing last forever." Looking at us he continues. "Most people would be devastated after such a heartbreaking incident. After all, you loved her Raven."

Seeing me tighten my grip on the knife he continues.

"You loved her so much that, you've developed an entire drug, Dreamaker, It could allow you to dream whatever you most wanted, and you became addicted to it. It helped you cope with her loss, unlike others, you couldn't move one."

Jumping at me he pulls down my sleeves and reveals blue-colored veins over my forearm.

"The rumor is that you made it because you lost your sister. Ha! How laughable you made it for Alice! For the love of your life!"

Snap Jumping out of the chair its leg snaps off, grabbing Alex by the collar of his suit. I push over the railing. "Are you going to drop me?"

Everyone's eyes are on us, Amber, Edward, and many others.

Lening to my ear, he whispered. "Drop me, that's what [He] wants." Pulling him back, I throw him over the table. Getting on his feet, Alex smiles and tells me to live in my delusions.

"But the fact stands, you've never gotten over it. You've tried to escape to your work, you've climbed the ranks of the criminal underground faster than anyone else, but then she returned."

"Brainwashed by the cult, a mere image of the past you once loved so much. She came back just to give you a false sense of hope."

*B-B-Bang* Pulling out my gun, I've never fired off into someone so quickly. The bullets pass through his body, as it turns into a pure shadowy fog.

"I'll see you soon, Raven." Being flown away by the high-rise wind. I holster my gun and lean on the railing. Coming behind me, Alice pats me on the back.

"It's fine, I promise you that I'm not going anywhere." Sighing, I thank her. "We've got a lot to discuss. I still want to know what happened." As I say that, I see Ambe runoff.

"Amber!" Edward yells as he runs after her.
