Unexpected Grace
"Come in. I've prepared tea for you."
Kai and Odin stared at the old man standing in the doorway. Through his right eye, Odin looked at the old man flatly.
On the other hand, Kai only smiled clumsily as he gave a small nod and lightly smacked his left thigh, as if signaling Odin to step inside the house.
SLAM!
As soon as Odin stepped inside, the old man closed the door and then walked towards the other room with a slight limp.
Odin did not move from his position at all and only watched the old man's movements from his right eye until his gaze fell on a painting of a woman's face on the wall above the fireplace.
In Odin's memory, the woman's face looked similar to the old woman who spoke to him when he was in the hospital for the first time. If Odin was not mistaken, her name was Ann Broke.
