"Hey, kid... did you hear me?"
A voice instantly snapped Odin out of his reverie. He then turned his head while covering his nose and staring flatly at the pair of humans - male and female - in front of him.
The foul odor wafted again and this time it came from the woman in front of him. It was the same odor from one of the robbers he had managed to take down the first time. Odin didn't know what this foul odor was exactly, but somehow it seemed familiar in his memory.
On the other hand, the woman approached and grabbed the boy's shoulder.
"Son, are you sure you're alright? You seemed to lose focus a few times..."
"If you're still not feeling well, we can —"
"Can you stay away from me? Your stench is really killing me," Odin said as he turned and sat facing the window glass.
"Hey, be more polite, kid! Did your parents never teach you manners?!" the man said in a raised tone.
"..."
"And stop making a nonsensical excuse that you are smelling foul odor! I don't even smell anything other than hospital smells!"
Although he heard that raised tone, Odin even still did not turn his head. He didn't care about the man's words that he didn't smell anything.
Odin even almost died because he smelled that stench. How could those humans even not smell that shit!
"I told you, just ask me what you want to know and I will answer," Odin said fastly.
"Tsk, you don't listen to anything," said the man in annoyance.
"No. I did," Odin replied shortly.
Hearing the boy's answer made the man wipe his face and try to be patient.
The man then let out a long sigh while rubbing his chest and said, "Son, if you heard my question, why didn't you answer it?"
"Because it's a question I've already answered before. So why would I answer it twice," Odin replied flatly and that made the man groan in frustration.
"Argh! You ..." The man hung up his words angrily while pointing at the boy who was sitting back to him.
"..."
"We've been talking about this for almost ten hours! You heard it?! I said Ten hours! Oh God! This shit really sucks me up!" The man snapped while the woman was calming him down.
"Joe, calm down ..." the woman said while looking into her coworker's eyes as if to signal him to remain calm.
"No Rose, I've lost my temper now!"
Afterward, he took his partner's hand off his shoulder and then approached the boy who was sitting back to him.
"Let me talk with this shitty brat!"
For a moment, the man closed his eyes and took a deep breath before speaking again, "Listen ... If you don't want to cooperate with us now, then we will —"
"You were asked me about how I beat five out of ten ..."
"..."
"Am I correct?" Odin interrupted the man's words and made the man try again to be patient.
"Sigh! You have got the point! Then answer!"
Odin was heard snorting and then said, "I was telling you all the time before, that I kicked and punched them. Why are you asking that question again?"
The man patted his forehead and with a long sigh, he then said, "Hey, brat ..."
"..."
"Do you think we believe your nonsensical reasons? I mean, look ..." the man deliberately hung up his words while looking down on a boy in front of him.
The man snorted and then continued his words, "You're so thin and even less than 5'7 inches tall! How can I believe in your words? Do you think we are in some fantasy story where Dwarfs can have strength like Giants?!"
Odin sighed when he heard the man's words from behind him. This was the umpteenth time the man had said that and it made Odin really sick.
"Huft! Why are humans so stubborn and that's not just a fantasy story, they are real," said Odin coldly.
"What are you saying? Are you an idiot or something?"
The man looked strangely at the boy in front of him and thought that the boy had some kind of middle-second syndrome.
Meanwhile, Odin looked back while still covering his nose with his right hand. He stared coldly at the man standing there.
"I'll just say this one more time and I hope after this you guys leave from here ..."
"..."
"I beat them by punching and kicking them. That's all," said Odin briefly and concisely.
Hearing the boy's words certainly made the man dissatisfied. But what else can you do? If this continues, there will be no end — The man thought as he let out a heavy sigh.
"Ok, I give up. I guess I'll have to make up a more reasonable report later," said the man in a resigned tone.
On the other hand, Odin was still silent and even looked back out the window at the night sky full of stars.
The man then put a piece of paper on the nightstand and said, "I left a phone number there. Call that number tomorrow to take your compensation and ..."
"..."
"As you wish, we will leave now. Then, good night and I hope we will never meet again," said the man and immediately left the room.
Meanwhile, the woman was seen looking at the boy in front of her with a flat gaze until finally the man called her from the outside and woke her up.
"Rose! Hurry up!" shouted the man from outside the room.
"I-I'm coming," The woman replied with a little stammer and then walked quickly after the man.
Only when the woman left the room, Odin could breathe a sigh of relief.
"Damn it!"
"..."
"How could he not smell that foul odor from that woman?! Did that Lodur make the wrong formula when making human noses?" Odin grumbled sarcastically.
After being satisfied with grumbling, Odin lay down on the bed and looked up at the white ceiling of the room. Suddenly he thought again about the original soul of the body of the boy he had possessed.
Why does this boy's soul doesn't wake up yet? — Odin wondered inside.
Time keeps running with the sound of the clock ticking filling the entire room. On a hospital bed, Odin was still lost in thought until he felt sleepy again.
However, when his right eye was almost completely closed, suddenly the sound of a clock clanging and a drum beat made him jolt.
DA-DUM-DA-DUM!
Odin suddenly covered his right ear and shouted, "W-What the fuck with this sound?!"
Not long after, a [System] notification sounded again and was followed by a notification screen.
