Money

Once they were away from the Temple and in their ship, Bruce changed his battle armor into something more comfortable and keeping with local fashion. He wore blue pants, a yellow shirt with a blue vest, and red boots. On top of this, he liked to wear Star Wars versions of shades to look "cool."

He developed a persona "Kol Dox," a happy but annoying kid with a sad story. If you knew Bruce, then you would know he finds all the kids annoying. It wasn't clear what he meant, so Bobby asked him. Bruce gave a list of children to give Bobby some idea of what he meant, Ned and Peter were at the top of his list. Bobby understood overly innocent and optimistic as Batman's idea of annoying.

Why he didn't want to use his name, no one was sure, but everyone kind of got into the spirit of it. Armando's name was Dar-Win of Coruscant, he thought the name sounded like a typical Star Wars name. Bobby chose Apok Lips, Johnny Fer Mann, and Karima chose Kar Sen. Finally, Bruce chose Hul Kanner. They used an updated version of the photostatic veil to change their faces when they used these alternate identities.

They wouldn't leave these names often, but they were part of their official identity in this galaxy. The Jedi Temple helped them get identifications and set up backstories for them in the Baynar databanks.

The largest galactic government was the Baynar Republic. They were at war with the Sith's Dyron Empire.

"Let's talk about something important," Bruce began. Everyone stopped to listen. Batman proved his capability and everything he said was important. Even if they didn't agree with him, they always listened to his opinion.

"Money."

"Didn't the Jedi give us a bunch of money when we sold most of our spoils of war to them?" Johnny asked.

"How long do you think that money will last? That little amount will only last a month at most. Don't forget, having a starship is convenient, but it's also expensive. Not to mention we need money for food, birthing fees at docs, insurance, taxes, and there are even more practical expenses I haven't mentioned.

In addition to all of that, we're going to need to fix up our ship even more to help us find everyone who is missing. We might need to pay for intel, a galaxy is a big place, and doing the work of finding our missing teammates by ourselves is inefficient," Bruce concluded.

"How are we going to get money then?" Bobby asked.

"I've researched it and talked with Master Devis, the best line of work for a crew like ours to go in is Bounty hunting," Bruce said.

"You want us to become bounty hunters?" Banner asked.

Being superheroes doesn't pay. Unless we want to become mercenaries and kill people, our skills are best for bounty hunting.

Our first stop is the Bounty Hunters Guild on Hokshan in the Kilawei system. It's a pretty large planet with lots of potential clients. We could probably get a couple of high-paying jobs in the system before beginning our search. The more money we can make now, the longer we can search without having to stop and work a lot.

"You don't expect me to help you as a bounty hunter do you? If I got angry there's no telling what the Hulk could do," Dr. Banner shrank from the idea.

"Listen, Banner, I've been codling you enough. We're in a dangerous galaxy and we need the Hulk's strength more than your brain right now! I need you to man up, if you can't find a way to tame the Hulk, let me know and I'll drop you off on a desolate planet where you can be alone and untroubled. We'll pick you up when we're ready to head back home," Bruce didn't give Banner any other option.

"Wait, do you understand what you're asking?" Banner objected and became upset.

"I've been trying to control this beast for years, and I'm no closer to controlling or getting rid of the Hulk now as I was over ten years ago when I first became the Hulk!"

"You're going to have to do better Banner. You won't have to do it alone, but you're going to need to stop dragging your heels and get to it!" Bruce menacingly moved toward Banner.

"What are you doing? Don't make me angry!" Banner's eyes had a slight tinge of green in them. Batman looked at his eyes and backed down.

"Why would I want to make you angry, Banner? That would be stupid and I'm anything but stupid.

I've been studying you before I joined the X-men. Most of your problems is mental. You reject the Hulk and act like he's someone other person. There's no difference between you and the Hulk Dr. Banner," Bruce said.

"The Hulk and I are not the same!" Banner protested.

"Keep telling yourself that. I know you feel guilty for what the Hulk has done, but until you accept that it wasn't the Hulk who did it but you; you'll never be able to control the Hulk," Bruce said.

"How can I and the Hulk be the same person?" Dr. Banner asked without much energy.

"Have you ever read the story about Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde?" Bruce asked.

"Yes, it's a great analogy to my condition," Banner nodded.

"Analogy? It's only an analogy because you refuse to take responsibility. Hyde was nothing more than Jekyll without restraint. Hyde's only power was to give Dr. Jekyll the ability to say "It wasn't me." But he knew, Banner, he knew who Mr. Hyde was and finally, in the end, he admitted it. Even though he died, he was free of the lies he made up. Jekyll and Hyde are the same person. It's the same as you and the Hulk," Batman said.

"It can't be that we're the same. I would never have done what the Hulk has done," he said.

"But you have, Banner, all the bad things the Hulk has done was because of you. Do you think this is the first time I've talked with someone who pushes away his crimes onto some costumed creation? The Hulk is your costume to pretend that Dr. Banner is innocent!

Banner's eyes turned completely green and his body grew and his muscles became like boulders and mountains. The Hulk completed his transformation and came to Bruce screaming.

"Little Bat lie, Hulk not puny Banner! Hulk smash stuped Bat!"
