The fear in his belly outweighed the pain in his shoulder at the deceleration. He'd expected it of course. Yuè would have been a fool not to, but it didn't stop the feeling of dread that settled in his chest.
"I do not wish to fight them. We have to go." He insisted again to Slade, tugging on the man's arm to get him to move. He didn't know how long whatever magic he was using would last, but Yuè wanted to be as far from there as possible.
Slade kept his arms raised as though he were contemplating on wiping them all out with whatever magic he had conjured, but instead, he lowered his arms. "As you wish."
He extended his hand out to Yuè. "We must be quick before the wall disappears."
Yuè took his hand, wincing at the pain that lanced through his shoulder. He would have to deal with that later. "We cannot take the carriage, we will have to go on foot." He said, already heading towards the line of thick trees.
