Before Peter could open the door, he caught a whiff of a familiar scent. He opened the door, the woman walked in blatantly. In a blink of an eye, she had already put her luggage on the sofa.
All of his anxiety and anger melted away in an instant.
He smiled flatteringly as he walked to her side and asked, "Zoe, did you come alone? You didn't tell me you were coming?"
"I was going to find Lottie but Shane answered her phone. I had no choice but to find you. It's peak season now, the front desk informed me there were no available rooms so I have to wait until eleven o'clock." Zoe was so tired she laid on the sofa.
"Are you hungry? I'll get you something to eat?" He crouched down beside her and started to massage her legs.
"I'm sure you didn't eat it yourself."
"I was working. Now that I'm free, I have time to eat. What do you want? I'll order it for you."
Zoe shook her head. "Anything is fine. Just get me the same as yours."
"Alright."
