First class

I arrived at the familiar looking classroom. It was in the other side of the building but was almost identical. It had six tall windows in every third row. It was the size of nearly two basketball courts with the seats taking the other half and the other half for teacher showing everything that they need to show.

I was already ready to fall asleep, how good would this be? I had been reading magic theory books for four years in a row and almost every day. I probably knew every bit of theory for everyone with less than four rings from memory. Because then it would get interesting again.

The room was almost full now, there were a lot more people talking and few were from my home room, except for the one familiar looking girl, that I did not remember. One elf boy who was as tall as me, and was human boy, this one however was totally ripped. His arms were as big as my legs and he was probably two meters tall.

None of us were looking at each other or try to measure our level of strength.

After about five minutes the teacher finally came in. It was a short human woman with some gray hair on her head. She put a pile of books on the table and said only one sentence that made me happier than learning magic.

-If you know anything about ring color or its sizes and can prove it, you may leave.

Everyone looked confused, except for two students. The elf boy and me. I however was closer to the teacher, so I got to her first. I used my lightning magic.

During the four years I had already gained my peak structure for third ring and would be ready to gain the fourth one at any moment. I currently had three deep blue cores because I wanted to have the fourth one deep blue instantly when I got it.

This deep color was however enough to satisfy the teacher.

-Good work boy, you may leave and never return because that is the last thing that we go through in these years.

I bowed to her and left, I was almost jumping in joy and wanted to kiss my mentor from the work that she had saved me from. While celebrating I had completely forgot about the elf boy, who had sneakily gotten behind me and then tapped on my shoulder.

-How many rings do you have?

-Why would I tell you that?

-What is your color?

-Why would I tell you that?

-What is your name?

-Why would I tell you that?

He didn't seem happy about my responses but I didn't want him to ruin my good mood.

-Name is Ayden.

-Mine is Percy. What about your badge's color?

-Can't tell you that one.

He frowned, I know that he didn't mean to spy on me but I still didn't want to tell it, just to be safe. I decided to be social once in a while and start a conversation.

-What do you have after this?

-Oh, I fighting, what about you?

-I have survival

He seemed a little down.

What other one did you choose.

-I chose advanced magic fights and magical plant studies, what about you? Surely you also picked at least the magical fights, you are so good at magic after all, if you even have different color rings.

-No, I have alchemy and artifacts.

He seemed to feel down.

-I didn't pick it because I already know all I need to know about magical theory and I already have experience fighting.

-How?

-I'm an adventurer.

-Wooow

His eyes looked like puppies. I swear that I could see the galaxy in them.

-What are you going to do now?

-Probably go to the library or my dorm.

-Okay, see you at lunch.

I said bye too and we walked our own ways. He probably just wanted to make friends or something. I was already near the library so I got there fairly quickly.

I really didn't need to go there, but master had only taught me about my core and mana control and some simple arrays. Nothing about my lightning magic so I wanted to look for something new to improve my lightning magics spells.

I only knew how to use it like aura, improve the surroundings better for me, make a sword, shoot lightning weapons and a trump card that I improved with Ben. I knew that this wouldn't be enough, even if I did have my sword.

When I stepped inside, I surprised about the library that the school had, it was after all bigger than the capitals. I thought that it would be the biggest that they got, but I was wrong. This one had three more floors and all rows were longer and wider.

There was something even more interesting, that was a hologram screen near the entrance. I walked up to one and I was shocked. It was a search bar. I of course had to tr it. I typed lightning and there came a big list of book titles.

Some I recognized but most were something that I didn't even know. I scrolled the menu to see if there was something interesting. I now thought that I should have picked the Improvised magic usage course to get better hold of my magic.

I then scrolled past a book that's title seemed interesting. I scrolled up a little bit and then read it fully.

"Lightning beasts"

I clicked the icon and the book appeared in my hands. Now I don't have to go to that course because I'll start to be creative myself. Monsters use a lot of magic. Lightning magic is mainly for birds and cat animals. This book may give me ideas for my future magic usage.

I took the book and walked to the cafeteria. The food wasn't ready till 11am and it was still 10am but I could just wait here till the food was ready.

I opened the book and from the tale of contests, I first noticed that the book was in two parts. First for the ground monsters and then for the flying ones. The one for the flying ones was twice as thick but there still were a good amount of lightning using ground monsters.

I peacefully read the book in peace, only a couple of other people had come into the cafeteria after me. I only read and didn't pay any attention to them like they didn't pay any to me. Soon the food was brought to a long table and the lady informed, that the food was ready.

I took my book and took it with me to take food. I picked a tray, spoon, bowl, and a glass. Lunch seemed to be some kind of soup, today was Jerusalem artichoke soup. I took some soft bread and water with it. I walked back to the table that I was sitting in.

I ate in peace and read. No one came to bother me, not people from my dorm or home room. That was perfect for me, if I really had to come to a school, I would rather study interesting things and things that make me stronger. Like this book, I didn't like to study back on Earth but here I can study things that I actually need.

After eating I put the tray on a stack of other trays and bowls and glasses. It looked like I was back in middle school. I started to walk towards my next class, which was a survival class. It was outside near the dorms, so I decided to just go there immediately.

The hallways were now full of people going to eat. So, it was hard to read and walk in a straight line. I eventually got there. It was an open field near the edge of the forest. I walked over to the closest tree, jumped on a branch, and laid down to continue reading.

I got to lay down for almost one and a half hours before people started arriving. It didn't seem like there wasn't a single same person from the magic theory class but could be that they were just sleeping or something.

After about ten minutes there was almost the same amount of people that there were in the magic theory class. I didn't see anyone remarkably familiar, there were some that I wasn't sure if they were from my home room, but it didn't matter. We weren't that close and probably never will.

The people from my dorm were taking glances at me but not coming to speak. I then saw two people coming. One of them was a blond-haired guy that was about 2cm shorter than me. With him was Olivia?

I didn't pay much mind to them because the instructor arrived.

-GATHER AROUND!

I jumped down from the tree and walked to where everyone else was. I stood waiting for more instructors when I felt like someone was pulling my sleeve, I turned around and it was Olivia.

-pstt, you're Ayden, right?

-Ye

-Why are you here?

-Because of my mentor.

-Do you remember me?

-Olivia.

She finally put her hand down and I then peeked a look at her and she had changed a lot. She no longer looked like a child, I mean she was still cute and too young for me. She still had the same green eyes and hair, and with that a green bull on her shoulder. She was still short, like 160cm and her chest was a little bit bigger, what am I thinking?

After that I felt a tap on my shoulder, it was the blond guy. He had sharp facial features, green eyes and overall, his aura was like a romcom protagonist.

-Joshua.

He took my hand and shook it.

-Is she your girlfriend?

Now instead of judgmental, suspicious and many other things, he now looked surprised, disgusted, and like I was crazy.

-No, she's, my sister.

When Joshua had finished his sentence Olivia, had tried to stop him but not on time.

-I thought that the Count didn't have other children.

Panic was shown on Joshua's face.

-I mean, she is like a sister to me.

I could see sweat forming on his forehead and he took a paper to wipe it off. I stared at him suspiciously but he didn't say anything else.

-Okay, if that's what you say.

-Hey, I'm telling the truth

-SHUT UP BRATS.

I thought that when I grew up in height, they wouldn't call me a brat anymore. Seems like I was wrong. I then took a look of the instructor. He was a beast man, he looked like a bear, about 210cm height, big legs, and arms. He looked like a strong guy.

He continued to talk about the course and what was included in it, that we didn't even do anything and got to leave 45min too early. I didn't have any motivation for my next class, I had to drag myself in there and like the last one, it was super boring. I hope that it gets more interesting.

(*(

It didn't, both the classes for artifacts and alchemy were like the survival one. The teacher only talked about what we were going to do. I don't know why, we don't get any grades or anything like that, so why must we go through that.

I walked back to the dorm and my room. Ben was already there, he said that his day was as boring as mine and probably wouldn't get interesting at all. He even complained how there weren't any cute girls, so he asked if there were in my classes. I didn't want to be suspected of being gay again so, I told that there were a couple. He instantly looked interested but didn't say anything anymore about the topic. We both went to bed after joking for a while.
