After accepting things as they were for the time being, the girl felt a sudden surge of energy within her body, which made a -part of her heartache and she gritted her teeth as she crouched down and the creature looked at her, before approaching her and she glanced at him.
Adiria wondered what was going on with her and thought that maybe it was just a side effect of the changes that were happening to her body, which it was but there was more to that as well, for her body was only now starting to get used to having such strong magical energy, one which was suppressed in her as a child.
"Are you okay?" Someone asked and her eyes widened as she turned around and saw a guy covered in a cloak was standing behind her and the creature looked at him.
"W- Who are you?" She asked as she felt pain running through her body.
"Relax, I am not going to hurt you, if I wanted to, I would have done so already, you are in pain, aren't you?" He asked and her eyes narrowed as she clenched her fist.
"Don't even think of lying, I can see it, move," He said as he approached her and she was about to move but he grabbed onto her arm and she glanced at him as he placed his right palm, against her chest.
"Excuse me," He said as a blue glow covered his palm and she felt a cold air brush against her and her eyes narrowed.
"Is it going away or does it hurt more?" He asked.
To her surprise, the pain in her chest, had started disappearing and she looked at him then he glanced at her with piercing green eyes and she nodded.
Even though he was a stranger, whose face she couldn't even see and could possibly be an enemy, he helped her and for that, she was thankful, despite the situation she could be in.
"Thank you," She said as he helped her up and he sighed before looking at the creature, who was acting like a guard dog and he scoffed.
"Relax, I am not going to hurt anyone, I am just someone who is off duty and is passing by, that's all, why were you in pain?" He asked and she lowered her gaze.
"I see, it's something you cannot talk about, well, you work in the palace, secrets are not a good thing to have there, also if you have hidden agendas, if they find you suspicious of something, they won't stop until they find out what it is, the palace is as dangerous as any other place, you know that though, don't you?" He asked and she scoffed.
"I know and I don't care," She responded.
"Then, whatever it is, it must be something worth risking your life for, that's the only reason someone would go there without caring whether they will lose their job or not," He said and a smirk appeared on her face.
"Think what you want, I know what I am doing, thanks for the help, I don't know whether you are an enemy or not but for now, I don't have a problem with you but if you were to get in my way one day, no kindness in the world would stop me from killing you," She replied as she walked away.
"Be careful, you should know, not everything is always as it seems," He said and her eyes narrowed, as she kept on walking, for she knew that better than anyone else.
The creature followed her and the guy glanced back at her, with his eyes narrowed and a few things running through his mind then he scoffed before leaving.
After leaving the woods, Adiria sent the creature away, since she knew if he stuck around, they may misunderstand and try to hurt him, which she was not going to let happen, for he had protected her before and more than once, she was thankful to him as well.
Upon returning to the palace, one of the maids called out to her and she glanced at the girl, who was rushing towards her and her brows furrowed, wondering what was going on this time, for she wanted to relax a bit.
"What is it this time?" She asked and the girl sighe.
"It's the child, he is giving us trouble, can you take care of him?" The girl asked and a blank expression appeared in Adiria's eyes.
When the girl saw that a slightly nervous smiled appeared on her face as she stepped back, while Adiria moved forward slowly and the girl swallowed.
"Why are you getting angry?" She asked.
"Oh? Do I look angry?" She asked and the girl nodded then Adiria scoffed, before exhaling deeply.
"Whatever, I will go and take a look, it will be night soon, but I don't think there is something called rest in this place," She added as she walked past the girl, who glanced at her.
Adiria went to lady Anyel's chamber and upon seeing her, the child hugged her tightly and she flinched then patted him on his head as lady Anyel approached her, with a tired look on her face and she smiled at her.
"Go get your rest, I will help you sleep him," She said.
"He wanted to see you, I guess he is still worried because of what happened earlier," She replied and Adiria smiled at him.
"I understand, relax, I will sleep him," She said.
'Thanks, also, Sorang left earlier today, he went for some work, he will be back later, so you can get to rest as well," Anyel replied and she sighed in relief.
After a little while, Adiria managed to sleep the child and when she was finished, she returned to her room to call it a night, since it was already getting late and she was tired, after a long day.
The next morning, when she woke up, she did her normal morning routine, but just as she exited her room to go to work, something hit her at the back of her head, causing her to feel dizzy and her eyes widened as she saw someone before her, with her vision getting blurry and she fell unconscious, wondering what was going on.
