The girl lowered her head after hearing what the emperor had to say and a few thoughts came to her mind, including the ones, where she was not strong enough to start pushing forward to much or rise to a higher rank within the royal household and she exhaled deeply as they stared at her, waiting to hear what she had to say.
The girl recalled every word the emperor said to her, even the part where he said she belonged to Sorang and she glanced at the young master, who smiled at her and her brows furrowed, knowing it was something she had to risk for the truth.
'Why does this feel no different than being bloody sold? Whatever, I am still sort of weak, as I am now I can't climb too far, I need to get stronger in order to even do something like that, it's only a matter of time as well,' She thought.
[I can help you get stronger, let you learn the basics of your ability, what you need to do and how they work but how strong it will get, all depends on you, you have to take it from there, after all I am just your guide.]
After hearing the voice within her head, Adiria swallowed, then wondered if she was going crazy or not and the emperor exhaled deeply.
"I am fine with staying where I am but instead can I ask you to hold that question for a little later? Then I will be able to give you an answer, when the time is right, is that okay?" She asked and the emperor approached her then placed his finger under her chin, raising her head up and she looked at him as he stared at her.
"I have to say, you are someone who would fit right in, among them..." He added and Sorang's eyes narrowed as he looked at him.
"I think she is waiting for your answer, please don't get touch feely with her, your highness," Sorang said with a gentle smile on his face and the emperor glanced at him then scoffed before stepping back from Adiria.
"Fine, I will hold it off for now as well as giving you a position, I have to wait and see what you want first, so are you okay with what I just said? Will you do that?" He asked and she looked at him.
"Yeah, I will do that, I am not clumsy and my hands are not only for doing chores, I just hope that I will not be misunderstood again," She responded and the emperor smiled at her.
"Fine, as you wish," He said and she went to Sorang then his eyes narrowed.
'Now that I have gotten myself this involved, there is no turning back, I have to start training like I used to but, just with the blade, for now I will not let anybody find out about my abilities, I will keep it a secret, as for the voice I just heard, I need to figure out what that was, looks like another gate leading to hell just opened up for me,' She thought, before sighing.
"Let's go, we have an ongoing investigation to take care of," Sorang said as he walked away and she and the one who was working with him, followed him quietly but Adiria's mind was no different than a storm, at the time.
The girl was confused about a lot of things around her and didn't even know who to talk to about it, since she had no idea what was going on and wanted a few answers.
Upon returning to Sorang's office, Adiria excused herself and went to her room, to take a break but that's not what she actually wanted to do.
"The voice that I heard just now... I know I am not imagining things, why am I hearing your voice?" She asked as she looked in her mirrow and her eyes began glowing, as though it was reflecting the presence of another being within her.
"What the hell are you?" She asked.
[If I were a person, I would have considered that quite rude, but I am not, so it doesn't affect me, I am your system, something which was granted to you, one which is hardly ever given to others, but given your circumstances, it would seem as though you are a special case.]
"I am the special case? Well, that's new, because I don't feel special at all, so you are a being in my mind, that's not disturbing to know at all," She added with a blank expression in her eyes.
[You really are something else, your entire existence is like a ticking time bomb, I am a system, mainly here to guide you with your abilities and other knowledge that other magic users may have but you don't, since you are starting out late, but they won't know that, plus you will have more, some which are not even accesible to most.]
"I see, well I understand that much, but will you always be here?" She asked.
[I won't pry into your personal life, I am at your command, there is no need to worry, though you may want to be careful, you are the one that will make a lot of enemies, fast, especially since you have gotten involved with the emperor, there is an unbalance within the atmosphere right now.]
"I know, I can sense it, it's because of the recent fights, people's greed, it's like it's affecting nature itself..." She mumbled as she closed her eyes, sensing the energy around her as it wrapped around her body.
[Amazing, you can already tap into that despite only now starting out, from the looks of it, none of this is natural talent, you are different from the other magic users apparently, how different, even I don't know the answer to that, do you want to start practicing? To see what you can do in your current state?]
"Ah, I almost forgot, there is a lot I need to do, I would like to see how this words with my sword skills, let's do it, please guide me," She responded
[There is no need to even say please, I am at you command, master.]
After hearing all of that, Adiria left her room, heading into a part of the woods, where no one would come for the time being, to start practicing, for she wanted to know what she could and could not do.
