"You cannot control the forces of the Eternal Night!" the Guardian bellowed, its voice echoing through the skies. "You are meddling with powers far beyond your comprehension!"
But Wei Lin, her eyes glowing with the energy of the Codex, stood firm. "We're not here to control it. We're here to survive."
With a final surge of power, the light from the Codex engulfed the Guardian, and with a deafening explosion of energy, the being was consumed in a brilliant flash of light. The shockwave sent the group flying back, the earth trembling beneath them as the Guardian's form dissipated into the ether.
