ATOHMMA

The natives were elemental. They were known for their superpowers and special abilities. Everything revolved around Atohmma being the descendant of the ancestral native elf people and becoming the true leader. She was petite, powerful, wise and envied. Her world was strange, cold and foggy. Many years passed before she realized, that even her fleeting thoughts, had the power to affect, destroy or improve her world. Copyright: Tricia A. Chapter Thirty-Six

"Many ages ago, the elf people, our ancestors, found this place. No one else knew of this world or that it ever existed. Their was a battle, that led to them finding here. Many other natives of other worlds were saved during that battle. Our people saved them. The elves. Our powers and magic, got many of our elders safely through during that time, it helped us to conquer and to save as many as were alive and worthy of saving. Our ancestors were searching for a safe haven, a place of refuge, a place to start over. They found this island after trying to cross the river that meets the sea, when they got into difficulty and was brought here by the current. Little did they know of this underwater world, but when they realized how fertile and homely it was, they decided to make it a home. They saw trees, clean water, plants of all description and yes, they saw strange creatures, but they were not scared away by them, they just left them alone and utilized the other parts of this world, hence the villages. The natives that were saved occupied different areas as they were exploring. They chose spaces that seemed habitable to them and developed it. The elves came back after exploring and decided that this was the most habitable place for them. The elves needed dense forests and were good with the strange creatures and their wisdom of plants, so, our ancestors used this village as their home. The elves were very adventurous, so some of them went into the other villages to assist the natives there. Some stayed with the ones they saved and offered their skills and trades to help them build and to teach them about the strange leaves and trees. The wisdom of the elves are spread across this entire world. This is why you see some of them in other villages, but they are not full elves. Our ancestors merged with the natives of the other tribes and had children. They are also part elves. Although this may sound like they are part elves like you, they are not. They were born that way and grew that way. You, Atohmma, is of the royal lineage, as your ancestors, were the Chiefs among the elves. They didn't merge with other natives to have you. They merged with fairies. Many other elves, merged with fairies, but they were not of the lineage of royalty. We have tribes among the elven people as well. There are different elves, although we may look alike. There are dark elves, light elves, enchanters, travelers, sorcerers, healers, and the warriors. By now, I'm sure you understand why you are the "chosen one". Your lineage were the only ones who had the ability to fall into anyone of those categories of elves. They had the power to be any elf and to understand the mysteries. If you wanted to, you could become a warrior elf or an enchanter, but that will only limit your fullest potential. "Atohmma listened on as he continued. She didn't seem to have questions. She was curious, and it was aroused.

The Chief sage continued...saying, "The Chief elves, your ancestors, came back to this part of the world. They found it was habitable for them, as they needed dense forests such as this to exist at their fullest potentials. They also had the wisdom of the mysterious elements, plants, trees and strange creatures that dwell here. It was the most suitable place for elves to use as their home. The crystal lake was the only lake in this southwestern area and the elves had to find water that they could consume. One day, while one of the elder Chief elves were exploring for water courses that may have extended from the other villages, he found the crystal lake. He had the special ability to test the purity of water, so he held some in the palm of his hands to taste if it was safe for use. As he held the water to his mouth, the oracle that you know as the Diamond-Back Cobra, appeared in the reflection of the water he held in his hands, and said to him, that the water was sacred and this lake was like a crystal ball, that could show them things and warn them of many future events. The oracle gave the Chief a sneak peak into a future forecasted event that eventually did happen, which made the Chief believe even more, in the sacredness of the space and this body of water. Learning of this, the Chief asked the oracle, if he knew where they could find water that they could use and the oracle told him about the underground springs beneath the lake, that led to the fresh water pond on the other side of their village. That is what they connected their water courses to, for use in their tent homes. From that moment, the crystal lake was considered to be sacred. No elf, ever used it to bathe, drink, wash or pollute."

"The stories were told in order to keep everyone away from the lake. There was a story, that the Cobra lived in the lake and that kept natives away from the lake for centuries. Some believed, it would swallow anyone who dared to step into it. This was what your father heard, when he was mad at you for going near to the lake as a child. The crystal lake is sacred and magical to the elves. The stones at the bottom, are magically charged with much power that enables the water in the lake to remain alive and full of mystery. It was one of the reasons the elves, settled here in these parts, made it their home and cultivated the land. The elves were the only natives capable of living here without fear of the strange creatures and their wisdom of the herbs and trees, were necessary, to enable the other natives to survive, have food and populate."

Allowing your mind to wander, is imagination into worlds unknown.
