chapter 9
A crowd had gathered on the beach of Melemele Island around two young adults: Ash and Lana. The two were in white with Lana in a white wedding shoulderless gown. Ash wore a white tuxedo with his wild hair flying in the wind. Harper and Sarah watched on Lana's side with Mallow and Lillie. On Ash's side were Gladion, Sophocles and Kiawe. It was a wedding as Principal Oak united the two in the front. A crowd of Pokémon also watched from Pikachu to Primarina. Ash and Lana made their vows, Samson feeling joyous. "With their vows made, if anyone objects to the union, speak MEOWTH or forever WHISMUR your peace," he joked. No one laughed but no one said a thing. "Ash, Lana… I now pronounce you MANTINE and wife!" Cheers began as Ash and Lana shared a kiss, now married. Harper and Sarah came to Ash and hugged him.
"Welcome to the family… big brother!" they greeted.
"Thanks, you two!" praised Ash. The twins released Ash for Lana to be by his side. The rest of the bridesmaids and groomsmen gathered for a photo of the wedding.
it was a dream. Harper and Sarah woke to the rising sun in their home. They gasped and glanced to each other. "I just had a great dream!" they yelped to each other. "We gotta tell Lana!" They hurried out of the room but the door closed. To Harper and Sarah, Lana left. Looking through the window, they saw Lana walking out with Popplio in her arms. The twins missed their chance.
"Sarah, what now?" asked Harper. Quickly, Sarah had a plan.
"Let's follow her!" she declared before pursuing Lana. Harper followed her twin. As they trailed, they did their best to remain hidden from their big sister and Sea Lion Pokémon… or Ash and Pikachu as they arrived among the trail.
"Lana!" he called down. "Alola!" Lana turned to see her classmate and Pokémon.
"Ash!" she called up. "Alola!" To Harper and Sarah, it couldn't be a coincidence.
"Lana's with her boyfriend!" they believed as they monitored Ash reaching Lana.
"I know it hasn't been long since Poipole had to stay home," she started.
"I'm fine, Lana," Ash shrugged off. "The other Poipole and that other Ultra Beast are glad to have the light back with Necrozma." Ash's backpack came open, Rowlet sleeping soundly.
"You've seem to be looking forward and not back."
"What's past is passed." As the two youths proceeded on, Harper and Sarah saw something not right.
"How Magikarpal!" they gasped. "They're not holding hands?" They continued the chase to the Pokémon School. Harper and Sarah hid behind Kukui's desk but moved on around the perimeter of the classroom while viewing others arriving like Lillie and Sophocles. Togedemaru, Marowak and Snowy welcomed each other. Before long, Professor Kukui and Rotom entered as well.
"Alola, class!" the professor greeted. Everyone sat in their seats. Harper and Sarah grew frustrated that Lillie sat closer to Ash than Lana.
"Alola, Professor!" the students greeted back. Ash sat and Rotom came to his side.
"So, did you get the upgrades you asked?" questioned Ash.
"Well, not entirely," Rotom sighed. "I got some for the Ultra Beasts that appeared but not the one with all those Poipole. Aether Paradise… they determined to call it UB-07:Stinger." Kiawe seemed disappointed about the research done.
"At least we returned peace in the Ultra World," he weighed. The class got going where Harper and Sarah began understanding Kukui's lessons. After a few hours, the twins fell asleep while Ash, Lana and the Pokémon had lunch.
"Professor Burnet must be a great person to have around," Lana praised. "She must be if she can cook this before going to Aether Paradise." Ash wasn't concerned about Burnet's abilities.
"I'm just glad that she and Professor Kukui are happy," he smiled. "Heck, if I wanted to… I would just go to Poni Island for the next Grand Trial." Tsareena shared some Pokémon food with Snowy. Out of nowhere, a hiss stirred Harper awake. She turned to find a Pokémon that caused her to scream. Hearing the scream, Sarah woke to find the scary Pokémon as Lana recognized the scream.
Harper? Sarah?" As guessed, Harper and Sarah escaped their hiding place as a Salandit crawled close to them.
"A Salandit!?"
("Is it that one!?") asked Pikachu. Salandit hissed at the two.
"Don't eat us!" they cried. Salandit flung a Flame Burst at the two, forcing Lana to react with Popplio.
"Balloon!" she called out. Popplio blew a balloon up and threw it, intercepting the Flame Burst. Ash decided to follow up.
"Use Quick Attack!" he commanded. Pikachu raced at Salandit and bashed it to the railing overlooking the courtyard. Ash and Lana glanced to each other and nodded.
"Harper, Sarah, get behind me and Ash!" Harper and Sarah, scared from Salandit's appearance, obeyed and circled to the other Pokémon. Salandit recovered and hissed as Lillie heard smashes.
"What's going on!?" she wondered. Realizing their Pokémon were in the classroom, Sophocles sensed trouble.
"Let's check it out!" he ordered. Kiawe led as Lana readied her Z-Ring.
"That is enough, Salandit!" she scolded as she extended her arms out. After bringing her arms in and crossing over her chest, she performed a brief Hawaiian hula which powered her Watrium-Z to Popplio. "This is for attacking my sisters! Hydro Vortex!" Popplio's raced after and around Salandit as a whirlpool formed around the two Pokémon. Salandit was caught in its wave and couldn't escape. Ash decided to act as well.
"We're next, Lana!" he warned as he made the same arm gestures, except he brought his arms to the sides, as did Pikachu. Then, Ash made a lightning bolt out of his arms in powering his Electrium-Z. "Popplio, now!" Popplio flew out of its Hydro Vortex. Ash and Pikachu wound up to use their Z-Move. "Pikachu, full power! Gigavolt Impact!" Pikachu punched his javelin of electricity that pierced Hydro Vortex. Struck, Salandit flew out of the whirlpool and away from the Pokémon School like a line drive. With Salandit gone, Ash, Lana and the Pokémon focused their attention on Harper and Sarah as Kukui and the students arrived.
"What happened!?" asked Mallow. What they heard was Harper and Sarah crying hysterically.
"We're scared!" cried Harper as she hugged ash
"We thought we're toast!" whined Sarah as she cried on Ash's shoulder. As the twins cried, Ash wondered about the intruding Pokémon he sang this song to them

she stopped crying and said she missed him he said give me one minute Then he asked kukui if she could come live with him and he said yes than he asked bonnie if she wanted to come live with him and she said yes he said i will be there in 2 to 3 days to get you she said ok
"Was that the same Salandit that attacked Snowy as an egg?" he questioned. Snowy shivered to the thought as Lana wondered to her sisters being in school.
"What are you two doing here?" she asked. "Shouldn't you be at home with Mom?" Their faces told Ash and Lana more of their fear with Salandit than anything. Feeling sympathy, Ash waged a decision.
"Let's have them stay here and learn with us," he offered. Harper and Sarah's eyes grew in awe at the offer.
"Can we, Lana?" they pleaded. Lana huffed a chuckle before accepting the idea.
"As long as you two behave," she advised. The twins cheered as Kukui called class to order.
"Alright, everyone!" he declared. "Let's get going with the next lesson." Everyone returned to their seats as Harper and Sarah joined Ash at his desk they fell asleep . After Komala rang the last bell of the day, Ash asked Hobbs if he can take me to kanto to get me adopted daughter and Hobbs said when Ash said in 3 he said ok days than Ash carried Harper and Sarah They reached the fork in the road where Ash came from when Lana grabbed Ash's arm. Harper and Sarah woke up.Ash turned to Lana as the twins also spun to the two.
"Harper, can you come and hold Popplio for a minute?" she asked.
"Okay…" Harper agreed before taking Popplio from her arm. Lana turned to Ash with concern.
"Ash, ever since I introduced you to my sisters, they've believed we were a couple already. However, you helped me with understanding Popplio better, and what we've done together: the fishing battle with Wishiwashi, the encouragement with my Z-Move, the fun with Pikachu and Rowlet… Harper and Sarah… they're right! We are a couple!" Ash gulped to the confession.
"Lana, I know we've seen each other ever since I rode a Sharpedo when I first arrived in Alola," he recalled.
"Yes, I'm aware." Pikachu bailed from Ash's shoulder and joined Sarah. "The thing is… I've wondered if maybe this is what Harper and Sarah wanted, and maybe… someone I wanted. It may have been when we lost Popplio and Rowlet, or it may have been when Dewpider had me for awhile… But seeing how you treated Harper and Sarah today, I feel like now I know what to do." She released Ash's arm but grabbed his hands. "Ash Ketchum, I… I want to rest the rumors and start dating!" Ash stood in shock. He turned to a wishing pair of sisters and their Pokémon. That's when he removed his cap and fitted it on her head backwards.
"Lana… I can tell how happy it will make everyone when I accept it." Elated, Lana leaped up and kissed Ash on the lip as her leg popped up. Her sandal fell to the ground as Harper and Sarah enjoyed the sight, believing the dream they had started to bear fruit.
"It's coming true!" they cheered. "It's coming true!" The Pokémon blinked to Harper and Sarah's claim.
("What's coming true?") asked Pikachu. When they broke their lip-lock, Ash noticed the sandal.
"Lemme get that," he offered. He knelt down and redressed her sandal with her toes wiggling.
"That's more like it," she sighed. Seeing Ash's act, Harper and Sarah nodded before kicking off a sandal each.
"It's our turn!" cheered Harper.
"Dress our feet, Ash!" ordered Sarah. Ash gulped to the twins' acts.
"You two can dress your own feet," Lana groaned.
"Dress our feet!" the two urged as the girls' mother found the kids.
"So there you girls are," she sneered. "I figured you two had to be out doing something mischievous with Lana." Harper and Sarah gulped while the Pokémon returned to their owners.
"We had a fun day today!" claimed Harper.
"Ash and Lana are now married!" claimed Sarah. Ash and Lana gawked to Sarah's exaggeration.
"Too soon!" they snapped back. Pikachu and Popplio sighed in fluster.
"But we dreamed that you married!" proclaimed Harper.
"And look how happy you are now!" added Sarah. Suddenly, the twins felt a strong sensation of anger behind them. Looking back, they saw their mother burning mad.
"Get in the house… NOW!" she demanded. The twins became scared out of their minds and could wonder what the mother would do to them if they didn't obey.
"So, that's where the anger came from," Ash shuttered. Harper and Sarah reapplied their sandals before going inside. After the twins retreated, the mother saw the new pair.
"So, is this true that my eldest daughter's now dating?" she asked.
"We are, Mom," Lana confirmed. Elated, the mother hugged the two.
"My baby girl's growing up…" After breaking the hug, she had a guess as to Ash's appearance. "So, will you be staying tonight?" Ash took one glance to Lana as they held hands.
"I think so," he admitted. "I'll need to call Professors Kukui and Burnet, let them know the issue."
"No problem." After being let in, Ash joined the family for dinner. The Pokémon were also fed. Night fell and Ash slept with the girls as Popplio slept with Pikachu and Rowlet. Rotom took pictures of everyone snoozing before he shut himself down. Lana snuggled by Ash's head, Harper was on Ash's arm and Sarah wrapped his leg. It would be a glorious night for the four.
Ash woke up in the morning and made breakfast burgers for everyone they all woke up smelling something Cooking and went out ash said this is for letting me stay for the night and if you ever want a day to yourself I will look after Harper and sarah for you because they were nice at school yesterday she said can you look after them today he said yes i can then the for went to school to do school work 2 hours later Harper and sarah were sleeping in the corner of the class they had a nightmare and woke up crying ash ran to them and sang them this song

than they stopped crying he said what happened they said mom died in a fire he heard the fire truck go out and ran out of the room and got out Greninja and said Greninja go up ahead and go into lanas house and get her mom out of the fire he did he got her and put her in the ambulance and got in to he called kukui and asked if he could talk to lana he said yes he told lana the news and said i got her out and we are on our way to the hospital and she said she would be there in 10 minutes he went in to hele because the hospital had no doctors to help at the time 15 minutes later he went out to the waiting room and said she is stable for now the went to see her ther mom asked him to adopt them and he said he would kukui heard what he said the machines that she was hooked up to started to beep so he told them to go to the waiting room and they did he went out and said that she is stable for now and they went in ash got one knee and asked lana to marry him and she said yes I would love to marry you her mom said congratulations to them than the machines that she was hooked up to started to beep he said lana you and your sisters can stay here but the rest have to live they did he started to work on her he said time of death 12:30 he took them out and they cryed he took them to mallow and lillie and said can you take care of them for 5 minutes they did he called his mom and said tell bonnie that I will be there in 2 hours to get her
Than he went back to Lana and her sisters
then ash went to get bonnie Hobbs landed the plane outside of his house and bonnie saw it and went out Hobbs said master ash would like you to get on the plane and she said master ash she did than saw ash holding 3 girls she asked who is this he said lana he said she is My girlfriend and these are her sister's Harper and Sarah and he said she is bonnie she said nice to meat you they got back to the island than he said talk with them i have to go meat a friend because he challenged me to a grand trial bonnie asked if she could come watch he said yes you can but you have to stay in the stands and she said she well they got there and he said this is a one on one battle battle began and ash said Pikachu use Gigavolt Impact and the challenger was out ash said you can come back anytime you won't bonnie asked what move was that ash said a Z move he got a call from mallow and asked if he c as n deliver food for her he said i will be there in 10 he told bonnie that she would have to go to Lana's house because i have some deliveries to do and she said ok he did the delivery and was above Lana's house and told Charizard to do fire spene and he did he landed and took out entei and walked inside the house with him lans as nd Harper and sarah said who is this ash said a legendary pokemon named entei and he is sweet to kids it was the day of the wedding

Welcome Statement
Minister: Dearly beloved, we are gathered here on this beautiful day to witness the union of Ash and Lana in holy matrimony. This is a day of great celebration and reverence, on which we come together before God to recognize and commemorate the sacred love and dedication shared between these two people. It is wonderful to have family and friends here to join us today. The Groom and Bride would like to thank their guests for being here, and would like you to know that each of you were invited here on this day because you have played an integral part in their intertwining lives.
As the Bible reminds us in Corinthians, "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres. Love never fails."
In the time that Ash and Lana have spent together, they've built the sturdy foundation for a lifelong relationship. After a great deal of thoughtful consideration, they have decided to bind themselves to one another for the rest of their lives.
May you all remember and cherish this sacred ceremony, for on this day, with love, we will forever bind Ash and Lana together.

Minister: (Addressing guests) Marriage is a sacred ceremony. Today we observe the union of these two people with the respect the occasion warrants. What we honor with reverence, however, we also celebrate with great joy! For married life – a shared life – is a tremendous blessing. Now, as Ash and Lana embark on this journey together, they will be able to nurture a love that makes each of them better versions of themselves. Marriage is, indeed, the perfect garden from which to sow and harvest personal growth.
(Addressing couple) Ash and Lana, learn to work together, to laugh together, and to love together. Don't get caught up in worldly things that will draw you apart. Instead, focus on your shared devotion and turn inward. As your relationship strengthens you will find that you come to share a remarkable love; a love that is both abundantly given and freely accepted.
The joy you'll find as you pursue your shared lives will fuel you to face head-on the challenges you'll encounter on this Earth. On your journeys together, keep your spouse in the space of highest priority in your heart. The love you share must be guarded and cherished, it is your most valuable treasure.

Minister: Under the eyes of God, I solemnly consecrate these matrimonial proceedings and the sacred covenant you shall both enter into on this day.
Marriage is an ancient rite. As you enter into this union, you are choosing to take part in a historical human establishment and are pledging your commitment before the witnesses present here today to enter into that tradition with honor.
As Jesus said: "Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning 'made them male and female," he also taught that, "For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate."

Lana went over to Ash's house again and repeated the whole process again; almost thinking about going back, shaking off the fear, and forcing herself to ring the bell. But this time, Sarah answered the door.
"Oh, hey there lana, what's going on?" he asked.
Lana smiled this time, not having to be nervous around one of her friends.
"Oh, hey sarah ." she said.
She nodded upstairs behind him.
"Is ash home?" she asked.
Sarah nodded.
"Yeah, he's in his room." he told her, pointing upstairs.
He kept talking.
"He and I just came back from the Java Lava with Chuckie and your dad" he told her "We would have invited you, but your mom told us that you and Susie were still working on your homework, sorry."
lananodded, looking past him.
"It's alright, uh, can I go and see him?" she asked.
Sarah got a look of realization on his face.
"Oh, oh yeah, sorry" he said, and moved out of the way so she could come in.
She thanked him, and then headed straight upstairs.
Connie and Harper noticed this and crossed their fingers as they saw her head upstairs.
"Let's hope this all goes over alright, Deed" Harper told her.
"Oh, I hope they get together," Connie said with a smile "they'd look so right as a couple."
Ash was sitting on his bed, strumming an acoustic guitar, when he heard a knock on his door. He set the guitar down and opened the door. He saw lanathere.
"Oh hey lana, my mom just told me that you stopped by earlier." he told her, smiling.
Lana looked at him, and saw that smile almost made her melt.
"Come on in, have a seat" he told her, and slid out the chair from his desk for her to sit down on.
Even with a limited amount of Harper ff to use, ashwas still a gentleman to offer her a seat.
'Oh god, do I want him to be mine!' she thought.
She looked and saw that he was missing a few pictures. Ash saw her looking, as he sat back on his bed in front of her, and pointed up at them.
"Oh yeah, I took down some of my pictures since Rachel moved away" he told her "I hate to admit it, but she was never really mine, and well, I have to move on."
Lana's heart skipped a beat. This just gave her an even better chance for them to get together.
But as she saw the look on Ash's face, she held back. Why should she try to get ashall to herself when he had lost a girl he really liked? He couldn't get over someone like that so fast, especially after the whole fiasco that they had set up.
She felt so selfish right then.
She sighed sadly.
"Oh, I'm sorry Ash, I forgot that you were still sad about her moving away." she told him, leaning over and placing a comforting hand on his lap.
Ash looked up and shook his head.
"Nah, I'm not all that sad, I'm fine." he told her, smiling again, and lana could tell this was sincere.
She nearly melted once more.
"So; what's up?" he asked.
Lana got up from her seat and sat next to him, getting his full attention. She looked up at him.
"Look Ash, these past few weeks, I've been thinking a lot about a certain something important, and well, you've probably been hearing about my grades lately." she told him.
ash nodded.
"Yeah, I heard our parents talking about your test scores a few weeks ago, and that's why Susie's been tutoring you lately."
lananodded, scooting a bit closer to him.
"But there's a reason for that" she told him, "You see, I have a problem, and you're the only person I can talk to about it, because well, it involves you."
ashput an arm around her, and Lana just about lost her breath.
"Well, I'm here for you lana, always, just tell me whatever you need to tell me" he told her.
Many things went through Lana's mind at that moment; she remembered all the way back to when they were babies when she first moved to America, waking up from their first group naptime together and finding her with her arm around Ash. She remembered the ski trip and how excited ashwas about getting his first kiss from that girl Olivia. She remembered Ash's film festival when he apologized to his friends for catching them at their most embarrassing moments through a new film. And she thought of how great a friend ashwas for always looking out for everyone in the group, and even what he had just said to her.
She looked up at him, and finally did what she had been wanting to do for years; she grabbed ashby the back of his neck, pulled him closer to her, and before he could react, she kissed him, right on the lips!
At first ashwas a bit shocked by this, but then he returned the kiss, putting a hand on her shoulder. After a few seconds, they broke the kiss, and after a few moments of silence, lana spilled her guts!
"Ash, I lied a few years ago about just liking you for a second when we were little" she told him "I've always liked you, and keeping this a secret from you has just been so unbearable that I haven't been able to do anything lately; I can't eat, I can't sleep, and I can't focus on my tests or my schoolwork without getting you on my mind!"
She looked directly at him.
"I really like you Thomas Pickles, heck, I believe whole-heartedly that I LOVE you, and I just had to do that thing right now, I couldn't hold it in any longer!"
She saw the shocked look on Ash's face, and looked away, ashamed.
"Now that I've just unloaded on you, I can understand if you don't wanna talk to me anymore" she told him.
She was about to stand to leave, but that's when he snapped out of his shocked state and grabbed her wrist.
"lana" he said, having her hang back.
She looked back at him.
"I'm so happy that you just told me that because well, I like you too, a lot" he told her, blushing a bit.
Kim smiled, beginning to blush as well.
"Really?" she asked.
Ash stood up with her.
"Really" he answered, nodding.
Lana looked him in the eye.
"Like me enough to tell me that you, maybe even, sorta…" she let the question hang.
ashcocked an eyebrow.
"Love you?" he asked.
She nodded, almost in excitement.
"Of course" he said to her, with that smile that almost made her melt again.
And at that, she threw her arms around him.
"Oh, Ash!" she almost cried, a few tears going down her face "You've just made me the happiest girl in the world!"
Ash hugged her back.
"And you've made me the happiest young man."
Lana pulled back so she could look at him, still keeping an arm around his neck, his hands still on her waist. She began to finger-walk her hand up his chest, putting a flirty smile on her face.
"So Ash, how forward would it be if I asked you to be my boyfriend right about now?" she asked.
ash blushed a bit at her being so flirty with him right off the bat after hooking up.
"I'd say that you just beat me to the punch of asking you to be my girlfriend" he told her.
Lana smiled even more.
"Well then, who am I to turn down such a great offer?" she questioned, shrugging.
And, with that, they both embraced in a kiss once more.
They both got lost in the sensation, until they heard Ash's door open, and saw a flash! They both unwillingly broke their kiss and saw Ash's parents there, along with Sarah , and Connie was holding a camera, which is what she took a picture with.
"Oh man, congratulations, champ!" Harper told him, pulling him into a hug.
"Yeah, way to go bro!" Sarah said, punching him on the shoulder, after Harper let go of him.
Connie nearly squealed as she put the camera in her pocket.
"Oh, my little man finally has a girlfriend!" she said, wrapping her arms around him, kissing him on both his cheeks, twice.
Ash's whole face had turned red in embarrassment and anger, and seeing Lana laugh at this only made him even more embarrassed.
"Guys! C'mon, can't we get a little privacy!" he said, yanking his mom's arms off, and wiping her lipstick off his cheeks.
Lana laughed again.
"Whoa, don't get ahead of yourself Ash, we just hooked up" she told him "You might wanna give that part a few years before we get there!"
That got ash to blush again as both of his parents and his brother laughed at that
It was lana's first day of school everyone was mean to her except for ash at the end of the day he walked her home the next day she was not in school so ashtook her homework to her after school he was about to knock on the door when he heard lana say do not worry about dinner we still have a can of beans in the fridge her dad said no we do not
ash looked in his pockets and saw he had a hundred dollars in his pocket he went and got them some food then he went back to her house and knocked on the door lana answered it
ash said he came here before to give her her home work and he heard that they were out of food and water so I went and got you guys some food and if you need a shower you can come to this address and me and my grandparents will let you guys take a shower lana said do you want to come in and meat my dad
ash said ok he came in and lana went to get her dad she said a friend brought my homework over and it was already done and he also got us some food her dad said can I meet him she said he is down in the living room he went to meet him lana said his name is Steve than lana said this is the person I hope well be my boyfriend someday because he was the only one that was nice to me yesterday at school and he even walked me home yesterday and his name is Ash
ash said nice to meet you and yes I will be your boyfriend and if you need a shower or a place to stay you can come to the address that I gave to lana then he told lana do not were about the homework it is all right because it is my homework she said thank you and kissed him on the lips
than he said I have to go home and do not were about paying me back I will do this every week for you then he went home and told his grandparents that he did something nice for a girl from his class she was not in school today so I did her homework for her then I went to give it to her and overheard that they did not have food so
I got them some food and I told her if she needs a shower to come to me and I well let her use my shower and if her and her dad ever needed a place to stay that I can put them up in my room they said that was nice of you he went to do his homework 1hour later his grandpa said that there was someone to see you he said to send them up his grandpa said go up the stars and all the way down the hall and up another flit of stairs she said ok

Ash went to go see who was here and when he did his eyes widened, it was the last person he'd ever want to see ever again.
"Oh shit it's Z!" ashsaid which shocked everyone and the color went from Lana's face.
"Harper hid your sister in my room. I'll deal with that bastard myself!" he said and Harper nodded. Ash looked at Sarah and Dil "Guys I want you to go into the kitchen, I'll holler if I need you."
"Give him hell T" said Dil as he and Sarah ran into the kitchen.
ash quickly went to the couch and pretended to read a magazine when the front door was bashed down by the green-haired delinquent himself, Z…
"Where the fuck is she?" he growled.
Ash put the magazine down and looked up at him "Where's who?" he asked, trying to look innocent.
"Don't you play innocent with me!" Z spat "I know that lana's hiding here and I want her in front of me right the fuck now!"
ashstood and raised his hands up" Look man I don't know where she is so can you please leave?"
Z crossed his arms "I've a feeling that you're gonna be difficult with me Pickles."
"Well sir if you're having problems with my customary services, call 1-800-eat a dick" ash said with a small smirk.
"That's it!" he yelled and then went up to ash and punched him in the face hard which knocked him back. "Guys get in here now!" ash yelled.
Harper heard the commotion and rushed down. When he got downstairs there was Z in front of him with a knife "Oh fuck…" he croaked out.
"Harper , where is lana?" Z demanded while poking the knife at his Adam's apple. He was about to slash him when he got smacked by a wooden bat knocking him away from Harper .
"Nobody does that to my man!" a woman yelled. To everyone's surprise it was none other than Connie Deville and Harper went up to hug her. Ash got up from being punched and saw Z about to get up, he grabbed the bat from Connie and rushed up to smack the knife right out of his hand.
"MOTHER OF FUCK!" he yelled in pain "DAVE, DAN, KAMERON GET IN HERE!" Z yelled for his friends and all 3 of them got in as fast as they could. "GET EM"!" Z yelled. Soon the Pickles house was turned into a fighting arena. Ash, Harper , Dil, Sarah , and Connie charged at the four guys but Kameron stayed behind Z because he didn't want to fight. Sarah rushed up to him and was about to tackle him.
"sarah NO!" Ash shouted "This guy was the one that saved Lana. Don't hurt him!" A few minutes later Lana came to see if it was all over and when she got downstairs she saw Z, Dave, and Dan's unconscious bodies tied up and piled on top of each other. She then looked to see Kameron.
"Kameron!" she shouted and went up to hug him and then she hugged Ash"Thank you so much for saving me Ash, Kameron, Harper , Dil, sarah and… connie ?" she said surprised to see her here.
Connie gave a small smile "Hey…" she said.
"What are you doing here?" she asked.
Connie sighed "Look, I've been doing some thinking lately and I was wrong to treat you guys the way I did." She explained "I'm sorry, can I come back to the group? If not then I understand…"
Lana gave her a big smile and hugged her "Of course Connie , you were always welcome" she said and everybody cheered. Connie was back with the gang.
Later
ash called the police and within 3 minutes they arrived to take away Z along with the two other men.
"Hang on a minute Chief." Said Lou.
"What is it Lou?" asked Chief Wiggum.
"This is the Z character we've been looking for 2 years and we finally caught him!" he said
"That's some good work there Lou, book em'. Will you guys be pressing charges against these men?" he asked.
"Oh hell yeah Officer" said Ash. Now all that's left to do is to go to court and fight the final battle.
The next morning
There were two days left until the trial and Ash needed to gather evidence from Z so it will help them rid him out of their lives for good. To do that ashneeds to visit him in the hospital.
"ash rise and shine." Didi said waking him up. ash groaned.
"Mom, can I sleep for five more minutes please?" he asked.
"No, now get your lazy ass out of bed and onto your feet'' and ash did. ashwas nervous about meeting Z, the last time he saw him was when he took Lana away with him 2 years ago. As ash got changed he hid a wire under his clothes. He then went downstairs and to his surprise was Lana waiting for him. He was happy that she was here and he went up to hug her.
"ashare you sure you don't want me to come?" she asked.
"Yeah lana, I don't want Z getting to you. I love you a lot and I don't want to see you hurt again." He spoke softly.
"I understand, just don't do anything stupid and be careful" she told him.
"I promise, last time I checked the bastard was beaten to hell and could barely move. This should be a piece of cake." Lana giggled and slapped him on the shoulder. ashate his breakfast and when he was finished he kissed lana, high fived his brother, and hugged his mom and dad.
"I'll see you guys later" he said and walked out to his parents' car and drove away. lanaand dil looked at the car until it was out of sight.
"I sure hope to god he knows what he's doing Dil…" said lana.
"Yeah, me too Kim" said Dil with his arms crossed. "Come back safe big brother" he thought.
At the hospital
ashsat in the car in front of the hospital "Come on man you can do this!" he said to himself "He's not gonna do jack shit" he then finally got out of the car and entered the hospital. Ash went up to the front desk.
"Can I help you?" asked the receptionist.
"Yes, I've come to visit Z, he has green hair. Do you know what room he's in?" he asked. The receptionist looked through her record book and finally found Z.
"Ah yes Ezekiel Brainard (I didn't like Z's real name in the show so I made up another one), he's in room 176" she said.
"Thank you Miss," Ash said and walked down the hall to Z's room. Before he entered the room he took a huge breath "Alright man this is it, just do what you are supposed to and get the fuck out." He thought to himself. Then Ash pushed the record button on his hidden recorder and opened the Door.
There Z was lying on the bed battered and bruised, a sight which Ash liked a lot. "Sup Z?" ash calmly said.
"You? What the hell do you want from me now Pickles?" Z said, already irritated at him.
Ash shrugged and sat in the desk chair next to Z's bed "I just came by to get to know you better. And since you're probably going to the big house anyways I thought you could tell me what you've been up two over the last 2 years."
Z scoffed "And what makes you think I'm gonna just tell you everything?" he asked "I don't owe you jack shit."
Ash'sfists clenched and then he pointed at Z "Listen here asshole, you took my girl away from me, you beat her to shit for no reason, and then you broke into my house threatening to kill me and my friends. I sure as hell owe jack shit."
Z laughed "Alright Pickles I get your point, so what do you wanna know?"
"First, what happened 2 years ago before you left?" ashasked.
"My parents were being complete assholes, they were angry at me for failing, having pot, drinking, and screwing girls all the time." He sulked.
"Alright, why did you go on that trip?"
"Because my parents got on my last nerve and were making me do what they want. So I decided to escape it all and took David, Daniel, Kameron, and Lana with me. And besides I already had a warrant out for my arrest anyways."
"Third question, what exactly did you do on the trip?" ashasked
"Me, David, and Daniel did most of the stealing. We stole like at least 150 grand. It wasn't easy though, I actually had to blow a couple fuckers heads off." He bragged with a smirk.
Ash wished he hadn't heard that last part but he had to go on. "How did you feel?" ashasked.
Z raised an eyebrow "Excuse me?"
Ash crossed his arms "Did you feel any remorse for taking an innocent life?"
"Maybe at first but I got used to it. Only felt remorse when I almost got caught…" he said shrugging his shoulders. "Let me tell you something about murder, it's easy and it's fun."
"You sicken me." Ash said with disgust in his voice.
Z scoffed "Yeah, like I didn't hear that from those other 13 fucks I killed."
Ash growled at Z, he wanted to take an axe and butcher the green-haired son of a bitch and end his life because he felt like he didn't deserve the right to humanity. But he still pressed on, this is good information to put him away for a lifetime.
"Alright Pickles wrap it up, I got a show to watch and I don't wanna miss any of it"
ash took a deep breath "Fine. Answer me this, WHY THE FUCK DID YOU HURT lanaYOU SON OF A BITCH? WHAT DID SHE DO TO PISS YOU OFF SO BAD?" He yelled.
"Yikes Pickles take it easy." Said Z with his hands up "I only did that because she was bitching and complaining the whole trip so I beat some sense into her. But hey if it makes you feel any better I had to slap a few syllables into Kam too since he didn't steal like Dave and Dan or kill like me." He finished "Does that answer your question?"
"Yeah, that wraps everything up." Ash said leaving the room but when he got to the door he turned back around and pointed at Z "If you ever get off easy, you better stay the hell away from my girl!" he threatened and left the room slamming the door behind.
ashwalked to the nearest bathroom to splash some water in his face. That was pretty tough for him to hear but he got the evidence to put Z away for a long, long time.
Ash was dressed in a suit and tie and met his friends downstairs. He hasn't spoken to them since the night Z and his two cronies were taken away. Lana gave him a hug and he hugged her back.
"Hey guys sorry I didn't talk to any of you yesterday, that hospital visit with Z really pissed me off." He said.
"It's alright man, you just had a stressful day that's all" said Harper . Soon it was time to go, Harper and Dil rode with their parents as did Harper , Lana, Sarah , and Connie . On the way to the courthouse ashwas starting to feel nervous, he'd never been in a court trial before.
Dil looked over at his brother and saw him slightly shaking "Relax T, just try and think about something else." He said and ash did, he thought about lana. They soon arrived at the courthouse and there waiting inside the house was Ash'slawyer Prescott Banks and Kameron. The reason why Kameron was at the courthouse was because he said he would testify for ash and lana.
Soon the judge arrived. "All rise for Judge Perkins." Said the bailiff.
"Please be seated," said the judge. "The case we have today is ashMalcolm Pickles versus Ezekiel Bartholomew Brainard, David Anthony Richardson, and Daniel Michael Evans for break-in, assault, theft, murder, and abuse. How do you three plea?"
"Guilty your honor" said David.
"Guilty," said Daniel.
"Not guilty, your honor" said Z as he winked at Lana which made Ash feel anger.
"Prosecutor, your opening statement" said the judge.
"Thank you your honor" said Ash'slawyer as he stood up "Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, as you may have heard Ezekiel Brainard here broke into the Pickles home and was about to kill my client ash Pickles and his friends while David Richardson and Daniel Evans helped. Just a few weeks ago, Lana had ran away from Mr. Brainard because of his abuse and because he and the two other defenses stole and M. Brainard had also killed 13 people during the road trip. Prosecution rests."
"Defense do you have an opening statement?" asked the Judge.
"No." said Z.
"Very well, prosecutor call your first witness." He said.
"Thank you your honor, Mr. Ash Pickles would like to take the stand."
"Now Mr. Pickles, can you please explain to the court what happened on the night of the incident?" asked the Judge.
"Yes, I will your honor." ash started "It started as a normal evening for me, my friends, and my returning girlfriend Lana or at least it was until Z and his friends showed up unexpectedly. Before they came in I told my friend Mis. Harper Finster to hide her sister so Z wouldn't take her away. Z then bashed my front door down and demanded me to tell him where Lana was, when I wasn't cooperating with him he punched me in the face and left me with this horrible black eye. And then he went up to Harper and threatened him with a knife, but then Miss Connie lian Deville showed up with a baseball bat and knocked Z away before he could hit Harper . I know it sounds violent but she was only trying to save him. After that a big fight broke out and me and my friends eventually won and successfully tied up Z and the other two."
"Thank you Mr. Pickles, defense your witness" said the judge sternly and Z's lawyer stood up and started asking Ash questions.
"Now ashyou claimed that my client Ezekiel broke into your house and tried to murder you and your friends?" he asked.
"Yes, I just told you." Said ashirritably.
"And is it true that while on the trip he stole stuff, murder, and abused your girlfriend lana, am I correct?" he said looking at lana.
"Yes sir."
"Do you have any proof?" the lawyer asked.
"Why yes I do, it is on this voice recording here." Said ashtaking out the voice recorder he hid in his pocket.
Z's face went white.
"Objection your honor, this hasn't been checked by the police!" said the lawyer sternly.
"Overruled, this recording could hold evidence of what happened. Bailiff please organize a speaker for me please." The bailiff nodded and pulled out a speaker and plugged the device in. Then the bailiff turned on the recorder and played back the recording to everyone in the courtroom. As the recording was playing back people were gasping at what they were hearing and left mostly everyone in disgust.
When the device finished playing back Z's lawyer quickly spoke "Your honor Mr. Brainard would like to change his plea!"
"I'm not going to allow that. Has the jury reached the verdict?" asked the judge.
"We have your honor, we find the defendants guilty for all charges." Said the head juror leaving Z, David, and Daniel shocked.
"Sentencing will be decided tomorrow at noon, court adjourned." Said the judge smacking his gavel. After that everyone left, ash and lana walked out of the courthouse together. TV cameras and reporters were everywhere.
"Mr. Pickles, how does it feel to win a court case with a two year chasing criminal?" asked a reporter.
"It feels awesome, I'm glad that Z's probably gonna go away for a while and as for David and Daniel I don't care." Said AshLater Ash and Lana met up with the gang.
"Hi guys!" said lana
"Hey, there's the champion!" said Sarah as he patted Ash's Back.
"Thanks Sarah, " said Ash smiling. "Say lanado you want to stay for the night?" he asked.
"I would love to Ash. Harper, is it alright if I stay with ashtonight?" she asked.
Harper smiled "You don't have to ask I trust him. But Pickles like I said before, no funny business! Ya Dig?"
ash rolled his eyes "Yes Harper , for the thousandth time."
"Good, lana I'll bring you your clothes by later." Harper said.
"Thanks Chuck" lanasmiled "We'll see you all later." And after the six friends said their goodbyes they all departed.
Later that night
Ash and Lana were in Ash'sroom and they were chatting.
"Remember that song you sang for me?" lana asked.
"You mean our song?" ashasked.
"Yeah, the one you used to sing to cheer me up when I was depressed."
"Do you want me to sing it for you?" Ash asked and Lana nodded her head yes.
Ash got out his acoustic guitar and started playing "Hero of the day" by Metallica.

After Ash finished the song he looked at Lane who had tears of joy in her eyes.
"I love you Kim, I'll always be there for you. And I promise I will do my best to never let you down." He said.
"I love you too Tom Tom and I promise I'll never leave you again, you're mine forever." She cried and they both hugged and kissed as they went to sleep.
The next day
Everyone was back at the courthouse where Z, David, and Daniel were waiting for their sentences. The judge sat down in his chair.
"You two step forward." He pointed to David and Daniel and they did. "David Anthony Richardson and Daniel Michael Evans you both have committed theft, larceny, assault, and you both have aided in home invasion. For that I am letting you two off easy, you both will be serving 3 years maximum sentence and 6 months prohibition. Now get out of my sight and my court room." He said sternly. The two boys nodded with tears in their eyes and were taken away by the officer.
"Now you step forward." The judge said to Z with a hint of anger in his voice and Z did.
"Ezekiel Bartholomew Brainard you have committed 13 counts of murder, theft, abuse, larceny, and home invasion. I have dealt with sickos before but you sir just take the cake. By virtue of the jury's decision and the power invested in me by the state, I hereby sentence you to be incarcerated with no possibility of parole. For life."
"LIFE? WHAT DO YOU MEAN LIFE?" yelled Z "IAIN'T GOT A LIFE!"
The other two officers grabbed Z and took him away "Boy, your soul better belong to Jesus." Said one of the officers "Mmmm hmmm. Cause your ass belongs to me. Ha! Ha! Ha!" The officer laughed as he took him away.
Life for Z as we know it, had ended…
Chapter 7- Christmas reunion
Four months later
It was Christmas time for the rugrats and with Z's imprisonment; life's a breeze for them. No one knew what was to happen to him while he was in prison but he should be taking it real good up the ass as Sarah and Dil would put it. It was also the time for Kameron to be reunited with his family. But he was nervous.
"I dunno about this you guys, it's been a few years since I've seen or talked to my folks. They probably disowned me by now…" Kameron said.
"Oh come on Kameron." Lana scoffed "I ran away too but when I came back my parents didn't hate me, I'm sure your parents still love you."
Kameron shook his head "You don't understand, my parents are real hard asses and they were gonna force me to join the military which was the reason why I ran away in the first place. They were keeping me from fulfilling my dream and I just couldn't take any of that."
"Well what's your dream then Kam?" ashasked.
"My dream is to be a drummer in a band and see the world." He explained
"That's cool. You can join my band with Harper and Sarah if we ever kick Dil out." Ash laughed which made lanaand Kameron laugh too.
"Well I guess it's worth a shot, maybe you're right it is time for me to be reunited with my family." He said.
"That's the spirit!" lanasaid.
Once Kameron's stuff was all packed up him, Ash, and Lana got into Ash's Car and drove all the way to Pasadena where Kameron's family lived.
"Ok man where is your house at?" ashasked.
"Next right." Kameron said pointing to a cul-de-sac. Then ash parked the car in front of a small white house that had a silver BMW parked in front of the garage.
The three got out of the car and walked up to the front door. Ash rang the doorbell and a woman in her mid-40s answered.
"Yes, can I help you?" she asked.
"Mom?" Kameron said nervously. His mother couldn't believe her eyes, her long lost son was home.
"K-Kameron?" she said nervously "Jim get in here!" she yelled. Then a balding man the same age as her came in.
"What is it Natalie?" he asked and then looked at Kameron and his eyes widened "S-son? Is that you?" he said with tears forming in his eyes.
Kameron went up to hug his parents, all three were crying tears of joy. ash and lana just smiled at them.
"My baby is back I can't believe it!" said Natalie. "Julia come in here please!" she called.
A young girl at the age of ten came in the living room and when she saw Kameron she freaked and started crying the same tears of joy "Big brother?" she said.
"Julia!" Kameron said running up to hug his little sister and she hugged him back.
"Well it looks like they're enjoying their early Christmas present" Lana said and Ash nodded.
"Guys, I'm sorry for leaving you all, it was a huge mistake." Kameron said.
"It's ok son we forgive you. We're also sorry for forcing you to become what you're not." Said Kameron's dad.
Kameron smiled "Guys, this is ash and lana, they brought me here."
"Honor to meet you Mr. and Mrs. Katsopolis" said Ash"Oh thank you for bringing him back to us, how can we ever repay you?" asked Kameron's mom.
"Well there is a Christmas party at the Wombat's Banquet Hall tonight. It would be awesome if all of you came and meet our family and friends." Said lana.
"Of course, that would be very nice. What do you say honey?" asked Kameron's mom.
Jim nodded his head "We would love to go." He said.
So for the next couple hours before the party they all talked with each other about Ash's movies and music and Lana's heritage. Before Ash and Lana left they gave Kameron's family the directions to the Banquet hall where the party was being held.
"Hope they'll all be happy together." Said Ash"I'm sure they will baby." Lana said and kissed him.
Later
Everyone came into the Wombat's Banquet hall to celebrate Christmas. There was food, booze, dancing, karaoke, and a band playing Ash Harper , Sarah , and Dil's band specifically).
Ash was singing and playing rhythm/lead guitar, Harper was playing lead/rhythm guitar and singing backing vocals, Sarah was playing bass and also singing backing vocals, and Dil was playing drums. The band just got done playing "Peace sells…but who's buying" from Megadeth.
Everyone in the audience cheered for the band.
"Thank you." Said ash"We're Paradise in Anarchy and that was our last song. Now, who's up for some karaoke?" he asked and the crowd cheered again.
"Alright then, let's party!" said Harper and a song started.
Ash: All right you Chipmunks, ready to sing your song?
DIL: I'll say we are!
Harper : Yeah! Let's sing it now
Ash: Okay Simon?
Harper : Okay!
Ash: Theodore?
DIL: Okay!
Ash: Ok Alvin? Alvin? ALVIN?
sarah : OKAY!

At the end of the song Lana kissed ash under the mistletoe. And then as Sarah , Ash, Lana, and Dil left the stage Connie came on next to Harper who had his acoustic guitar with him and began singing a duet together which was "Happy Xmas (war is over)" from John Lennon.

Everyone cheered again and the noise echoed over the room which nearly blew the roof off. Harper and Connie smiled at the applause "Merry Christmas everyone!" they both said in the microphone. Then a long pole with a mistletoe attached to the end of it was held over them.
"KISS! KISS! KISS!" the crowd chanted and the two did, the kiss lasted 10 seconds and it was the most beautiful thing the two new lovers had ever experienced.
Five months later
It was the biggest day of everyone's lives, the now grown up rugrats are finally graduating. Ash, Lana, Harper , Sarah , and Connie couldn't believe it. After the blood, pain, and tears they suffered through the last year the broken hearts were finally restored. All they have to worry about now is college which won't be a problem for them since the two of them will be attending the same college together, the way it should be and how it will always be.
When they entered the school they put on their gowns and hats and headed straight for the auditorium. They all walked in and sat down as the principal stood at the podium to speak.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, parents, friends, and of course students" he announced "It is with great honor and regret that I like to say goodbye and that you're free from this school and out into the wonders of the world. I remember when all of you were only little freshmen, you were all scared and nervous about being at a new place, meeting new people, and seeing new sights. Now it's time for you all to spread your wings and fly. I want to say that I am proud of each and every one of you. God Speed." Everyone then clapped for the principal's speech.
Then the lights dimmed and a presentation was flashed on the projection screen showing the various pictures of the gang and every other student going from freshman to graduating seniors. The song that played during the presentation was "Two steps behind" by Def Leppard. ashheld Lana's hand and hummed along with the tune for her.

After the presentation a couple of the parents had tears in their eyes from seeing their children grow but Lana got teary eyed because the song reminded her of Ash and herself.

As soon as the personal achievement awards were given out it was time to call on the individual graduates to pick up their diplomas.

After the graduation
The five now grown rugrats had received their awards and were outside where they got their photos taken.
Group photo." Said Didi. So Ash,Lana, Harper,Sarah,and Connie got together for a group photo.
"From this day forward we will be known as the Rugrats." Said ash proudly. He then looked over at lana and smiled. It had been a hell of a year for him, he lost his girlfriends and now she came back to be with him. Life has gotten better for the two lovers.
