Yuri quickly grabbed the goblin and forcefully threw it to the ground. While focused on the injured enemy, she tried to pull out her dagger, but it was stuck in the goblin's shoulder. After several tries, she managed to free the blade, realizing the risk of it getting stuck again. Instead of stabbing, she slashed at the goblin to keep the dagger free.
Tsubaki couldn't help but notice Yuri's fast learning and silently admired her. As Tsubaki chuckled, she saw the goblin getting back up after Yuri had thrown it down. Keeping her hand on the hilt of her blade Tsubaki was trying to decide whether or not to warn Yuri of the approach of the second goblin. Just as she decided to warn her though Yuri moved to the back of the injured goblin and in turn pushed it into its comrade causing them to entangle and forcing them to fall again.
After opening up some breathing room she then decided to put an end to the fight as soon as possible. She approached the downed enemies and then quickly sliced the throat of the injured one.
She then stood on the hands of the remaining monster effectively pinning it. She slid the blade over its neck silencing the room now devoid of monsters.

After completing her quest Yuri couldn't help her excitement. She ran to Tsubaki and without thinking jumped on her squeezing her in a hug. After about ten seconds she realized what she was doing and with a blush, she let go and stood in front of her apologizing for her behavior. After Yuri calmed down Tsubaki patted her on the top of her head between her ears.
Tsubaki:" You did better than I expected. While you did make some mistakes you were able to learn from them and managed to win the fight. And you didn't need me to get involved".
Hearing the praise from Tsubaki Yuri's face lit up and she had a shy smile on her face. Tsubaki then proceeded to ask if she felt comfortable using the dagger, or if she wanted to try the next fight with a different weapon. After thinking for a few seconds Yuri decided that she was a little uncomfortable using a weapon with such short reach.
After taking the weapon back from Yuri Tsubaki handed her a sword and couldn't help but chuckle. Due to the fact even though it was just a normal sword to her at a width of around 1.75 inches the overall length of the weapon was around 3'10" making it almost seem like a
greatsword or Zweihänder.
They rested for a couple of minutes before continuing deeper into the first floor looking for more monsters to fight. After about three minutes they stumbled across a kobold. Yuri readying the sword charged trying not to give the kobold the chance to ready itself. Yuri got in reach and swung the sword down and to the left. managing to slice from the neck into the chest ending the creature in one hit. After collecting the magic core that had dropped. She walked once again to Tsubaki and explained that the sword was a bit too uncomfortable. Yuri just didn't like the feeling of keeping her hands together on the handle.
Tsubaki thinking of this asked if Yuri might like a spear or a lance. Thinking about the issue with the dagger getting stuck she stated that she still preferred slashing weapons. Thinking about this she told Yuri that she had a few weapons in mind but didn't currently have any with her.
After spending another hour in the dungeon using a few other types of weapons. Yuri still didn't find one she liked. They decided to call it a day and headed back to the entrance and left the dungeon. As they left they entered the guild to exchange the dropped items from their trip.
Approaching the exchange counter Yuri ended up exchanging ten goblin cores and seven kobold cores. In exchange, she received three thousand valis for all the goblin cores and three thousand five hundred for the kobold cores. Making her wallet sixty-five hundred heavier. In Yuri's mind, it was a pretty good first day.
After arriving at Tsubaki'house she asked Yuri to follow her and lead her to her workshop. Upon entering she noticed the walls were covered in different weapons. Yuri was made to stand in the center of the room as Tsubaki handed her one weapon after another. She was made to swing the weapon a few times to get a feel for them as she was trying to find one that felt natural for her.
After trying out what felt like half the weapons in the room she finally found one she liked. It was a scythe that kind of reminded Yuri of the one that the Grimm Reaper was pictured carrying in her previous life. It was curved almost like someone glued two bows together facing the opposite direction from each other. And had a place to grip closer to the blade. The handle was made out of a material Yuri couldn't identify it was light practically weighing nothing but almost looked metallic. But the feeling was more like wood. The blade was black but the cutting edge had almost a red glow to it.
Tsubaki noticed the look in Yuri's eyes and let out a loud laugh. Yuri hearing her laughter turned to look at her and with her cheeks puffed out asked "What is so funny". Seeing her adorable puffed cheeks made Tsubaki burst out laughing a second time.
After calming down Tsubaki stated, "It's just that the weapon you seem to have grown attached to. Generally is not one most people tend to use as a weapon. I usually only see farmers buying those to harvest things like wheat". After hearing her reasoning Yuri stuck her tongue out at her and responded "Farmers harvest wheat and I'll harvest the lives of monsters".
After hearing her response Tsubaki could only shake her head. After finding a weapon she liked she decided to take Yuri to see Hephaestus and have her check her Falna to see what her progress if any was.
After they put away their gear they showered and changed into some clean clothes. They headed out to go to Hephaestus's workshop.
Excited to see if she had grown stronger Yuri failed to remember that she has a system. The sad truth is she could have just looked her stats up.
They finally arrived at Hephaestus's workshop and upon entering Yuri felt like she walked right into an oven. As Luck would have it they arrived just as she was putting the finishing touches on a weapon that one of the core members of the Loki Familia had ordered.
Noticing who had entered she placed her tools to the side. She approached the two and asked Tsubaki "How did she do" Tsubaki told her everything that happened within the dungeon and how she seemed to be a really quick learner.
Just as Yuri thought she was finished. Tsubaki glanced at her and with a mischievous glint in her eyes stated "Our little harvester here seems to like a scythe as her weapon so we will need to see how she handles using it on our next trip to the dungeon".
Yuri was too weak to teasing so with a blush covering her face. she just stayed silent and looked at the floor like it was the most interesting thing in the room.
Having to hold back the chuckle that threatened to leave her mouth. At the cute reaction of her newest famillia member, she asked if she was here to update her falna. Getting a nod in response she led Yuri to a room in the back and had her remove her shirt again. She once again pricked her finger and let a drop of blood touch her back.

Satisfied with her increase Hephaestus printed her falna onto a sheet and handed it to her. After getting the sheet Yuri looked at her status and couldn't help but ask "Doesn't it seem like my status is rising a little too quickly?"
Hephaestus faced her with an understanding smile "That is because the first time gaining excelia in the dungeon also brings out your latent unused potential. It will most likely slow down from this point".
Satisfied with the explanation Yuri gave the sheet back to Hephaestus and left the room. Meeting back up with Tsubaki they sat and talked for a while. Before they left for the night, Yuri decided to ask about the possibility of being trained in smithing loving the idea of one day using a weapon of her own creation.
Agreeing on the fact it would be a good idea Tsubaki stated that when she manages to get to the point where she is able to safely enter the dungeon up to the fifth floor without her being worried about her safety she would start her training herself.
