Chapter 16
When it comes to wind ability, people tends to sharpen it and used to cut down opponents.
Yuna play with the small wind that forms in her palm.
For wind, Yuna does not want to give any form. Wind is formless and she wants to hold true to that. Wind have always been formless in the element, reading so many novels, Yuna have her own way of getting her epiphany and understanding of it.
As a reader, her imagination has always been limitless.
The elemental book said that giving an element a form or such thing but not all elements can be clustered in one type and Yuna is smart enough to know not to follow the word of a book to the dot. It was written by human being too, according to their own understanding, even machine makes error much less human beings. Even if its' not a mistake, it was their own interpretation and Yuna have her own interpretation.
Each to their own darling, each to their own.
Well, until proven wrong, Yuna tends to stick to her own ideal— Stubborn and rarely indecisive.
Of course, her stubbornness like her decisiveness stem from the fact that she was too lazy to try other methods and learn another way. Even if her method might be cumbersome, she was already entangling with such hardship, to change all those effort and start a new, Yuna does not have that of a strong forbearance.
The good thing was that Yuna like to search a much easier method so everything is fine, for most things that is.
She has refine her fire into such that it can melt metal…..well, to be more precise, after she successfully reformed her plate, her control and upgrading of heat have improved leap and bounds.
As she already achieved the level she wants to attain, Yuna wants to focus on other elements. She learn fire first mainly because she want to learn something offensive to protect herself, the next one should be her most desired to learn which is wind, the greatest assistance in elements.
She wants to fly! She wants to soar into the sky and be like superman!
Every child dream is to be able to fly and that has not change even after adulthood. In fact, it became more pronounced because adult have to travel to all kind of places with many adult reason, who don't want to just fly and be able to go to anywhere easily?
Yuna does not rush to fulfil her childhood dream when she first transmigrated only because she was in another world and even if she is muddle-headed, she insistently want to learn thing that could protect her well. As a year round reader, she understand clearly that fantasy world is never a setting to be taken light of so she chose to learn the most destructive element first which she is quite thankful of thinking back on the first person she ever killed.
Maybe because she has suffered tremendous pain and have hovered between life and death because of the dimension stone, Yuna mentality seems to improved and became more stable such that her first ever murder does not haunt her too severely as she expected it to be which gave her relief.
"Since wind is formeless….."
Then Yuna don't want it to have a form. There is also that saying
• Wind represent freedom
But freedom is such an abstract concept and does not have a clear definition, every person have their own notion of freedom, so, Yuna put such saying aside for the time being. Maybe, when she gets a grasp of what freedom is, she will focus on such saying.
Yuna lie down on the meadow, a place that was farther away from the town, green lush and gentle winds, it was a perfect place to be a spot for picnic.
Yuna raise her hand and feel the gentle breeze.
Slowly closing her eyes, Yuna guide the wind elements in her body, adjust her breath and body to be like the breeze— Gentle, calming and relaxing.
Yuna does not control the wind that blew around her body, she just silently guide the wind and let it lift her body slowly. The first few try was a little wobbly and Yuna almost fall flat on the ground. Thankfully, her mastery of element control is superb so she does not make a fool of herself.
Still, her floating in air is shaky.
"…follow the wind, follow the direction of the wind"
Yuna repeat and desperately stops herself from forming a structure on the structure-less elements that lift her up.
Feeling the wind direction, Yuna let loose shakily and guide the wind she form to flow in the same path as the wind.
The shaking gradually stop as Yuna continue to float in the air, her tense nerve gradually relax and slowly, Yuna get the feel of going with the wind. She drift aimlessly in the air and enjoy the sensation of 'flying'(floating) immensely.
"I should practice this everyday"
Yuna said spiritedly, the feeling of flying albeit not very good is so exhilarating.
It was Saturday so there is no class and Yuna used the chance to go in an open space and practice wind.
After practicing for a long while, Yuna cease her activities and settle herself down on the ground.
"I'm hungry...as if"
Yuna purse her lips, her mood complicated.
As her master left and a week passed, Yuna horrifyingly found about the new changes on her body.
She has lost or maybe it will not be wrong to say that her sense of hunger is gone. To make matter worse, whenever she consume food, an hour or later, she will uncontrollably vomit blood as if vomiting out all the food she ate.
After careful observation, Yuna make notes on the changes in her body.
The first changes as said before is
• Lose of sense of hunger
Her body which is full of element such that even her blood stream contains abundant of element is extremely pure, the element she absorbs fills her body with energy and fills in on all the insufficient nutrients her body might lack.
It was like those cultivators who after a certain level could fast and no longer need to consume food like mortal.
The daily food seems to be more like an impurity her body refuse to consume after her body upgrade.
The second change is
• No need to poop or pee
She lost even the basic of human ability to excrement.
Not lost, but more like no longer needed to poop or pee. If she consumes food, it will not turn into nutrients that she need and the rest turning into poop or urine, it was dismantled in just an hour and turn into excess dirty blood.
What's the fucking used of her intestine then, right????
It doesn't matter that she no longer need to poop or pee because it was so annoying when her body and bile protest, not to mention its' stinky and disgusting. The thing that vexed Yuna is that she could no longer get a taste of delicious gourmet!
At night, Yuna used to lie under the blanket and shed silent tears. (个_个)
The third change however, Yuna does not have much to say.
Her appearance in another world can be said to be pretty. Although a transmigrator, she does not have the otherworldly, loved by goddess of beauty type of face where even a single glance could make a person stunt and let them not be able to withdraw their gaze.
Yuna appearance is just one of the pretty girls which she is thankful for because too good looking means that she is likely to be an important character or worse yet, a main character.

Who doesn't want to be beautiful? Her appearance is 90% identical to her original appearance, black eyes, black hair and not too much of a beautiful girl; Just decent.
Thankfully, she has a type of pretty face although without careful looking, people will not know that she is not that bad looking. In other word, she can blend in with the masses.
The only thing is…..
Yuna look down at her skin colour.
It was pale…not just pale but extremely pale such that Yuna even suspect whether it was powdered. She could even see the blue veins clearly, her skin almost transparent.
Her extremely pale face along with her dark hair and her black eyes, Yuna wonder whether she is a ghost or a Chinese zombie.
Forget about blend in, this time, if a person look at her they will be stunt not because of beauty but because of her appearance that look like a ghost!
Sighing deeply, Yuna walk back towards her house.
She got it, she is an unloved bystander.
