I got a call from Mia, when I picked up she said

"Lia I'm at Adam's house, don't worry about me, I have to talk to him about something"

"But he isn't at home, right?" I asked.

"I know, I'll wait," She said and hung up. I called Joe and told him everything so that he stopped searching for her... I called Adam and he said he is on the way to their home, but I didn't tell him about Mia.

-Adam's POV

I and aunt reached home. parked the car in the garage and we went in, when we entered the house, I saw Mia sitting on the couch in the hall while typing something on her phone.

"Oh hello, aunt" Mia said, standing from the couch while coming towards us. My aunt smiled and they both hugged. I don't like Mia's behavior, what on earth is she doing here?

Then aunt sat on the couch while I and Mia sat with her. We were talking about some random things when aunt spoke up

"How is your GIRLFRIEND, Adam?" she said while looking at Mia.

"Ah, aunty it's..like..that she..she left..us," I said with an expressionless face while internally I was feeling as if someone was stabbing me with an invisible knife in my heart.

"OH, my dear child, You have suffered a lot. First your parents and then Isa, you must be alone, Adam" she aid while patting my back.

"Aunty he is not alone, I am with him," Mia said with a warm smile on her face.

"Yeah, you are right, but Adam used to like Isa a lot," she said while looking back at me while I just looked down.

" Aunty, I think Adam didn't tell you about us," she said in an arrogant tone.

"No matter what is your relationship with him. Still, he can't love anyone more than Isa" she said while I can clearly tell Mia's blood was boiling in anger.

"It's not like, he-" she was about to say something when I got up and went towards my room while both of them were looking at me. As I entered the room, my phone rang, it was from dad's secretary.

"Hello?"

"Sir, it's been a long time since your dad died, WEQI GROUP requires a CEO. I want you to come here and manage your parents' business," she said.

"But, I'm not interested in managing my parent's business," I replied in a cold tone.

"But sir, you can't just ruin it like this, Don't you want to be rich like your parents were," she said.

"And what will I do with that money, huh? Bring it to my grave with me, as my parents did?" I replied.

"Sir you can buy gifts for your friends and girlfriend."

"I don't have any girlfriend." I coldly said and hung up.

I sat in bed while looking at myself in the mirror when my door knocked.

"Please don't come in, I don't want to talk to anyone," I said while looking down on the floor.

Then I stood up and took a shower when I went out, I wore my grey T-shirt and black jeans and then looked at my reflection in the mirror, the water was dropping from my hair drop by drop, I took a towel and dry my hair, don't bother to use dryer.

When I'd done drying my hair, again looked at myself. Damn, I was looking so handsome, I smiled at myself. Then came outside to my room, and looked at Isa's picture.

"Look sweetheart, your boyfriend is looking so cool😎"

"It's true taking a shower not only removes dirt but also sorrows. I called Jianjian (dad's secretary)

"I'm ready to manage my parent's business, I'll be there tomorrow," I said and hung up, while coming down from my room I saw Mia was still sitting on the sofa while folding her hand and maybe waiting for me as she saw e coming down from stairs she immediately ran towards me.

"Adam, why didn't you tell your aunt about me? if you don't want to be with me just leave me already." she was shouting at me while I was just staring at him and smiling.

"Am I a joker why are you smiling?"

"Just watching that how fortunate I am to get a cute girlfriend like you," I said while folding my hands on my chest.

"Stop buttering" she replied in an arrogant tone.

"Okay sweetheart, you can go and tell her," I said.

"hey let's go together, she said while holding my shoulder.

"Nah, I have some business to do," I said while removing her hand from my shoulder.

"hey stop lying, what business could you have"

"Babe, your boyfriend is going for some important business, just wait for me, and I'll bring a cute gift for my cute girlfriend," I said and was about to go when she called me

"Adam!!"

"Hmm?" I said while looking back at her.

"It's like, could you please drop me at Jasmine's house?"

"Jasmine? why she? I can drop you at Lia's house" I said not knowing why didn't she want me to bring her to Lia's house.

"She will not let me enter her house," she said while looking down.

"why?" I said while coming towards her.

"It's like.. she..umm...we had a fight last night," she said.

"Gosh~ I can't understand these girls, sometime you quarrel then make peace," I said and again went outside.

"And one more thing," I said while stopping and looking back at her

"I will not take you to Jasmine's house, because I don't know whether you are safe with her or not" and went outside without listening to her reply.

I drove the car towards WEQI GROUP company, and entered the company, I saw everyone was busy in doing their stuff. Though it was my dad's business I came there only two to three times since I was born.

I was just judging everything and everyone as no one knows who I am, then Jianjian from a side cam towards me.

"Sir, aren't you supposed to come tomorrow?" she said while set her opened golden hairs.

"Why? did I need your permission to com here?" I said and start walking while she started walking with me

"No sir, it's like-" she was about to say something when I spoke up

"Just tell me about the business," I said and went towards the cafeteria.

"Ah, sir don't yu want to be in your office, like you are the CEO, you shouldn't be here."

"Why? am I forbidden to sit here?" I said in an arrogant tone.

"Sorry, sir," she said while sitting down and talking about business. She was a young lady who was wearing a short skirt and black high heels. Her long golden hair was open and she kept on adjusting her hair while talking to me, which was irritating me.

"Tell me one thing, Jianjian, are you in the office or in a bar," I said with an angry face.

"W..why sir?" she asked as if she knows nothing.

"Look, there are some rules, if you don't want to be fired you have to follow them," I said while standing from my seat, while she also stood up and nodded

RULE # 01: You are not allowed to wear any skirt during office time.

RULE # 02: Tie your hairs in a pony, I don't like your opened hairs.

Rule # 03: The time you waste on doing this makeup spent that time on work.

" Do you have any objection?" I asked.

"Ah sir, actually I just wanna ask, don't you like me like this," she said while I just wondered about her statement.

"And why am I supposed to like you," I said while folding my hands on my chest.

"But your father used to like me in this" she mumbled.

"'I've heard that," I said.

"Sir, can I only wear makeup," she said while looking down.

"And for whom you wanna do this?" I said while she remained quiet.

"I will follow all the rules, sir," she said and left. I went towards my dad's office which was now my office.

As I entered the office it was a large and splendid room with a lot of expensive decoration stuff. I went in and sat on the chair which was too comfortable, on the table in front of the chair there was an Eiffle tower made of steel and a...a car, a car made of plastic with a minion in it.

I picked that car in disbelief. This was the car that I gave him, why is it still here? did he really love- but what's the use of loving my stuff, he should love me too. I get out of my thoughts when Jianjian knocks on my door. she was wearing a suit with a pony tail.

"Where were you, shouldn't you be here with me," I said.

"Ah yes sir, you are right, I just went home because you don't like me in that way" she said.

"I don't like you even now" I coldly replied.

- -AT NIGHT

I was still in my office trying to know everything about the business, not knowing what is happening in the world around me. I looked at the time, it was 10 PM. I was about to get up when the door opened revealing Jianjian with two coffee in her hand, she warmly smiled at me.

"You must be tired, sir," she said while entered in the office.

"let's have some coffee, sir." she sad while coming to me while I stood up and said,

"Who allowed you to talk to me frankly, huh?" I said as I was already tired and now she was getting on my nerve.

"And one more thing, RULE # 04: you are not allowed to come close to me, especially when I am alone," I said and went outside.

When I reached home, I saw Mia sitting on the couch while waiting for me.

"Where were you? You know I was really worried for you," she said while coming to me with teary eyes and hugging me.

"Baby, why are you crying, look I'm here, no need to worry, hmm?"I said while gradually breaking the hug, while she just smiled at me.

"Am too hungry, babe. Let's eat something"

"Go and take a shower, I'll serve the food," she said while I kissed her forehead and went upstairs.
