Lia's POV

We had our lunch at Adam's house then I and Mia went towards my house as Adam was supposed to go to the airport to pick up his aunt. We entered the house. My mom dad and my brother were having lunch.

Mia: Hello aunt.

Mom: Hello child, how are you doing? come and have lunch.

Mia: No aunt, we already had it.

I noticed Mia was tired so I spoke up

Me: Mom, she is sick so I asked her to come and live with me for a few days as her mother is also out of town. I make lame excuses as I don't want her to feel embarrassed due to her mother.

As we entered the room I went towards the washroom to take a shower while Mia released herself to bed. As I took a shower, I came out and saw Mia was already sleeping, so I turned the lights off and went outside the room. I went out of my house for a walk.

-At night

I was sitting in bed while reading a novel and Mia was looking outside from the window with a serious face, no matter how I tried to talk to her she wasn't responding to any of my words.

"Mia, I think you should come and sleep, it's late," I said to her but she just looked at me then again towards the window. I got up from the bed and went toward her

"What is happening Mia?" I asked.

"Lia, guess I died, what will you do if I died? You can't do anything to save me once I died. Think, If you heard from someone that your friend Mia has died, you can't do anything but feel hopeless" she yelled while tears started flowing out of her eyes.

"Why are you saying this?" I immediately hugged her while tears were continuously flowing out of my eyes, "do you have any idea how I overcome Isa's death, how I make myself understand that everyone has to go, and now...now you are saying things like this?".

She just kept on crying heavily. "Look Mia, if someone is teasing you, you can surely tell me. I swear I'll help you no matter what" I again asked her, I don't want her to hide anything from me.

"Lia I think someone is trying to kill me," she said while breaking the hug.

"Who...who Isa? who is trying to kill you? tell me" I don't want to lose her too so I immediately asked.

"I don't know, I just-" she just kept on crying and can't even talk properly. I let her cry for a moment and pat her back. After a while, she stood up and went towards the bed,

"we'll talk tomorrow if I survived," she said with a sad smile, while I just thnking what is happening now.

I went towards the bed and lay down. First I thought of calling Joe and telling him everything but it's late and inconvenient. I didn't talk to Mia about anything but she herself spoke,

"Lia you know what never ever in my life did I like Isa. I used to hate her" I wasn't shocked at all after hearing her words as I already knew it, she kept on talking

"But when she died, I feel like I am alone, there's no one with me, I...I can't do anything to bring her back to the world when she committed suicide, we had a little fight a day ago and we both weren't talking to each other, I just sink into my ego. And now...now no matter what I do, I can't bring her back, I can't apologize to her I can't even talk to her" she again started crying.

I turned towards her and wipe her tears. "All she needs now is your prayers, don't cry your tears are hurting her" I tried my best to console her.

I don't know when I fall asleep. I woke up because I felt like something was moving beside me, I opened my eyes, turned the lamp on, and looked at the time, it was already 3:15 AM.

I accidentally caught sight of my bedside and saw Mia wasn't there. I suddenly became paralyzed, while slowly getting up from my bed I walked towards the washroom and to my wonder the door was opened.

I didn't understand anything at first everything she said last night was just blowing in my head. I relaxed took a deep breath and started searching the whole house but she was not anywhere.

I ran towards the roof then. As I went onto the roof I saw Mia standing on the wall while looking upward. She was about to jump from the rooftop when I shouted

"Mia!!!!!!" She didn't listen to me and was about to jump when I hold her from behind causing her to fall down to the ground.

"Are you in your senses???" I shouted, held her shoulder, and dragged her into the room.

???: You really think you can die so easily😏)

"What do you think you were doing?" I asked her "Mia, once you died you can never come back. The people who died at early ages are the most unfortunate ones, you have got a chance to live your life and this is how you are living it. Just enjoy life." I tried my best to stop her from doing such things again.

She didn't respond and went towards the bed, lay down, and maybe sleep. I picked up my phone to call Joe but when looked at the time it was 4 AM, so I didn't call him.

I lay down on the sofa while still thinking about her and don't know when to fall asleep. In the morning I woke up and saw Mia combing her hair in front of the mirror. I get up and looked at her while she gave me a warm smile but I ignored her and went towards the washroom.

When I went out, I don't find her, maybe she will be in the kitchen.

*phone rang*

"Hello?" I saw the caller id and it was Joe so I spoke up.

"Lia, you okay?" he asked.

"Yeah, of course, I am, what will happen to me?" I don't know why he was asking me that kind of question.

"It's because Mia was with you so I checked if you are doing okay, well it's okay if you are okay." He hung up.

I didn't tell him anything about last night as I don't want Mia to fall into their eyes. I went out of my room and didn't find Mia anywhere. When I asked mom, she said that Mia went outside the house. I immediately took my car's keys. phone and went outside.

As it was winter, it was so cold everywhere. There was no one on the roads but the fog and it was hard to look at the houses due to heavy fog. There were piles of snow on the pavement. Snow was covered over the house's roof and cars.

I was looking everywhere for her but I didn't find her, so I called Joe and told him the whole story and 'he said that he and Adam will go and find her and asked me to go home.

I also want to help them but they think I'm still a baby who knows nothing but to eat chocolate.🙄 I went towards my house and then into my room.

I was just memorizing Mia's words she said last night when my phone rang.

As I saw the caller ID, it was Mia.
