Chapter 8- His time away - Part 6
To my surprise, the entire street block was empty, and as soon as she left, people began to pour in, going about their day.
With not much else to take my time, I open the letter and see it's addressed to Cliff, and he has a note lasting three pages, covering the training and a close overview of Articius and the findings.
"They strongly suspect he has a demon inside him, but they haven't determined whether Articius is aware of it or the extent of its effects. Once his training is finished, they plan to take action within the next day or so.
The letter ends with a cautionary statement: "If you don't hear from us, expect the worst, and inform the king if necessary."
As I crumple the letter, I take a deep breath, hoping for the best, and begin to wonder if something I did might be responsible for this situation. Should I have noticed something earlier? I ask myself.
