Shortly after your third Birthday while you were enjoying the Sun in one of the Rock's many Courtyards you get an eerie feeling, something wasn't right, and it doesn't take you long to find out what it is. The Lion you made for your Father has moved, and that quite a bit, which on its own wouldn't really interest you seeing as this particular Cub is long-overdue for the beginning of its Journey towards King's Landing, but the problem with that would be that you can feel where it's moving to.
For some reason, the Statue you made for your Father is now moving towards you, and it doesn't stop at the usual Guard-posts either, which makes you quite a bit more happy than it probably should. Yet you can't help but get a bit excited about the Thought you had, mayhaps it's indeed time to finally see your Father again. Yes, that would be great, but is it really your Father, and if it is him, why in the World did it take so long for him to come back Home?
You didn't hear of any problem severe enough to keep your Father in the Capital for so long, but you're sure that if there was indeed something so major that even a Lord such as him couldn't leave, that parading the problem around for everyone to see would hardly be permissible. Maybe it's something as simple as a new Civil-war being seen on the Horizon, though then again, no one in the Rock seems worried about a War breaking out. So perhaps it's something more complicated but also more conventional like a new Tax or Regulation, yes, you think that would explain quite well why your Father wouldn't leave the Capital no matter what.
While thinking about your Father's reasoning you decide to remain seated and wait for him on one of the Stone benches, so that you can enjoy the Sun a bit more while he's coming to the Courtyard, it's after all not like a few more Minutes of waiting will mean the end of the World. Thus, you can feel the Cub directly in front of you just a few Minutes later, and so you open your Eyes to see your Father nudging your Face with one of its Paws.
He seems to be quite happy, in Fact, he seems a good bit too happy, so much so that you're actually a bit worried about him, it's kind of hard to even compare him to his usually so Stoic self. Though, after a few more moments of defending your Face, you decide that he must have simply missed you, it's been over a Year since he was Home the last time after all. So with that in Mind, loosening up a bit around one's Family doesn't actually seem all that outrageous or surprising to you, though it certainly isn't something you could have imagined your Father ever doing.
Well, at least you got a Gift out of your Father when he finally gave up on his assault on your Face, it was of course a terrible Gift for a Child your Age, but it's the Thought that counts or so you tell yourself, though you could still gain some use for a Book detailing the Animal-kingdom of this World. All in all, it's not too bad of a reunion, even though you're sure that your Father had some Thoughts of his own when he was selecting your Gift.
You thought that you would have to answer a lot of Questions as soon as your Father is back in the Rock, but he seems content with whatever your Mother has already told him, though what it is she knows is quite a bit beyond you, but then again you certainly aren't about to breach the Topic yourself, so that's that you guess. But even so, it isn't all that important to you anymore, seeing as you can endure a bit more attention and strain for the rest of the Day just fine, as long as you have your Chamber to retreat to when the Night falls.
You do appreciate that your Father isn't bothering you with all that stuff though, and no matter his reasoning you're also happy that he came to you alone, for that certainly helped the two of you a lot, with neither of you enjoying opening up in company and all that. But you two soon make your way towards the rest of the Family, it's easy to forget, but your Family is a rather massive one, and it seems your Father had quite the large Entourage with him in the Capital.
It would seem that the return of so many Lannisters prompted a lavish Feast to be called out, one you could hear long before you could see it, but what a sight it was, even your Grandfather seems a bit more genuine in his happiness Today. You decide to join your Siblings who show off their own Gifts to you, a Dress and a Shield respectively, though both seem to scoff at your Book almost immediately.
You ignore it of course, and instead decide to grab yourself something to eat, the Beef Skewers in particular having taken your interest since before you entered the Hall. And when you return you see that the both of them have begun arguing over who got the greatest Present from your Father, much to your own amusement, for you have already seen that Jaime can hardly lift that Shield of his, and you're quite sure that Cersei actually dislikes Dresses all together, the both of them just refusing to give in.
It all makes for a great Evening, but while you enjoy it a lot, the Book calls for your attention some two Hours in, and you have to admit that you're a bit more than just curious about what kind of Creatures roam this World. So you make your way to your Chamber a bit early to see how long it will take you to learn this new Language, and how much in the way of Details the Book actually has to offer.
