Volume 2 Chapter 6: Answers to Their Questions and the Figure's Appearance and Name
???: "And the three of you can think of me as the dungeon master of this dungeon."
Hearing everything the figure had said, which only raised more questions, Carmilla, this time instead of Pepper, was the one to ask the unknown figure.
Carmilla: "What do you mean when you say you're the same as Eve and Pepper?"
Hearing Carmilla's question and realizing that his/her previous statement was somewhat confusing, the figure began to explain.
???: "I'm the same as them, while also not."
Seeing the bewildered expressions on the faces of the three, the unknown figure continued to explain further.
================================
???: "I'm also a clone, but not the same as them. Your skill is a [Unique Skill] that no one can obtain as long as you're alive. My creator only attempted to replicate how the first user of your [Unique Skill] worked by using magic elements to create a clone. In my case, I was created using blood magic and then imbued with a part of her will, which harmed her. Unlike your [Unique Skill], where you can gain more clones with different personalities and independent thinking just by leveling up, and if I am correct you can only summon a few of those unique clones. The rest are just like normal clones, but they can still attack and take damage, unlike regular clones that will be dispel upon being hit and can't attack."
As the unknown figure explained to the three of them, it provided answers to some of their questions. However, it also raised more questions, such as who the "main" referred to by the unknown figure was, who the original user of the [Clone] skill was, and many more. The figure appeared to be a friendly NPC rather than an enemy.
So Carmilla dispelled the blood magic, and Pepper and Eve both noticed her doing so.
So they also followed suit and simultaneously dispelled their own blood magic.
Carmilla expressed her gratitude, by saying.
Carmilla: "Thank you for answering our questions thus far."
???: "No worries; that's practically my job as the dungeon master of this dungeon, after all."
Carmilla inquired.
Carmilla: "By the way, you're talking about a dungeon master the whole time. What is a dungeon master?"
???: "You can think of it as someone who creates and controls a dungeon, either by initially creating it or by gaining control through some means, perhaps the ownership of the dungeon was bestowed by the dungeon's original creator."
The unknown being paused briefly, giving the three of them a moment to digest the information that had been provided.
???: "By the way, when I saw you enter this dungeon, I wanted to bring you here without you having to go through all those trials back there. However, I'm not the one who personally created this dungeon, so I can't break the rules established by the dungeon's creator, who happens to be my main."
Even though the figure spoke patiently to the three of them, they couldn't help but feel deeply disturbed each time the figure talked. The voice sounded like a mix of both male and female, and it alternated between young and old, with different combinations that changed every time, creating an unsettling atmosphere.
Carmilla: "Umm"
Carmilla hesitated for a moment, contemplating how to express her concern about the unsettling voice of the unknown figure. She was concerned that being too direct might come across as rude, and she worried that it could provoke an aggressive response from the figure.
Sensing Carmilla's hesitation, the unknown figure spoke.
???: "What's on your mind, my dear? Don't worry, I won't bite, so don't be shy."
Hearing the gentle tone behind the disturbing voice of the unknown figure, Carmilla felt more encouraged to express her hesitation.
Carmilla mustered the courage to ask.
Carmilla: "Can you please tell us your name, and could you refrain from using that unsettling voice? It's quite disturbing."
???: "I apologize for the discomfort. Let me remove the cause of it."
After speaking, the unknown figure reached out to remove the mask that concealed their entire face.
As the mask was taken off, a girl with long black hair and captivating red eyes was revealed, showcasing her beautiful and enchanting face.
Her facial features exude a sense of elegance and charm. Starting with her mesmerizing red eyes, they are vibrant and piercing, capturing attention with their intensity.
Moving on to her long black hair, it cascades down gracefully, framing her face in a captivating manner.
Additionally, her face have a fair and flawless complexion, enhancing her overall beauty. Her skin could be depicted with a natural, healthy glow that adds to her charm.
Furthermore, her eyebrows might be thin and perfectly arched, adding a touch of sophistication to her appearance. Her eyes can be further described with long, fluttery lashes that enhance the overall allure of her gaze.
Her lips could be depicted as soft and rosy, with a natural-looking shape that might enhance her playful or serious expressions. The shape of her nose could range from delicate and petite to slightly pronounced, complementing her overall facial structure.
Carmilla was left in awe, her eyes wide with astonishment as she beheld a face that seemed straight out of an anime, a beauty so surreal it felt unreal. Ironically, this was indeed the case, as they were all characters in a game.
???: "Oh, I nearly forgot! Welcome to the [Progenitor's Castle], and you can call me 'Tria'."
After removing the mask her voice can be described as melodic and enchanting, with a hint of warmth and sweetness that draws people in. It carries a gentle and soothing tone, making it pleasant to listen to. When she speaks, her voice is soft and feminine, yet possesses a level of confidence and clarity that commands attention.
Upon hearing Tria's words, a blue square panel appeared in front of Carmilla, informing her that she had successfully completed a hidden quest named [Secrets of the Cave].
[Ding! You have completed the hidden quest [Secrets of the Cave].]
After a brief pause, another panel appeared in front of her, replacing the previous one.
[Ding! You have received a chain quest [Vampire Progenitor's Inheritance 1/?].]
Carmilla, observing the quests that had appeared after Tria's introduction, grew suspicious that a battle might be on the horizon. For now, she chose to disregard the quests and directed her question to Tria.
Carmilla: "Are we going to have to fight?"
Tria responded.
Tria: "No, of course not. Why would you think that?"
