-Adrian's Time Remaining: 3 Hours-
Usagi is kicking the dirt as she's pacing back and forth as the both men are laying on the ground, seeming to be safe from anything so far. Cursing in Japanese.
"What are your names?" Adrian asked. "I've been on the Seventh Island for 11 hours since leaving the Safe Zone, and I don't even know you two. The only person I had know from this island, I ended up killing him on the literal couple of minutes out of the Safe Zone. And that was out of personal vendetta."
Sitting up then offer a handshake to both of them to introduced themselves; Adrian Freebird; Jaxson King; and Okada Usagi.
"You're name is Okada? That's an odd name for a girl." Adrian comments.
"That's the family name. Out in the East, our surnames goes first, then our given name." Usagi explains it to him.
"Ah, so I should call you Usagi then?" Jaxson asks.
"Well it's a lot better than being called Okada-san or Okada-chan, which I hate by the way." Usagi smiles.
Adrian head pops up. He turned to Usagi on asking a question he wanted to know. "I just remember about that, why do the Japanese friends tend to go by last names? Don't you all go by given names? We do that a lot, but only say our family names out of spite or hate to one another."
"You need to be given permission. It would be rude if you call someone given name, plus surreal if you're not a family member." Usagi is cracking her neck.
"Then I guess I've been a rude person to the Japanese branch of the ALA. I didn't bother on asking since we just ended up calling them Mister or Miss to conduct business." Adrian lays back down.
Usagi looks at Adrian as if she does remember about the ALA branch of Japan, then shrugs it off.
"And yet, you're still rude due to your shoot first, and ask questions never." Usagi leap up to the tree branch to kill the time as she's laying on it. "But I had always wanted to ask you about something, since you're an Indian and a black guy. Do you two live in hard lives?"
"Me, and my wife live in Brooklyn at the time. When we had our girl, I was hoping to move away from the streets of New York to Connecticut. Living in the streets, is nothing new and might be a simple story of struggle but it is real. The mental scars that it leaves. To those outside, it may sound the winds of horror but to people like me, it's basically just another sound that we choice to ignore or act to it. It's not the matter of if, it's more of matter of when that day comes. My worst fears came to life when that day finally came if I can't escape out of it."
"Did you escape it after they had died?" Usagi asks.
"I didn't care about moving after that. All I did was live on, but I had turn that hatred towards the person who killed them. I wasn't send to jail for murder, but it was for attempted. My fraudery records on the other hand had landed me in the Eighth Prison instead."
"It's not that too different from my situation. I may had been an orphan, but living on an Indian Reservation, it's quite... miserable." Adrian sympathize with Jaxson. "You either be living in a woods or an open dried up fields. I had been told that there's no life in the Reserve, and there's truth about that. I only work for $2 per hour, and with a high school certificate, I don't have many choices in life. Only a limited choice among limited choices."
"I thought Indians get welfare checks monthly?" Usagi is curious.
Jaxson chuckled. "Only around $500 a month if you're single."
Adrian turns to him.
"I had look it up on how the Indians can get money from the government. Turns out it's only pocket change, and not many can move out into a white man's town in order to pay real bills with it."
"Pretty much true. I used to live in an apartment for one month before being caught but like a parasite, I rely on my partner far more than my own free will."
Usagi seems to understand what he's trying to say then comments on it. "So you're like me." She leans onto her side with a snarky look which Adrian doesn't find it amusing. "We both use people to get what we wanted and then finally toss them aside in order to find something better or at least something worth settling down with."
"Not quite." Adrian continues to lay as he's about to reply. "I'm actually more happier that she found someone better, even had a kid with."
Jaxson smiles at him. "And why's that?"
"Because I carry a guilt with me when it comes to other races dating an Indian." Adrian then twirl his tomahawk.
"Oh, come on." Jaxson soft chuckle and a playful tone. "Why be guilty about that? If a person likes you, then they like you."
"Not to a life in a Reserve. Such misery." Adrian sat up then lean forward to hold his knees.
"Well at least a boring life is much better than a ghetto life." Jaxson comments.
Usagi sympathize with them. "Well, women or to those who identify as women, are complicated at times. Like I can respect a working women, even when they have to bite and claw their way out of the gutter."
"Then you would be wonderful at being a hoe." Jaxson laughs at her.
"I've seen crap like that before. I never would had never go for that kind of work, but if it does keep me surviving for another week, then I guess I'll take it." Usagi doesn't seem to mind the possibility of the idea.
"Wasn't there a famous case around a homeless women in Japan that had a miscarriage, and she was doing drugs?" Adrian was curious of a internet infamous story.
"That's a sad story." Usagi realize what he's talking about.
"I've seen my fair shares of miscarriages, and it does seem to follow with that story." Jaxson comments with his experience. "But the drugs might be a bit too far, unless they're really went downhill of despair."
"She kill herself from it." Usagi said. "It's supposed to be an urban fairy tale about self conscious."
"I see." Adrian nods. "What about you, Jaxson?"
"About what?" He closes his eyes as he's looking up to the sky to see the stars coming out.
"Have any urban fairy tales?"
"Not really. Just horror stories of the streets."
"That's how it all started with her." Usagi said. "Just another horror story from the streets that took the innocent school girl away from her purpose."
Adrian then shrugs. "That sounds about right. I bet someone in the Third Prison could had cause it." He's looking up to the skies then remembered a story. "I got a story."
Usagi leaps off of her tree branch then rolled to her stomach and looking up at Adrian as a little kid waiting to listen to a story.
"It's a story about a Faun that manage to break into a school but nobody doesn't know if it was based from the actual old myths of the Faun or an Anima pulling a prank. It's such a mystery, nobody to this day still can't figure out on what happen, and it didn't steal anything. So it broke in and stole nothing. Didn't even mess up the school. It just broke in and did nothing."
"Where did to break into? Like from what part of the school?" Usagi happily curious about it.
"From the front door."
Jaxson spoke up. "Oh, it's totally an Anima. I know how these use to go. I broke into schools myself when I have two ears."
"What?!" Usagi pops up. "It's gotta be some kind of mythical creature. What would you break into a school for no reason? Only an animal or something that doesn't care on breaking into a school. Did you steal something from your school?"
Jaxson looks at her. "Yes. It's just to say; screw the rules. Because we have our rebellous phase. I'll get in trouble, but it's more of the thrill of it. Nothing more, nothing less. Unless you have a bitter grudge with a teacher." He started to laugh. "And there were a few that did that."
Adrian was wondering as he's looking up onto Jaxson missing cat ears, "Jaxson, what happen to your Feline ears?"
Jaxson turns to him. "That's a different story." He stood up then start preparing. "Time to move onto one of the Safe Zones. Lord knows that we had travel far from our beginning point."
"Yeah..." Adrian slightly agrees.
They open up a map to see their Safe Zone locations; beach resort; the mountain resort; and a forest resort.
