Chapter 49: The Vampire Hunter

The sun has began to rise, spreading its radiant light as it blossoms its rays. It's a sign that the night has ended, so is their nightmare. It's also a sign of hope, an assurance that they'll never encounter those hideous monsters once again. At least for another 12 hours.

As the light slowly touched everything under it, the townspeople were still waiting from the same spot where they last saw the lad. They are waiting, hoping they'll see life that'll bring good news.

And from the woods, a figure walking towards their direction looms vividly, trudging its feet while carrying someone's body on its back.

"Over there!" One man pointed.

Isaac and the others turned and saw the lad carrying the priest's body.

"Stephen!" Isaac ran towards them and was surprised seeing the priest's body now has turned to gray.

"Please... give him a proper burial..." The lad mumbled before he fell to the ground and lost his consciousness.
