Embarrassed Remnant

Weiss groaned as she buried her head into her pillow in Team RWBY's dorm room. She wanted nothing more than to find the deepest darkest hole she could find and hide there forever. Ruby tried to cheer her teammate up.

" Come on, Weiss, it's not that bad. I mean, stuff just happens, you know."

" But, but, you saw, and where, and Silva."

The snow princess sputtered with an intense blush adorning her face, and the little cookie monster looked to the rest of her team for backup. Yang tried to help.

" Weiss, Ruby's right things just happen. It's not a big deal. What's important is that you are alright."

" We are here for you."

Blake added, and while Weiss was starting to feel relieved, Ruby then asked innocently.

" Plus, we got to know you better! Oh, speaking of which, what's a sex dungeon, and why do you have one in your head?"

The snow princess just felt like crying now out of pure embarrassment, and the blonde facepalmed at her sister's bluntness, while the ninja catgirl just shook her head in disappointment.

Shion Zaiden was in Ozpin's office giving their report.

" So far, three out of the four Nightmare I senses have been dealt with, and that only leaves one left."

" I see. Any clues as to when the next Nightmare will manifest?"

" It should be soon, considering how the most recent case with Ms.Schnee happened with her potential."

The old wizard frowned as he speculated.

" Hmm... There aren't that many as talented as Ms.Schnee this year, but if I had to name one, then there is only him. However, considering he dived twice into Ms. Nikos and Schnee's dreams, he should not be possessed by a nightmare, correct?"

" Not necessarily; Silva Branwen has shown to be a highly robust person, along with high amounts of Aura and some level of sensitivity, making him a prime candidate. It would not be too surprising if he were possessed by an older Nightmare that was hiding itself deeply within him, waiting for the perfect time to strike."

Ozpin narrowed his eyes at the explanation and asked.

" Shion Zaiden, in your experience as a Nightmare Hunter, just how dangerous is an older, more experienced Nightmare?"

" It depends on the age, but I have run across some very old Nightmares that, more often than not, are guaranteed to kill their host and become even stronger. I have only run into a small handful of Nightmares that can be considered ancient, and their mastery over dreams is far beyond other Nightmares."

The old wizard looked at the Nightmare Hunter with furrowed brows as his concern grew and said solemnly.

" Hopefully, my guess is wrong on who the next victim will be."

I looked at the Nightmare I had contained in a jar of my own as I put the final touches on it through magic. Salem's memories of modifying Grimm are coming in handy I took out the Nightmare, and it was docile until I gave it the command to possess me through magic. I did not even feel it entering my body which was hardly surprising considering what I have learned about them so far. I had it go to work on creating my dreamscape to give everyone a wild ride in the next couple of weeks.

For now, I will enjoy skipping classes and working on my projects to kill time. I focused on my Smart Projectile project as it still needs some ironing out. As I worked, I got a text message from Glynda, of all people. I guess it was only a matter of time until she got on my case for skipping classes. I looked at the text message, and it was a direct order to enter the vice-head mistress's office. I set aside my tools and went back to Beacon to face the music, not that I really cared.

I would pass my classes regardless of my attendance, thanks to studying ahead and Soul Archive, but obviously, the professors don't see it that way. I soon found myself at Glynda's office and knocked on the door. I heard her say curtly.

" Enter."

The strict professor had mountains of paperwork on her desk, and I was starting to feel a bit bad for her since I added more work to her clearly full plate with my skipping classes. She went through the paperwork with practiced ease as I waited for her to speak. Glynda stopped for a moment to rub her shoulders and directed a pointed look at me before asking.

" Why are you here, Mr.Branwen?"

I felt like making a joke, but I quickly squashed that impulse as I could see that things were already hard enough on the strict professor, so I asked in a serious tone.

" In what context, Glynda?"

" What made you decide to attend Beacon?"

I decided to go with a truth.

" You are aware of my circumstances, correct? Specifically, my origins."

" Yes."

" I may have a lot of things and experienced a lot, but the one thing I lack most is interacting with my own age group outside of my extended family and in a normal day-to-day setting. So I am attending Beacon I to better adjust to... Civilized society."

Glynda looked at me with mild surprise and said.

" I see. However, skipping classes will not be tolerated, regardless of your reasons."

" Even if I have studied in advance to the point of knowing all four years' worth of Beacon's curriculum?"

I asked back seriously, and the strict professor looked at me with surprise again, then asked back.

" Have you now?"

" Yes."

She considered my words for a few moments before deciding.

" It's still no excuse, so I will be expecting you in the evening after classes from now on for detention in my office until I say otherwise."

" Understood."

I replied, and Glynda dismissed me. I wonder what she will have me be doing for detention. I shrugged as it did not matter as I would probably keep on skipping classes regardless, but I would make a robot assistant for the strict professor to help her out and lighten her workload since I still felt a bit guilty for giving her more work. I'll need to come up with an... Appropriate design with sophisticated artificial intelligence to grade papers and handle the logistics of managing a Huntsmen Academy, plus maybe outfit it with the ability to serve Glynda's preferred beverage.

My mind ran at what to design for the strict professor to help make her life a bit easier, seeing how Ozpin was likely dumping his work on her so he could focus on his shadow war, which now no longer exists. Thinking about Salem, I will check on Raven and Salem during the two-week break after the mid-terms.
