Chapter 94: Twilight

As Arthur and Dorothy were about to head back to their room they noticed the moon being consumed by Darkness..

"What's going on?." Dorothy wondered as she looked up.

"The moon's being.. covered by something.."

Meanwhile at the gym where the party was being held the first to noticed it were the Student Council.

"There weren't any news of an eclipse today.. what's going on here." Alex uttered.

Atalante and the other heroes were astonished to see what was going on, Gray's phone was beeping loudly and repeatedly but because he was asleep he couldn't notice it.

"This is bad!! Girl come close to me!!." The Dragon yelled.

As her Father then simply pushed her and Anna towards the sword, she doesn't know what was going on all she knew was that she was told to come close to it.

The Moon was fully consumed as the entire area of the school was dark the six people from a far let out a smile on their faces.

The Darkness fell unto the entire school and surrounded it like a barrier, the Kingdom was safe it was just the school that was enveloped by Darkness.

Afterwards a few Heroes and students were left standing, some were unconscious while some were being taken out by their intruders.

"What are we going to do Sanity?." Sight asked.

"Just take the ones we were tasked with and leave without being spotted." Sanity replied.

In the room both Anna and Louise were shocked to see their Father on the floor unconscious, It was full darkness, they wouldn't have seen a thing if they didn't reach the sword's range.. it gave off a light that made them see clearly of the surroundings.

"Now don't go far from my range otherwise you'd be unconscious like them too." The Dragon said.

"What's going on!?." Louise asked.

"It seems someone activated the spell Twilight.. it takes a lot of mana to pull that off.. at least only a Master and a Servant could pull it off.." The Dragon replied.

"We need to find Mama and Papa!!." Anna said.

"Don't worry girl, I'm sure your Mama and Papa are just fine.. spells like this doesn't really affect them that much."

"What about the others?." Louise asked.

"Those with little mana get affected the most those with huge amounts of mana aren't affected by this so no problem."

"Then why did my Father!?."

"He deflected Dorothy's Ruler attacks with everything he had, almost depleting his mana in a matter of seconds.. taking on a Ruler class with just a swordsman skill is suicide but thanks to his experiences as a swordsman he managed to conserve his mana.. but at the end with those two strikes he almost completely depleted his mana.. don't worry he'll be fine when the spell is over.."

The students that were fine were Carla, Saya, Patrisha, Anastasia, Gray (who was still asleep), and May (In Zack's Tablet) the others were all knocked out unconscious by the spell.

"What's going on here!?." Carla reacted.

"Master? Master? I don't see her vital readings here.." Saya uttered.

"Raelynn! Hey! wake up!!!." Anastasia said.

As they heard metal clankings getting louder and louder.

"It's coming this way!." Patrisha said.

"Enemy hostiles confirmed!." Saya uttered.

They all readied their weapons while Patrisha simply punches Gray to wake him up.

"WHA-WHAT'S GOING ON!? WHY IS EVERYTHING BLACK? AND WHY ARE WE SHINING?." Gray was confused as he woke up.

"Gray we've got company!." Carla said.

As the gymnasium doors opened It was female woman with her tongue out and a few droids behind her.

"Well looks like I found two lost puppies!."

Her fingers become as sharp as a needle, all ten of her fingers became sharp as she readies her attack, Meanwhile Arthur was kicked from behind and as Dorothy was about to use her Ruler abilities..

[Something's strange.. why can't I..---nghh!?]

She then knocked unconscious and was taken by the enemy.

"I don't need for this brat in our arsenal.. So I'll just kill him myself!."

A twisted smile was on his face, It was Sanity who knocked Dorothy unconscious and kicked Arthur, and since Arthur hasn't fully recovered from his match today he was having a hard time getting up.

"What's wrong boy! feeling down already? by just a kick? pathetic."

[That voice.. it sounds like.. Sanity.] Arthur thought to himself.

And his thoughts were right, Sanity was carrying Dorothy on his back as Arthur was helplessly watching.

Sanity was stopped, something was holding him down and it were clones of a pigtailed girl.

"Hmm?."

The next he knew was that he was then punched by an electrical fist, as he was thrown towards a wall he protected Dorothy from the impact and said,

"I don't want Master killing me for hurting her now.. Tazer huh.. and a girl very annoying." Sanity uttered.

"Arthur are you alright?." Liz asks as she checks up on him.

"Tchh pathetic getting beat up by that guy after beating me!." Tazer said.

[How could these two be unaffected by the spell's effects? is there another effect that we haven't realized?] Sanity thought to himself.

Moments later Sanity leaps on top of the wall saying,

"I already got what I wanted no need to deal with you scum!."

"Hold it Sanity! give Dorothy back!." Arthur said.

He was still trying to get up as Liz helped him.

"No, I don't think I will." He replied.

Sanity then left the field while Arthur was mad at himself.

[I made a promise to protect her.. and I couldn't even do a thing just now... Screw this!!] Arthur thought to himself.

"Tchh Merlin we found the boy.. the girl was taken by Sanity though." Tazer said.

Tazer was talking to Merlin with a communication device.

"We were too late then.. Atalante, Aiden what's the status of the other heroes?." Merlin asked.

"You better give us some explanation Merlin on what's going on!." Atalante said.

Atalante was checking on a student that fell unconscious, while Aiden was wondering why he was glowing.

"Don't worry those who are unconscious are in no danger.. but right now Sanity and the Five pillars are attacking as we speak.. I just received news they got Dorothy." Merlin said.

"What!!?." Atalante reacted.

"I couldn't see this play out and never expected they would strike now.. I'm sorry." Merlin said.

"Save that until we save everyone! All heroes stay calm! I need you to help evacuate the unconscious students! bring them outside the school grounds immediately!."

Atalante said on the communication devices informing the other heroes around the facility, Meanwhile Patrisha dodged a sharp claw while Saya cuts it with her scythe.

"Annoying little pests aren't ya!." Taste yelled.

As she redirected one of her claws to hit Saya, throwing her into the wall.

"Saya!!." Carla yelled out.

Behind Taste were Golems made of Ice as they tried to slam Taste into the ground, unfortunately she noticed them and minced the golems into tiny pieces.

"What? not even my golems could withstand her claws!?." Anastasia said to herself.

Gray was holding unto his cellphone as it beeped even more faster than usual, Carla rushes towards the enemy blasting all the droids in the area.

"These droids are the same ones who attacked the kingdom!?." Carla said.

She then dodges multiple claw attacks hurled at her, She rushes towards her without hesitation and evades her claws with ease and once she fires two rounds it was aiming for her face.

"Crap!!!..... Just kidding!."

She lets out her tongue with a diabolical smile on her face as her tongue itself became sharp and parried the two rounds.

"HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA You think bullets would take me down? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH phew that tasted horrible." Taste said.

Carla was planning on rushing towards her one more time but was then knocked unconscious by a debris thrown at her.

"What the---...."

"Tchhh Touch What the hell are you doing here!?." Taste said.

Anastasia and Patrisha turned their gazes to the newcomer and it was a little girl with wavy long black hair with twin tails tied with red and blue ribbons while the majority hangs loose and has reddish eyes.

"Big Brother Sanity told me to get the girl named Carla.." Touch said.

As Anastasia and Patrisha's eyes widened upon hearing the enemy say their targets.

"Your goal was to get the girl named Saya.. are you done?." Touch asked.

"Tchh I have her right here.." Taste replied.

With the use of her claws she used them to bring the immobilize Saya towards her while Patrisha and Anastasia were suppose to rush towards them a gigantic debris blocked their ways stopping them on their tracks.

"Let's go Taste."

"Ehhh?? but there are still two people left?."

"Big Brother, wants us to leave once we acquired our targets." Touch said.

"Tchhh fine."

As Taste and Touch were about to leave the gymnasium a van arrived and almost ran them over.. unfortunately Touch merely made a ramp for them to miss their shot.

"Leader we missed!!."

"Just follow the signal! it's just up ahead!."

"Finally we're able to see who our boss is once and for all!." Gwyn said.

As the van rammed the gigantic debris Anastasia and Patrisha went out immediately to bring back Saya and Carla who were taken by the enemy.. but they were too late..

The newcomers ran outside the van to find their boss in the area as they relied on the red orb on their bracelets as Frenda immediately leaped towards where their boss is.

"You're---."

"Kidding---."

"----Me right!."

Gwyn, Bones and Kix finally found the identity of their boss as the orbs were growing brighter by the next second.

"This is our boss everyone.." Frenda said.

It was Gray, who was the leader of Gwyn's team.. The other three were shock to see that a boss of a Dark Organization group was being led by a high schooler.

"A-Are you sure about that Frenda?." Gwyn asked.

She nods her head as she shows her red orb full bright red and was about to explode as she placed it near Gray's face.

"THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!!!." They all yelled.

"Now our next task is to help protect the school!." Gray said.

"Yes Master Gray.." Frenda replied.

"MASTER GRAY!?." They all reacted.

While Anastasia and Patrisha were at a loss that the enemy escaped with their tasks completed a van stops right next to them as Gray then says,

"Come on!."

They were about to go on board until they saw another girl snuggling herself unto Gray's arm.. It was Frenda by the way.

"Just come on!."

Meanwhile Atalante, Aiden and Merlin were looking for Dorothy...

"What a perfect opportunity to attack the school while the teachers are away.." Atalante said.

"We need to find Dorothy and fast! if they escape this world.. I'm afraid the effects would spread to the entire kingdom!." Merlin said.

"What?." Aiden reacted.

"The Five pillars's plan is to go to another world and use Dorothy to destroy and take over that world.. since the other world they're trying to go to doesn't have a Ruler and Servant Class they'll be defeated pretty easily."

"I see.. but how on earth are they going to pull that off to be honest?." Atalante asked.

"Well using a spell could be one thing.. a person can travel to another world depending on how much mana that person has.. and since they've taken Dorothy.. they could go to any world they want in this case.."

It was just a possibility he thought of and is unsure whether that tactic would even work.. they could have the means to walk through worlds or something that they're not aware of.

"Then our priorities are rescuing Dorothy then.. what about Arthur?." Atalante asked.

"Did you knew all aong Goddess of the hunt?." Merlin asked.

"Of course.. a teenage boy that has so much mana.. if that's not obvious then I don't know what is.."

"Fair enough.. don't worry my group has secured him and are heading their way to us as we speak."

"Your group?."

Arthur and the others managed to meet up with Louise and Anna as they heading towards Merlin's coordinates..

"Brother!!." Louise yelled.

"Papa!!."

Anna gave him a tight hug while Liz was glad to see Anna safe and sound, Louise was still trying to understand what was going on.

"Tchh we need to keep going.." Tazer said.

"mhm." Arthur replied.

"Where's Mama?." Anna asked.

Arthur didn't know what to say to her.. but told her either way..

"Your Mama was captured by the enemy.. don't worry we'll rescue her.. I promise you that sweety." Arthur said.

[Brat hope you're doing fine---hmm??]

On the communications device was girlish voice after hearing this Tazer was clenching his fists tightly.

"Merlin, you bastard!."

As they hurried towards Merlin's coordinates Gray and their side of things weren't going as planned.

"So you want us to betray the Darkness Organization?." Gwyn asked.

"Are you crazy!?." Kix reacted.

They knew something was off with this mission thus the speculation.. they were too hesitant to take this job because they knew something was wrong with this mission.

"Wait! Gray you're a leader of a dark group?." Patrisha asked.

"Now there's something you don't see everyday." Anastasia said.

"Back away from my Master Gray woman ggrrrr!." Frenda clung to Gray's shoulder.

"What are you a dog." Patrisha replied.

"The Darkness Organization is falling apart.. some of the Dark groups in the Organization have been destroyed.. I'm saving our skins here.. that's why we need to betray them before they can kill us." Gray said.

Bones was driving them to the coordinates Gray gave them and upon listening to his statement Bones agreed to betray the Organization.

"Bones?." Kix reacted.

"Well he has been our boss ever since we joined the organization and he hasn't really lied about our jobs here and then.." Bones said.

"Um you seem to have forgotten the one where we faced off that one girl and Merlin himself remember." Gwyn said.

"That wasn't my fault! I told you guys to go there as soon as possible! I never knew Dorothy would be with Merlin that day!." Gray replied.

As they were continuing their conversation Patrisha overheard what they just talked about and was curious.

"What do you mean Gray?." Patrisha asked.

"Well.. it was a long time ago.. when you were hospitalized after the L1 Battle royale activity... Dorothy was looking for an antidote to cure you.. and since it was one of darkness organization groups that placed the poison by mistake I got access to the antidote with ease and the plan was for them to place the antidote there when Dorothy arrived.. and because of that there were some few misunderstandings.. and at the time they weren't suppose to open the files there.. soo umm I gave them the order to destroy the information.."

"She all that for me thenn... and alsoo I'm going to beat you senseless for issuing that order Gray!!!." Patrisha said.

As Frenda protected Gray from Patrisha's wrath as she said, "Please calm down ms. Patrisha.. we understand your rage for our Master.. but please your orders."

"Huh? does this mean?."

"Yeah.. we'll be following you til the end boss." Gwyn said.

"Alright! we need to save two of our friends! I placed a tracker on one of those villains from earlier we need to follow this signal." Gray said.

"Alright! target locked on sight!." Bones said as he drove the van and followed where the signal was heading.

As Arthur and the others finally arrived at the coordinates Merlin gave them they wondered where they are.

"Ummm Tazer.. is this the right place?." Liz asks.

"Yeah I know it's the right place.. it's what it says here." Tazer replied.

"Partner.. we might be facing another Servant once we unravel the plot of this group.." The Dragon said.

"What do you mean?." Arthur asked.

"Twilight is a spell that uses tons of mana and I've only seen a person cast that spell once and that person was a servant.. meaning he's just like us.."

"I see.."

"Will Father be alright?." Louise asked.

"What? What happened to Father?."

"He got affected by the Twilight spell.. like I said no need to worry once the spell stops everyone will wake up that is if we manage to stop the spell."

Anna was with Liz, as Liz caresses Anna's hair to help calm her down.

"I see Merlin and the others.. HE DIDN'T!?."

and as he got a better look at them Tazer's worst fears have been realized..

"HE BROUGHT THE KID!?."
