39. Arriving at Logue Town

Warrod, Kazuma, Kakashi, and Rori who were trying to escape were surrounded by the army from all directions.

"Freeze! You are surrounded, surrender!"

The leader of the army ordered Warrod and the others to surrender. However, Kazuma replied jokingly.

"Surrounded? Don't be kidding! I deliberately let you guys surround us!"

Everyone was stunned. They looked at Kazuma weirdly.

At that moment, Kakashi said.

"Isn't that a line from the Gintama anime in episode 1?"

"Uh, you know?"

"Of course. I have a lot of free time, besides reading novels, I also take my time to download all the episodes of the Gintama anime. Kuroneko said that this anime is good."

"Damn. Good for you! I don't have much free time, so I only watched a few episodes."

Kazuma and Kakashi's conversation made Warrod and Rori slap their foreheads. Rori may not have known about anime completely, but in the current situation, she wondered why they seemed calm and ignored the army instead. Even though Kazuma said don't kill the army soldiers for no reason.

Suddenly, a large tree appeared to cover the four of them. The soldiers were shocked. They rushed back for fear of being attacked by the tree.

Meanwhile, inside the tree.

"Well, sorry, Rori. We were unable to fulfill our promise." Warrod apologized. However, Rori didn't mind it.

"You said there is another Japan, right? What did you call it? A parallel world?"

"That's right. There are two worlds, each of which has a Japanese country like in this world. One is Izumi's world, and the other one is Kuroneko's world." Warrod replied.

"Then, you don't need to apologize. I can go there since I'm already a member. Anyway, how do we get out of here?"

They were silent. When no one made a sound, they heard gunshots from outside. And then, Kakashi said,

"I have a way. But, I don't know if it will work or not. Before that, how can we seal the gate or destroy it?"

Warrod turned to Rori.

"Hmmm. Rori, can you destroy that gate?" The gate he was referring to was the gigantic gate in Ginza.

"Nope." Rori shook her head.

"Then, what if I weaken the power of the gate?"

"Huh? You can do that?"

"I'm not sure. But it's worth a try. Otherwise, I can only seal it."

"Then, let's try it!"

Kakashi and Kazuma were just dumbfounded hearing their conversation.

Warrod turned to Kakashi.

"Kakashi-kun, let's try your way to get us out of here!"

Kakashi nodded.

Izumi, Luffy, and the others arrive at Logue town. The six of them went their own way. Luffy went to the place where the Pirate King was executed, Nami and Usopp went shopping, Sanji looked for food supplies, and Izumi and Zoro looked for weapons.

"Zoro, don't go far from me. It'll be troublesome if you get lost."

"What did you say? Don't order me! And I'm the one who should say that! You have to be careful not to get lost!"

"Are you looking for a fight?"

"I'll serve you anytime."

"Forget it. There are a lot of people and marines. It would be bad if they found us."

"Tch, coward."

Izumi and Zoro forgot their fight and immediately went to find weapons. Izumi didn't have a weapon anymore, while Zoro only had one sword left because the other two were broken during the fight against the fishmen.

When they entered the weapon shop, Zoro asked Izumi.

"You're serious about lending me money, are you?"

Izumi didn't answer right away but looked around him.

"Although it looks different in reality, I'm not wrong, this is a weapon shop like the one in the anime." Izumi said inwardly.

"Hey, can you hear me?"

"You're so noisy, Zoro! I will lend you money, but you can find your sword over there!" Izumi pointed to the corner where many swords were piled up in the barrel.

"Huh? Are you kidding me? You said you wanted to lend me money. But, you told me to find a trash sword? You know those swords over there are cheap ones? I'm certain that those swords will break in no time." Zoro was a little annoyed because he seemed to have been deceived by Izumi's nonsense. But Izumi just smiled and said to Zoro.

"Trust me! You'll find good stuff over there."

Zoro didn't know what to say. If he borrowed money from Nami, he would have to pay back three times as much, while Izumi gave him the money without having to pay it back. Left with no choice, he could only accept Izumi's words.

"Fine then, you stingy bastard!"

Zoro took and looked at the swords there one by one, and unexpectedly, he found such a good sword. He turned to Izumi in astonishment. How did he know there was good stuff in the garbage?

It is a moderately curved katana with a white edge and distinct blue waves that has a flame pattern on it. The guard is golden in color and is in the shape of a circular cross. Then, the hilt is wrapped in a reddish-brown color.

"See! You got a legendary sword." Izumi pointed at the sword.

"A legendary sword?" Zoro did feel something different from the sword, but he couldn't believe that a sword like this was placed in a barrel full of cheap swords.

Izumi nodded.

"If I'm not mistaken, that katana is Sandai Kitetsu."

"Sandai Kitetsu, huh?"

Meanwhile, Izumi turned to the shop owner and gave him money.

"Shop owner, I want to take this. Just a thousand berries, right?"

The shop owner wanted to receive the money before he realized the sword Zoro was holding.

"Wait, I'm not selling it!"

"Hey, hey, Mr. Shop owner. Are you afraid of losing money knowing it's a legendary sword?"

The shop owner immediately shook his head.

"It's not like that. Actually, I don't want to sell it because it is a cursed sword. It will bring horrible death to all of its owners. Though I myself want the sword to be taken away from here, I can't bear to see a young man like him die because of a sword bought from my shop."

Izumi chuckled.

"Your concept is wrong, Mr. shop owner."

"What do you mean? This is no joke, young man." The shop owner responded.

Izumi pointed at Sandai Kitetsu.

"Since this is a legendary sword, that means ordinary people won't be able to wield it. Perhaps, this sword has a consciousness that can choose its owner."

"Heeh. Interesting. Let me try. I wonder if this sword will choose me or not." Zoro was interested enough in what Izumi said that he threw the sword in the air, which then fell while spinning toward Zoro's outstretched arm.

"Ahhh!"

There were screams from the shop owner and a woman who happened to be entering. They were both surprised by what Zoro did. The shop owner was afraid that the sword would cut Zoro's hand, while the woman thought that Zoro was a madman who wanted to try the sharpness of the sword with his arm.

However, it passed through Zoro's arm. After passing through his arm without cutting it, the sword stabbed deep into the floor, leaving behind a-fourth of its blade.

The shop owner sighed in relief.

"You're too crazy, young man. You even dare to challenge that sword's curse against your luck."

"That sword? Mr. Swordsman, can I take a look?"

Izumi looked at that person.

She is a young woman who wears a blue jacket, a sword strapped to her left hip, and has short blue hair. In addition, she also wears glasses.

Izumi responded to her.

"You better not to, young lady! That sword will harm other than its chosen owner."

Izumi knew that the young woman was a marine named Tashigi.

Zoro turned to the shop owner.

"Shop owner, I need one more sword."

However, the one who responded was Tashigi, a sword maniac.

"Eh, even though you already have two good swords, you still need one more?"

"My techniques are three-sword style. So I need three swords."

Zoro turned to Tashigi. And how shocked he was when he saw that the young woman's face resembled that of his dead friend.

"Eh?"

Tashigi tilted her head.

"What is it, Mr. Swordsman?"

Zoro immediately shook his head. Then, he turned to Izumi.

"Ah, nothing."

Zoro whispered to Izumi.

"Hey, let's go find the others!"

Izumi grinned. He knew why Zoro wanted to leave immediately.

"Are you kidding me? Thanks to me, you were able to get that sword. And you want to leave right away when I haven't chosen a weapon?"

Suddenly, the shop owner asked Zoro to stay for a while. After a while, the shop owner brought a sword wrapped in a black sheath with thin gold designs from the handle to the scabbard.

Izumi said,

"Shop owner, I won't buy it. It's an heirloom sword from your family, right? If you sell it, it will be expensive."

"No. I'll give it to this young man. I see he can overcome the curse of that sword. So I decided to give the best sword here to a worthy person. Furthermore, you need one more sword, right? Just take this!"

Hearing the shop owner's words, Zoro happily accepted. Even so, Tashigi still wanted to take a look at Zoro's swords when Izumi was looking for weapons. Izumi didn't find any extraordinary weapons in the shop. So he only bought the best weapons over there. Two daggers, some throwing knives, and one katana.
