Single sided beatdown

Leo launched countless strikes at Kayn, tossing his body around the field like some kind of stress-relieving puppet.

Once he was satisfied, Leo stopped attacking and wiped the sweat from his face.

"Phew! That felt great!" He exclaimed.

However, when he finally got a good look at Kayn's condition, he became worried that he might have gone overboard and killed Kayn.

He turned to look at Eve, who was standing not far away with a dazed expression on her face.

She eventually snapped out of her daze and blew on the whistle again, signaling the end of the match.

"W-Winner, Leo Magnus!" She announced in a stiff voice.

The entire arena remained silent even though they should be cheering, mostly because they were terrified and speechless by the beatdown.

However, it wasn't as though Leo displayed unfathomable power, nor did he do anything really special. It just was the sheer brutality of the fight that made these students speechless.

"My god, Leo. You really went hard on him… I doubt even his parents would recognize him if they saw his face now." Lilith said as she floated above Kayn, who was still conscious but was in no condition to move.

After the fight ended, Miss Camille entered the field and proceeded to heal Kayn's injuries using her light magic.

Within moments, Kayn, who looked inhuman with a disfigured face, returned to looking like a normal human being, but his face was still bruised black and blue.

"Leo! You son of a bitch! How dare you humiliate me like this! I will never forgive you!" Kayn roared in anger once he could finally talk again.

"Oh? You'll never forgive me? Then how about another match, huh? We can even do it right now if you want!" Leo beckoned him in a provocative manner.

Kayn gritted his teeth in frustration, but he didn't dare to accept Leo's challenge, as he was still mentally scarred by the beatdown.

"The second match for today between Oswald Kratos from Knight Class 2-A and John Cloven from Magic Class 2-A will now begin!"

"Oswald and John, please enter the stage."

After my name was announced, I stood up from my seat and walked towards the arena.

John also entered the arena at the same time.

Unlike Leo and Kayn, we didn't utter a word before fight. Just our glance were enough to convey the message to other.

"Once I blow this whistle, you may start the fight!" Eve said.

We both stood silently on our circles, ready to strike at the moment the whistle blows.

Everybody on the audience seats tightly griped their seats and glued themselves to the seat.

They were already scared from Leo's brutality but Leo's brutality was nowhere near the level of Oswald they knew.

Students from the magic classes were eager to see the results. They all hoped to win against Oswald but didn't even have the courage to challenge him.

Leo took the seat I was sitting on before and eagerly looked at the arena.

Eve let out a loud sigh and blowed the whistle.

For the next few seconds, nothing happened.

Neither of us moved from our positions.

*Whoosh!*

Next second, both of us disappeared from our positions.

"Lightning shot!" John shouted.

*Bzz--*

The bolt of lightning flashed towards me but before it could reach me, I slashed it in half with my sword and dashed towards John.

John charged up a tier-3 spell, thunder shock.

Lightning moved towards me and I moved towards John.

*Slash!*

Silence spread all over the arena.

*Thud!*

Two arms fell on the ground in front of John. His eyes widened to the extreme and what followed after was a loud, painful scream.

"Ahhhhh!!!!"

Everyone on the audience started to tremble just by seeing the bloody scene.

Blood flowed out of John's shoulders like a fountain. The arena turned into a pool of blood.

I turned around and faced John, who was grovelling on the ground with pain.

*Slash-*

I slashed at his face this time and pulled apart his left eyes. Even one of his ears fell on the ground.

But I didn't stop there. I continued to slash him while being careful enough to keep him alive. Every slash was followed by loud and painful scream.

After a few minutes of painful slashes, John started to faint because of the extreme loss of blood.

--but how can the match end so quickly?

"High heal."

I instant casted a tier-3 healing spell. Although that didn't help him regenerate lost parts, it recovered all the blood he lost and healed the deep wounds.

After he started to breathe again and tried to move again, I griped his hair and lifted him up.

According to the rules of arena, unless John admits defeat or falls unconscious, the match won't stop.

Until the match ends, even the teachers can't interfere.

After lifting him from his hair, I pushed my sword through his abdomen.

"Kuh.." John spat out blood from his mouth.

After he coughed up blood, I pulled my sword out of his abdomen and pierced again.

He tried to move his legs in pain but I kicked his legs and completly crushed every bone in them.

For the next few minutes, the bloody match continued. At the end, I got bored and let him fall unconscious.

"T- The m- match is o- over..." Eve announced.

I used wind magic to clean all the blood away from my clothes and walked out of the arena.

Even when the match ended, no body dared to cheer or even make a sound. Every seat in the arena was wet with cold sweat.

As soon as the match ended, Miss Camille rushed towards the near-dead John and started casting spells.

"Heal" she casted but it was nowhere enough to do any significant affect.

"Grand heal!!" She casted a tier-4 spell but it also didn't do much affect.

Finally she started to chant for some large spell.

Many magic circles appeared around her as she continued to cast.

"Perfect recovery!!" She casted a tier-8 spell after a few minutes of casting.

The tier 8 spell did it's work perfectly as John quickly started to recover. His arms did grow back but it even then, the spell was not perfect. Some scars still remained on his body. Especially mental scars that can't be healed so easily.

After healing John, Miss Camille let out a long sigh and then glared at me with anger.

I looked at her with a sorry face and walked out of the arena.

After exiting the arena, I looked at the system screen.
