Chapter Twenty Two

Flashing back to his old lifestyle reminded Felix of Mercy. He wondered what she was doing and how she was taking his absence. They were on the phone with each other but it was just not the same with seeing one on one. Even being on video call was not helping at all. Any way, he reasoned, he would soon be with her as soon as he got some things ready and travelled back. His plan was to stay with Lawrence's brother while he made haste to get his own place of residence. Who knows, one reason Mercy has refused to visit him may just be because he was yet to get a place of his own. His thoughts drifted to Gift. He wondered again at all he had heard about her. While in Lagos, he had had calls from people telling him about her excapades but he had been to occupied with a lot of things to give credence to them which surprised him considering his history with her.
