“That was so specific. Could we sit somewhere?” I asked.
“Of course, let’s go in here.” He said as we went into a little café that was on the same block. We sat down and I tried to really take in what Jindra told me.
“What are you thinking about?” Romeo asked me.
“I felt so consumed by and confused by this world and that world. Why am I here and not there? I really questioned my existence for a while. I guess I needed to hear that I belong here. I don’t have to focus so much on any other worlds. I can just focus on myself and listen to my own thoughts and experiences.” I said as I became hyper-aware of the cold metal table and Romeo’s warm hands holding mine.
“I understand. What does that change for you?” He asked me.
“It changes my priorities. I can release the fear around always knowing what’s going on and the fear that Narin’s world needs to be saved by us. I played my part. I can just exist now.” I told him.
