Chapter 18: Taco Talk

“Let’s get going, shall we?” Ray said as we all let go.

“How are we so lucky to have found you? You’re the missing piece, apparently.” I asked her.

“Well, I was the one listening in on you guys. Do you trust me?” She asked all of us.

“Of course we do. You pretty much saved us, and we need each other to get through this.” Grayson answered, as Ray smiled.

“We agree. You haven’t given us a reason not to. Someone wouldn’t just let some guys into their home on a whim. You know what you’re doing.” Matt said before getting distracted and petting the cat.

“About that, you know the way to Chicago?” I asked.

“Actually, there is a rumor that’s been going around about the Space Needle. I think it’s about time I see what the hype is about.” Ray said, practically jumping with excitement.

“The Space Needle? Is that the weird-shaped building? I almost died falling from the top of it.” I responded.
