Chapter 6: "Desperate situations call for desperate measures"

"There is no turning back", are the words with which we began the robbery.

Diego, went to the main hall of the bank, and gathered the hostages in that place. He climbed some stairs to the top floor and told the hostages:

- Here you will be safe. Let's do an exercise to calm down, okay? Raise your hands, raise them - Diego told them, making an example - like this, as if you were in a robbery.

And the hostages listened to him:

- Well. Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Diego - he said - and I have two news to give you. A good and a bad. The bad new is that the Central Bank is under attack.

People was scared. But they weren't really until Diego told them the good news.

-And the good one - he said, taking off his military suit - hehe, is that the attackers are us guys.

The people were so horrified that they started to get out of control, screaming and trying to flee, but William already in his Dalí costume and mask controlled the hostages.

- Behind! Behind! Behind! - he yelled - Everybody quiet! Everybody quiet!

Meanwhile, Liz and Emily had a mission to get the governor to go with them. They thought it would be an easy thing to do. But the governor's escorts weren't going to make it so easy for them.

Liz and Emily came to the governor's room dressed as military men and said to the governor:

- Governor - said Emily - you have to come with us. The robbers are already robbing the bank.

- It's for your safety, Governor - added Liz

- I agree - said the governor - but I will not leave here without the rest of the people having evacuated first.

- You heard - said the governor's security chief, who was no one else and no one less than Gustavo, the young man who had destroyed me inside a long time ago - he will not leave until everyone has evacuated.

I had been surprised that he was there. I did not know that he was the head of security for the governor of the bank.

They did not know how to make the governor pay attention to them. Each of them had 2 pistols. But there were a total of 4 bodyguards from the governor and more Gustavo 5.

"Desperate situations call for desperate measures" - thought Liz

Emily was willing to take her weapons out and attack, but Liz decided to ask the governor:

- Excuse me, can I use your bathroom?

The governor told him:

- Yes, no problem, it's the door behind me.

Liz then decided to enter the bathroom and closed the door. She then improvised a plan to knock Gustavo out for a few minutes.

The first thing she did was open the spout, close the hole where the water entered the drain, and she left the spout open for several minutes, while Emily distracted the governor.

When 5 minutes passed, the water came out of the governor's door into his room. Gustavo noticed this and found it suspicious. For that reason, he approached the door asking and drawing the gun from him:

- Mrs. Liz? - asked Gustavo.

And when he least expected it, Liz opened the door with force, holding her 2 pistols, and the door handle hit Gustavo on the head, who fell unconscious.

- Bu! - Liz yelled, pointing at the governor's escorts.

Emily stood up immediately when she saw Gustavo fall, and she grabbed both of her pistols, pointing at two of the governor's bodyguards.

The governor immediately rose from her seat and Liz took him, pointing a pistol at her head, and with the other pistol, pointing it at the governor's escorts. They had the advantage. But what they didn't know is that Gustavo was a strong and tough guy. And that's why within 30 seconds of being hit, he got up and took Emily hostage.

- Did you think you would defeat me that easy? - Gustavo said - I'm going to kill this one yes or yes.

- Gustavo stop - said the governor to our surprise - we do not want victims here.

- Governor, with all respects, I am going to kill you so that you are not in danger - Gustavo said.

- I have said no! - said the governor

That's how Gustavo reluctantly released Emily, but he kept pointing at her anyway.

They left with the governor and were heading to the elevator. The plan was going perfectly despite what had happened. But in an unexpected moment, the governor got rid of Liz and the shooting began. The escorts and Gustavo started shooting at Liz and Emily while they did too, but to their good luck, the elevator closed.

- Demons! - Liz yelled

- But what the hell was that !? - Emily exclaimed

- We failed, we must go back for the governor - Liz replied

-No, he is already protected by his escorts -said Emily

- We should try ... because if we don't do it now, maybe there won't be another chance - Liz said

- Ah, you're right - Emily said

They went down to the first floor and when they reached the main entrance of the bank, they realized that they were surrounded by Gustavo and the bank governor's escorts.

They seemed like they were lost at the time.

But, fortunately, Diego and John arrived to help them.

- This is where you have come if you don't drop your weapons - Diego told the bodyguards

- I think you would listen to him - said Emily - I don't want to suffer the consequences if I were in your place.

Gustavo, who at that moment wanted to shoot each other, told the others:

- Okay, let's all calm down and lower our weapons.

Everyone was paying attention to him, but in the blink of an eye, Gustavo rebelled against us and shot Diego, and Diego against him, but Gustavo's bullet landed in a glass case, which caused several crystals fall to Diego near his eyes. And the escorts, at the same time that Gustavo fired, did the same, but Liz and Emily acted before and shot them.

The last thing I could hear were gunshots, screams of pain and later, pure silence.
