Her fear of going to school

"Jenny Mama miss you too." Park Hayoon replied in a sweet tone, unaware of the tears brimming in her little girl's eyes.

"Mama, come and pick me up, I want to go home." Little Hyejin said in tears. Then she sniffed, and that confirmed Park Hayoon's doubt.

"Baby, are you crying?." Park Hayoon asked, but all she received was silence. She could hear her little girl sniffing, so she continued.

"Jenny don't cry okay? It's your first day at school, you have to make new friends. You don't want to have your classmates thinking you are a crybaby right?."

"Mama, I want to go home!." Kim Hyejin insisted in a louder tone as she stomped her feet.

The little girl looked like she was ready for a fight. She doesn't want to listen to whatever her mother was trying to tell her, all she wanted to hear, was that she was coming to pick her up.

Park Hayoon who was at the other end of the phone, sighed tiredly. She was in a dilemma and didn't know which step to take next.

This daughter of hers was a handful!

"Jenny, Mama will get your Uncle to pick you up okay?."

Kim Hyejin stopped crying, as her mother gave in to her.

"Uncle will come in the next two hours to pick you up, okay?." Park Hayoon assured her.

"Mmm...." Kim Hyejin hummed in reply. She was satisfied with the outcome.

'Do you know how long two hours is? Only if you knew, you wouldn't agree to this.' Park Hayoon thought.

Kim Hyejin was just a little child, she didn't know how long two hours was. She was only interested in going home.

And since her mother assured her that her Uncle would come to pick her up, she didn't bother about the remaining, actually the most important detail, timing.

Kim Hyejin's classes would end in the next two hours, so her mother got her on this one.

"Good girl, now pass the phone to your teacher." Park Hayoon instructed in a gentle tone.

Kim Hyejin passed the phone to her teacher before going back to her seat. She sat on her desk like any obedient little child.

After speaking with Park Hayoon, her teacher came to her desk to talk to her.

She gazed at the innocent and beautiful face of Kim Hyejin, and couldn't help falling in love with her.

She talked to her in a soft tone and advised her to interact with her mates. Kim Hyejin only nodded in response but remained on her seat.

Her teacher could only sigh as she returned to her seat.

After what felt like ages, Park Ji Hu came to pick his niece.

Kim Hyejin only managed to say goodbye to her teacher before running off to meet her Uncle.

"Little Hyejin, how was school today?." Park Ji Hu asked as he squats to hold her arms with a smile on his face.

"Uncle, I don't want to go to school again." Kim Hyejin replied with a frown laced on her face.

"Hyejin-ah don't say that, school is fun. You get to make new friends and play." Park Ji Hu said trying to persuade her to change that idea in her head.

"I don't want to go to school anymore, I don't want to make new friends. I'm fine with just figure skating." Kim Hyejin insisted with a stubborn look on her face.

"Hyejin you know what? We will talk about this when we get home." Park Ji Hu said as he gently took her back from her, and took her hand as they left the school premises.

When Kim Hyejin got home, she refused to eat. If her hand could reach the door bolt, she would lock herself inside.

She refused to speak to anybody at home when she got home from school, including her grandmother who was trying her best to get her to eat.

Park Mun-Hee sighed as she went to the living room to ask her son about the matter. Since she couldn't keep calm since the little one didn't want to say anything.

"Why is she unhappy? Did anyone bully her in school?." Park Mun-Hee asked with a worried look on her face.

"Mum just remember this, Hyejin is not one to be bullied by others. She is someone that bullies all of us, so who dared to bully her?." Park Ji Hu scoffed.

Park Mun-Hee heaved a sigh of relief. She was glad that her granddaughter wasn't bullied in school.

"If she wasn't bullied, why is she angry? Did you say anything to her?." Park Mun-Hee asked further as she stood in place.

"Hyejin said she doesn't want to go to school anymore." Park Ji Hu revealed as he rubbed his hair.

Park Munster was surprised, "How can she decide not to go to school again, if something didn't happen?."

"I don't know...." Park Ji Hu trailed off.

Park Mun-Hee was speechless. How could he know what was wrong with the child he was sent to bring back home?

Park Mun-Hee didn't have time to waste. She directly went into her daughter's room.

She found the little one sitting on the center rug in the middle of the room. She had her hands folded with a tight frown on her face.

A kind smile appeared on Park Mun-Hee's face as she went to sit beside her granddaughter on the rug.

"Hyejin, can you tell grandma what happened in school today?." She asked as she gazed at the little one.

Kim Hyejin raised her head to glance at her, before putting her face down. Then she went ahead to tell her some of the details of what happened in school.

"Hyejin'er, school is fun. When grandma was your age, she started going to school. I made a lot of good friends back then, and I had so much fun. But why do you not want to go to school?." Park Mun-Hee finally arrived at her question of interest.

"Grandma, Hyejin wants to stay at home. Today at school, Hyejin missed you. I don't want to go to school, I don't know anyone there." Kim Hyejin revealed her fear.
