Chapter 89: You May Die with My Punch!

Hera's expression instantly shifted to one of panic.

When she was demoted to a mortal by the sun god Apollo, who had taken the throne of the king of the gods, she wasn't afraid. After all, she was still Hera, the queen of heaven, and her long-standing status made her believe that humans couldn't harm her. But Su Sheng was different! Even when she was still the queen, she had witnessed Su Sheng effortlessly killing Eris and crushing Ares. Just earlier, she had seen with her own eyes how he had beaten the invincible First Born into submission.

If Su Sheng wanted to kill her, Hera was genuinely afraid.

He was ruthless and didn't hold any regard for the gods.

"Didn't I promise to help the people of Paradise Island return to their original state? As queen, you'd be able to do what Hera can and more. You could save Paradise Island and maybe even defeat the First Born to save the gods," Su Sheng said to Diana with a sly smile. "Apollo brought the First Born to Mount Olympus, where many gods are waiting to be killed, which would only make him stronger. Kill Hera and become a goddess yourself—only then will you have a chance to defeat him!"

"No!" Diana refused flatly.

"Why not?"

"Sacrificing one person to save many others—I can't do that," Diana said solemnly. "Besides, I don't believe your motives in pushing me to become queen are purely altruistic."

Su Sheng chuckled, his eyes gleaming. "You know me well now, almost as well as Riley does."

"Often, it's your enemy who knows you best," Diana replied coldly, turning to Hera. "I'll have him let you go and return your power, but you must promise me to restore Paradise Island to its original state."

"I—I promise!" Hera stammered, desperate.

"Do you know why others dare to offend you?" Su Sheng asked Diana slowly. "It's because you're simple, straightforward, and righteous. You have no hidden agenda, so offending you carries no real consequences."

With that, Su Sheng released Hera.

Hera collapsed to the ground, watching as the divine power floated out of Diana and re-entered her own body.

Instantly, thunder crackled across the sky, illuminating the night. Hera stood up slowly, her aura surging with divine power. Her mortal clothes vanished, replaced by a regal peacock cloak, and under it, a simple green cloth adorned her form. Her face was masked with features befitting a queen.

"The gods on Mount Olympus are all either whores or bitches," Su Sheng muttered, rolling his eyes as he turned to leave.

"Where are you going?" Hera demanded, her voice thunderous.

Su Sheng paused, turned back to her, and slowly raised his fist. "You might die with my punch."

Hera instantly backed down, her thunderous aura dissipating.

"Pfft!" The woman in the plaid shirt couldn't help but laugh. "You act all high and mighty, but you don't even have the guts to take revenge after being scared!"

"What did you say, you little bitch?" Hera snapped back.

"Enough!" Diana shouted, silencing them both. "Hera, let's go to Paradise Island first, then…" She looked up at the sky, worry etched on her face.

If things were really as Su Sheng had said, then they were in serious trouble.

The group, exhausted and tense, boarded the Discipleship, which then took off toward Paradise Island.

Upon landing on Paradise Island once more, they disembarked and found the stone statue kneeling in the center of the square.

It was Hippolyta.

She was surrounded by a mass of writhing snakes, their eyes gleaming with intelligence.

These snakes were the Amazon warriors.

"Hera," Diana said, her voice heavy with urgency.

Hera hesitated but then reluctantly cast a spell, using her restored divine power. With a flash of light, the snakes transformed back into Amazon warriors, who rushed to greet Diana with excitement.

"Queen! Why hasn't the queen recovered?" someone suddenly shouted, and Diana realized that her mother was still a statue.

"Hera?" Diana's voice was sharp with anger as she turned to the goddess.

Hera looked genuinely puzzled. "It's not my fault! I used the same spell as before."

"It's not your fault?" Diana asked, her suspicion deepening.

Hera glanced nervously at Su Sheng and said, "I'm not lying to you. I don't know why it didn't work."

"Then what's going on?" Diana was at a loss. She had thought Hera's restored divine power would be enough to revive her mother and the others. Now, even Hera couldn't do it? She didn't know what to do and subconsciously looked at Su Sheng for guidance.

"Master!" The Amazons suddenly knelt in unison toward Su Sheng.

Hera, with a self-satisfied smile, said, "A wise choice, but this won't save your queen. It really wasn't me."

Silence followed, with no one offering a reply.

Just as Hera was about to continue speaking, a lazy voice interrupted. "Get up."

In a flash, the Amazon warriors stood up.

Hera looked at Su Sheng, her face burning with embarrassment. She had almost forgotten that Su Sheng had enslaved Paradise Island. The warriors weren't kneeling to her!

She felt both fearful and furious at Su Sheng.

"What should I do now?" Diana asked Su Sheng, clearly at a loss.

"Haven't you noticed someone is missing?" Su Sheng replied casually, glancing around.

"Donna!" Diana exclaimed, suddenly realizing. Donna had been separated from her earlier and had returned to Paradise Island. Diana had assumed Donna had been turned into a snake like the others, but now she realized Donna was nowhere to be found.

"It seems that besides Hera, there's another enemy on Paradise Island," Su Sheng said lightly. "It's very likely the First Born will attack here. With Hippolyta still a statue, you, the princess, are now the queen. Take charge of the defenses and tell me where I can find Hephaestus, the god of fire."

"What are you going to do?"

"Get him to upgrade the Discipleship for me," Su Sheng replied casually.

After all, the Discipleship was just the standard spacecraft of the Lords of Time. The recent battle had exposed some flaws. Hephaestus, as the god of fire and forging, had crafted much of the gods' equipment. He should be able to upgrade the Discipleship.

Diana hesitated, then told Su Sheng the address. "Come back quickly… Paradise Island needs you."
