Chapter 201: Supergirl vs. Superman

"I can't shake the feeling that this so-called Justice League is nothing but a cheap knockoff."

At the DEO (Department of Extranormal Operations), Su Sheng arrived as Kara's boyfriend. Lucy Lane, Alex, and the Martian Manhunter didn't object to his presence; in fact, they even hoped Su Sheng might join their cause. Astra and the criminals from Rozburg were already enough of a headache, but now, these individuals had rebranded themselves, joining an extremist superhuman faction that aimed to police the world.

In such turbulent times, even Su Sheng's mere presence offered some comfort.

On the DEO's computer screens, the Justice League's armed interventions across various regions were displayed, with Superman's public declaration playing on the central screen. After revealing his identity as Clark Kent, Superman had rallied people, using force to solve problems. Surprisingly, his approach was yielding results.

Whether it was a knockoff or an alien version, Superman's Justice League had managed to prevent several large-scale military conflicts, saving many civilians. However, their methods were excessively brutal.

"If you won't listen to reason, then we'll force you to listen!"

The domineering stance disregarded human rights and freedoms. Anyone who resisted was met with deadly force.

"In just a few hours, protests have erupted in several areas, especially the most recent one," Lucy Lane said as the screen switched to show a protest against Superman and his alien enforcers, who were accused of trampling human rights and freedom. In the footage, two Justice League aliens descended from the sky, using strong-arm tactics to disperse the crowd. When one of the protesters fired a shot, one of the aliens snapped his neck without hesitation.

Even through the screen, the grief and anger were palpable.

"The man who was killed was a fan of Superman," Lucy continued, her voice heavy with emotion. "He fought for freedom in his own city, his own country, and was murdered in cold blood."

"Ever since Lois's death, Superman has completely changed."

Lucy Lane's expression darkened. "Superman and his so-called Justice League have attracted numerous aliens, with more joining by the day. Yes, they've killed criminals and saved lives, but this kind of tyranny will only escalate. If there is a God, He wouldn't allow this!"

"The Superman I know isn't like this," the Martian Manhunter sighed. "He's endangering the safety of the entire planet. We have to do something..."

"Boom!"

Before the Martian Manhunter could finish, a loud crash echoed through the room.

The ceiling of the DEO had been breached.

Superman descended from the sky.

As he appeared, several other aliens landed beside him, including Faora.

Swish, swish!

In an instant, all the DEO agents trained their weapons on the intruders. Superman's gaze swept over the room, pausing briefly on the Martian Manhunter, Supergirl, and Su Sheng, before finally settling on Lucy Lane.

"Lucy," Superman's expression softened slightly, his tone less harsh. "How have you been?"

"What do you think?" Lucy Lane sneered. "You're not the Superman I know, and my sister... she wouldn't want to see you like this!"

"Don't mention her!" Superman's face twisted into a menacing scowl. "Everything I've done, I did for her. If I hadn't shown leniency to those criminals, Lois would still be alive! But by the time I realized that, it was too late. I won't let anyone else suffer the same fate!"

"Lucy, hand over the Kryptonite and the prisoners you're holding. I won't give them a second chance to harm others!"

"That's not happening!" Supergirl snapped, stepping up beside Lucy. At the same time, Alex suited up, and the Martian Manhunter shifted into his true form.

"Humph!"

Faora scoffed, signaling the other aliens to prepare for a fight.

The tension between the two sides escalated instantly.

"I don't want to hurt you, but I must take the Kryptonite and the prisoners. Don't force my hand!" Superman warned coldly.

"I said, that's not happening!" Supergirl stood firm. "Kal, look at what you've become. Don't you see how far you've gone?"

"Gone too far? I'm here to bring real peace!" Superman retorted, his voice filled with conviction.

He had fallen completely into an extreme ideology.

"Faora!" Superman barked, and Faora, along with the other aliens, dispersed, intent on searching for what they came for.

Supergirl moved to stop them but was intercepted by Superman.

The Martian Manhunter shot off to pursue the intruders, while Alex charged toward the remaining aliens.

The fight was on!

Gunfire and all manner of attacks filled the air. In the midst of the chaos, the battle lines were drawn. Superman and Supergirl squared off, both of them keeping a wary eye on one person: Su Sheng.

Supergirl was concerned that Su Sheng might get hurt in the chaotic scene, while Superman worried about whether Su Sheng would intervene.

And Su Sheng?

Su Sheng sat back, watching the fight unfold with a calm, almost amused expression. He showed no intention of getting involved and didn't seem the least bit panicked.

"Su Sheng, you should leave!" Kara urged, slowly moving to shield him.

"Don't worry about me. I'll be fine. Trust me!" Su Sheng replied with a chuckle.

"But..." Supergirl hesitated, wanting to say more, but Superman suddenly made a move.

With a crash, Superman broke through the wall, seemingly intent on carrying out some plan.

"Go after him! I can handle myself!" Su Sheng insisted.

"Just be careful!" Supergirl gritted her teeth and took off in pursuit. It wasn't long before the sounds of their battle—blows landing, walls crumbling—echoed back into the room as Supergirl and Superman finally clashed.

Su Sheng activated his X-ray vision, watching the fight with interest. Although this knockoff Justice League, or perhaps it was more of an Injustice League, didn't quite satisfy him, Supergirl vs. Superman? Now that was something worth watching!
