Chapter 125: Accidentally Played Reverse Flash
"Are you surprised? Surprised or not?" Su Sheng grinned as he saw the disbelief on Reverse-Flash's face. "You thought Grodd could turn the tide as soon as he appeared? Use his ability to control me and help you get back home? I must say, you're quite clever. Hiding something as large as Grodd without anyone noticing is no small feat. You must have brought him here after I took Caitlin, knowing I would be there—especially once Barry Allen got his speed back!"
Su Sheng continued, his tone almost mocking. "You knew you couldn't outrun me, and with your true identity exposed, you couldn't hide for long. So, you changed your plan."
"You wanted to use me to help you get home, and then have Grodd kill me. That way, you could return home safely, Barry Allen would remain unharmed, and you could continue being the Flash, using the Speed Force. A win-win for you! Unfortunately, you made one mistake—Grodd's ability is useless against me."
Reverse-Flash glared at Su Sheng, his mind racing with questions. How had Grodd failed to control him? And how had Su Sheng managed to turn the tables and control Grodd instead? But Reverse-Flash didn't waste time asking. His eyes flashed red as he prepared to run.
But Su Sheng was faster.
Every time Reverse-Flash tried to move, Su Sheng was there, blocking his path. Their movements were almost indistinguishable as red lightning flashed across the room.
"Damn it, how is he this fast?" Reverse-Flash cursed under his breath. Desperate, he looked towards the nearest wall and took off, running full speed.
Taking a deep breath, Reverse-Flash focused on the vibrations in the air, feeling the wind on his face, the earth beneath his feet. He connected with the lightning, the power coursing through his veins, filling his entire body with vitality. He was no longer just himself—he was part of something greater, part of the Speed Force.
He ran, pushing his body to vibrate at the natural frequency of the air, his cells in a state of excitement, ready to phase through the wall.
Passing through walls was another ability granted by the Speed Force.
But as Reverse-Flash prepared to phase through the wall, Grodd's massive body suddenly blocked his path.
Puff!
Reverse-Flash's body passed through Grodd, piercing through the giant gorilla and into the wall.
"I did it!" Reverse-Flash thought as he emerged on the other side, accelerating again to leave the lab. But before he could escape, a red flash passed through him from behind and stopped in front of him.
It was Su Sheng.
Phasing through walls required skill—it wasn't just about speed. When Su Sheng had studied and mastered the Speed Force, he had tried out all the tricks he knew. He just hadn't expected Reverse-Flash to be so slow.
"What a pity. I wanted to play with you a bit longer," Su Sheng said with a hint of regret.
Thud!
On the other side of the wall, Grodd's massive body collapsed to the ground.
And at the same moment, Reverse-Flash, standing in front of Su Sheng, fell to the ground as well.
Phasing through walls doesn't kill. But phasing through a person? That's a different story.
"No…"
Barry Allen burst through the door, yellow lightning trailing behind him. He rushed to Reverse-Flash's fallen body, panic in his eyes. "No, don't… How will I clear my father's name if you're dead? No…"
"Why did you kill him?" Barry demanded, looking up at Su Sheng, desperation in his voice.
At that moment, Sisko Ramon and Caitlin Snow caught up, their faces filled with sorrow as they looked at the lifeless Reverse-Flash. Despite everything, they couldn't deny the bond they had formed with him over time. If not for Reverse-Flash, there wouldn't be a Sisko Ramon or a Caitlin Snow.
"He was too slow. Who would have thought he'd still be standing there after phasing through the wall? I didn't mean to kill him; it just happened by accident," Su Sheng replied, a bit disappointed. He had planned to have some fun after revealing Reverse-Flash's identity, but instead, he had accidentally killed him.
"Look at that!" Sisko Ramon suddenly pointed at Reverse-Flash's corpse.
Reverse-Flash's appearance was changing, from the familiar face of Harrison Wells to his true form.
Eobard Thawne.
That was his real name, his true appearance.
Su Sheng seemed disinterested, as if he had lost an entertaining toy. He shook his head, and as red lightning flared up around him, he prepared to leave. But just as he was about to go, Su Sheng noticed a flash of red light from Reverse-Flash's body. The red light began to dissipate and suddenly rushed towards Su Sheng.
Su Sheng didn't dodge.
Because in that instant, he had an idea.
The next moment, the red light disappeared into Su Sheng's body, and he felt it connect to a space within him—a space that seemed to be linked to his very being.

Before the stunned eyes of everyone present, the red lightning around Su Sheng turned yellow.
"What… What just happened?" Caitlin and the others asked in surprise.
"The Speed Force evolved? The Speed Force becomes part of the Speed Force after death, so it's like a shrine to the Speed Force. But Reverse-Flash's Speed Force should have come from the Flash. Even if it became part of the Speed Force, it should have belonged to the Flash. Why did it come to me? Is it because I killed him?" Su Sheng mused.
The Speed Force was complex, almost impossible to fully comprehend. And as an independent Speed Force, Su Sheng didn't have all the answers for this transformation.

Looking at the yellow lightning now surrounding him, Su Sheng felt a new thrill.

Su Sheng narrowed his eyes, focusing on Barry Allen.
His gaze was sharp, and his murderous intent was evident.
This sent a wave of fear through Barry Allen, Sisko Ramon, and Caitlin Snow.
"Su Sheng, w-what are you doing?" Caitlin Snow asked nervously.
Su Sheng glanced at Caitlin, then suddenly smiled.

With a flash of yellow lightning, Su Sheng left the lab.
He had decided to keep Barry Allen alive, so that more speedsters would be created by his Speed Force.
