The seven mutants looked at Lynn with bewildered expressions. They couldn't fathom how Lynn managed to pass them in the dream assessment. After all, he was known to be a mutant who excelled in academics but possessed no superpowers other than studying?

Could it be thanks to Professor Charles?

Colossus, who was honest and familiar with Lynn, nodded without hesitation and said, "Since it's a task assigned by the professor, count me in"

Bobby, the Iceman, glanced at the crowd and inquired, "How long will this mission take?"

Lynn smiled, genuinely interested in Bobby's abilities as an Omega-level mutant, well-known for his impressive performance in the movies. Last night, Lynn had used his mind magic to enter the dreams of these individuals, and Bobby was the first to be eliminated during the dream test. Although Lynn saw potential in his for the future, currently, in his eyes, he was just good-looking.

With that thought in mind, Lynn honestly replied, "It's not a dangerous task. If you want to come back, you can ask for leave at any time, but keep the mission a secret."

"Then I'll go" Bobby readily agreed.

Seeing their agreement, "Sunspot" Roberto shrugged and said, "If that's the case, count me in too"

Storm grew tense.

Lynn then turned his attention to the "Shape-shifter" Kevin.

With transformation abilities similar to Mystique's, Kevin could play an unexpected role in many situations. Moreover, he also possessed a certain level of telepathy, which helped him successfully pass the dream test.

Lynn had some expectations for Kevin, but unfortunately, he stood next to John, the "Pyro". Along with "Mimic" Calvin, Lucas Bishop, and Petra, they formed a small group, talking about superpowers on the other side of the playground. Birds of a feather flock together.

John was a popular figure among the students, and other outstanding students naturally gathered around him, forming a typical fraternity culture on an American campus, even in the academy of mutants.

Storm was filled with questions. She decided to dismiss the students first and then seek clarification from Professor X in his office.

However, at that moment, "Pyro" John angrily shouted, "Mrs. Ororo, this selection isn't fair".

Storm turned in surprise. "How is it unfair?"

"Why wasn't I part of the dream assessment last night? Why wasn't I selected, when even Bobby got a B evaluation?" John's frustration had been building up, and he couldn't stand being ignored by Lynn any longer.

"I told you before, don't waste my time... don't you understand plain words?" Lynn turned his head, calmly locking eyes with John. "You weren't even in the selection range during the dream assessment last night. Where did you get the A evaluation from?"

"You!" John's expression turned gloomy.

He never expected that he wasn't overlooked, but rather that Lynn simply didn't like him. This public humiliation was hard to bear.

His anger exploded, and he pulled out a lighter from his pocket. "Daring to underestimate me, I'll make you pay!" He ignited the lighter, and flames erupted, roaring towards Lynn.

Everyone was shocked.

"John, you're crazy..."

Storm's expression changed drastically, and she was about to summon a violent wind.

But before she could act, there was a snap of fingers, and a force field materialized out of thin air, pushing her and the other students a hundred meters away in the blink of an eye.

"What's this...?" Storm was taken aback, looking at Lynn. Indeed, he was the only one left standing apart from John's group.

Facing the raging flames, the corners of Lynn's mouth lifted slightly, revealing undisguised sarcasm.

Indeed, it was a sign of mockery.

"You know nothing about fire."
