5. Paying Attention

Heading back as fast as our legs could carry us we arrived at the small studio apartment we have lived in the last fours years. Hipper ventilating I fell to the floor I'm not sure if it was from the shock or because of how exhausted I suddenly felt. Everything came flooding back to me the burning in my chest faint but still there the voices which I can usually keep back came at me full force all I could hear was a high pitched ringing. With my hands covering my ear and the tears flowing I could barely hear Aurora and Micah calling to me I pushed them all away curled up in a ball and let the darkness take me. The only I could focus on was seeing him his face his eyes the way his touch made the world disappear around me. The peace that moment brought me the silence the comfort, how safe he made me feel. I clung to it not knowing if I could ever feel that again I wept for it for something I didn't even Know I wanted or could have. The day came all to quickly I woke up to some one yelling at me on the floor if my apartment.

"Sol, Sol, wake up, wake ur hooker ass up!

SOLARIS don't make me gets all poltergeist on yo ass!"

"What happens to you last night you lots your mind in the middle of the floors."

Slowly I pushed my self off the floor ignoring Micah I just couldn't deal with him right now. I headed to the shower I need hot water I needed to try and wash way last night. Turning on the faucet I waited till the water started steaming. I turned to the mirror taking a long look at my self my hair was a mess knotted all over my head it's going to be a bitch to brush ugh. Make up smeared all over my face bla, my eyes rimed red and blood shot. How much did I cry sheesh and over what I mean I don't Even Know. I don't know his name who he is what he's for that matter he was definitely not human the power and authority that resonated off him was alpha I was sure of it. Someone even more powerful then my own father. Looking at my self for the last time before entering the shower I noticed two light pink hand prints on my cheeks. How it's not like he was holding my face harshly I remember clearly how gently he held my face. Still I swear he was on the spirit side how is it even possible for him to touch me. Stepping in I lost my self in thought and the hot water.

"It's because we our Lycian Sol."

"What do u mean Aurora?"

"I mean a pureblooded Lycians main purpose is the guide sprits and keep the evil ones from getting out and harming humans. We are the guardians of hell Sol, Hellhounds Something you have never had to deal with sence you have archangel running through your veins. You don't even need to feed on blood like others like our father. They hide it from us, but I can feel it every now and then a craving for it I can Always push the thought aside when we shift and go hunting but it's there Sol. We our half in and half out of the spirit world I'm sure that's how we could see him feel him"

"Why would you keep that from me Aurora how is it even possible for you to keep that from me? You have access to my every thought even if I block you. How could I not Know you was feeling this?"

" You never paid attention you was always so focused on running and keeping us alive it's okay we are still here because of it."

Well after my reviling shower it was time to figure out what to do from here forward. Do I stay and try to live this human life and ignore what happened last night. Or do I stay and confront this man who has taken over my every thought. Clearly he's the cause for the burning I have felt my whole life, but why? Or do I Start Running again? I explained everything to Micah waiting for this thoughts on what we should do.

"It's times to stop running sweets hearts."

"Yeah Sol we need to face this we need to know why."

"You guys are right but how I don't even Know where to start looking."

Well have to think on it but today I'm going to class I need a distraction I will just avoid that hallway. How could I forget get the picture of Micah in the memory cabinet. I'll tell him about it later I was already late. Not even 5 minutes after I make it to class Reign has a million questions.

"So you going to tell me what you are or do I have to guess."

"I have no idea what you are talking about can we get back to professor Zeils lesson."

"Oh don't worry about that it's all wrong anyways I can teach you what really happened, but first tell me what you are I'm usually pretty good figuring what kind supernatural someone is, but you are something new."

" We both Know that's a lie. Now did you have anything to with that power surge that happened in the hall every time I have walked passed it the hair on my neck stands up. Something or someone with a whole lot of mojo was in that hallway they left there mark all over the place."

"You really felt something in the hall what do you think it was."

"So you do know something. tell me what you know and what you are and we can figure out what kind of being is lurking around our school."

"Do it Sol. I told you she's someone I think we need on our side, and bedsides we have no idea where to start looking for our mystery man. Maybe we can find out what he's is. I wouldn't tell her about the angel stuff you could at least tell her about your Lycian side."

I thought about it and Aurora was right I needed to start somewhere. Hopefully she can help
