Dangerous encounters

"There are often smelly bats that pass by on this road, so we'll wait here." Ivan said, "Practice your recognition and don't take vampires for good people next time you meet!"

"Got it ..." Alice nodded helplessly, slipped the string of bracelets into her wrist and followed Ivan down to the ground.

It was almost evening by the time the group arrived, and after a few more moments, a few figures emerged from the silent, darkening path, walking slowly as if at ease.

Alice was suddenly nervous, but was reassured by the thought that Ivan would protect her.

There were two men and one woman, and from their positions it was clear that the female vampire was in the lead.

It was dark, but as the full moon was approaching, visibility was not bad tonight.
