Liam's POV
Seeing Celeste in this state upset me more than I could ever imagine. I had dropped to the ground, my arms cradling her as she sobbed. This shouldn't be happening to Celeste, it seemed to be one devastation after another for her. My heart hurt, the pain in my chest throbbed, and I held Celeste tighter. I wanted her to know I was there for her no matter what, it was the least I could do.
I called Nathaniel and asked him to pick Celeste up, not explaining what had happened as I thought he should know in person. I was dreading dropping this awful news on Nathaniel. Rupert wasn't his biological Father, but he had raised Nathaniel for many years as his own child.
Nathaniel arrived, it had been a while since we had seen each other, and even though I know we both wanted to exchange pleasantries and catch up, we had more important things to deal with now.
