Naomi's pov
—
After the breakfast I knew for sure I had to get out of here. Levi's sister kept on giving me bad looks the entire time which made me feel uncomfortable, Levi's mother was nice but was way too happy for me. And don't even get me started with his father.
Levi's father is the exact reason why I hate werewolves and most men in this world. He has such a sexist mindset that made him believe his kind was better than everyone else's. He's one of the reasons why I'll never be able to warm up to the alpha.
Just when I thought I lost all hope, Levi gave me exactly what I needed. A way to escape. A smirk crawled onto my face as I looked for the fastest way to my town. Now all I needed were some different clothes and shoes. Amaya immediately popped into my mind. She was a warrior so she had to have running clothes and she looked to be my height and weight.
"What're you thinking about, mate?" Levi suspiciously asked me with his eyebrows furrowed.
"Oh, just admiring the view.. there's a lot of trees around here." I quickly made up a lie. Although, It was a beautiful sight.
He smirked at me and walked my way slowly. My heart raced and I looked into his eyes full of lust.
God, why was he horny all the time?
"You know... if I marked you I wouldn't have to ask what you were thinking I'd just be able to read your mind."
I rolled my eyes at him. I had learned about this mind-reading crap in one of my lycan books.
"I know. I do not wish to be marked." And I never will be when I go home and leave this hell-hole.
"And why is that? It would be so easy for me to communicate and find you. Not to mention it would put my wolf to rest." He sighed and looked down at me while I looked up at him.
"I'd rather not be attached to you for the rest of my life."
He growled and gripped my waist, pulling me closer to him. "You already are attached to me for the rest of your life. You'll never get rid of me and anywhere you go I'll be right behind you."
It feared me that he might be right. Werewolves had an incredible sense of sight, hearing, and smell. Just with a smell of my hair, he could find me even if I was miles away.
I shook my head. I can't get negative now. Not when my plan is in progress.
"I know that Alpha."
He groaned, "why do you constantly call me that? Why not just drop the formalities, Noami?"
I rolled my eyes at him. "That's what you are. An alpha. A werewolf. A beast that cannot be controlled."
He smirked at me before saying, "You're right mate. My beast cannot be tamed and never will be unless you tame him yourself."
Tame him? How can I, a human girl, subdue a powerful beast? Ridiculous!
"I'd rather not... seems like a lot to handle big alpha."
He raised an eyebrow, "Noami, you don't have a choice. When will you realize I will always choose for you? You're mine now. I control what you do, what you eat, where you go! So stop fighting it!" He growled at me and I slowly backed away from him.
My breathing was shaky and my heart was racing, about to pounce out of my chest. This is about the third time the alpha has startled me today and this time it was the worse of them all.
He placed his hands over his face and sighed. He dragged his hands down his face and said, "Noami, look-"
I held my hand up and said, "Stop."
He looked at me confused.
"Stop trying to make this seem like it's a good thing. The only person your thinking about is you! You get to have kids, not we! You get to do whatever you please, not we! I hate this pack. I hate this house! I hate your sexist ass family! And I despise you the most!" I screamed back at him letting all my anger out. It gave me somewhat a relief to let out what I've been feeling all this time.
He stood there with a shocked expression on his face and I took that time to run past him and back into the house. I needed to find Amaya. Right now. My feet were all muddy and I was leaving tracks everywhere.
Eventually, I found Athena, the maid. I sighed in relief.
"Athena! Over here please!"
Her head whipped around to see me and she smiled before slowly making her way over to me. "What can I help you with, Luna?"
"Please just call me Naomi." I sighed. "But Alpha said-" she replied
"I don't care what he says."
She nodded with an uneasy look on her face. "What can I help you with, Naomi?"
"I need to find Amaya. Right now. It's urgent." Urgent that I get the hell out of here.
She nodded. "Amaya should be in the field training the warriors. She'd be delighted to speak to you." Was all she spoke before she brought us to the front of the packhouse.
The first thing I spotted was Amaya yelling at some kids. Thank god.
I ran over to her and she grinned before putting a hand on her hip. "What canna' help ya with Ms. Naomi?"
"I need to borrow some of your clothes. These don't fit and I've made a mess." I breathlessly spoke.
Amaya nodded and stuck her index finger up, gesturing to me to give her a second. "If any of y'all boys stop runnin' I'll have all yall heads. And I can promise that."
I laughed at the kid's traumatized faces and watched as they began running at full speed.
"Cmon gurl," Amaya announced. I loved her accent with my entire life.
We eventually made it to her room after walking up two flights of stairs. This house was humongous. Good thing I'll be out by tonight.
Amaya's room was beautiful. She had all types of colors spread around her room that expressed her personality. Crazy and bright.
"Nice room," I muttered as she searched through her messy closet. She grinned at me, "thank you gal. I truly do love this pack."
I tried my hardest to keep my mouth shut but I had to ask, "how can you stand this pack when they praise the thought of women being useless?"
She halted as soon as the words came out of my mouth. I watched her walk over to her bed and sit down.
"When I was just a little gal' my old pack had a rogue raid. My whole fam was slaughtered like pigs along with most of my pack. And on top of that mess, during the invasion, I lost my ability to shift due to a rogue attacking my spine."
My eyes widened and I squeezed my fists as I heard the sad story. I never knew how horrible rogues were. I've only heard that they were wolves banished from their packs.
Amaya took a deep breath before beginning again, "a few days later Levi's father saved me. Not only that but a few years later he made me who I am. Who I wanted to be. A warrior. The first girl warrior in this pack. So I'll always be internally grateful to Levi and his father for saving my life and giving me what I have now."
I nodded. Amaya walked over to her closet and pulled out a black tank top and pair of leggings. This was perfect!
"Do you think I can borrow a jacket, socks, and shoes too please?" I shyly asked. Amaya looked at me suspiciously but shrugged and handed me all that I asked for.
"Thank you so much, Amaya. And I appreciate you for telling me your story." I wholeheartedly told her.
"Of course gal. You can come to me whenever you need somethin'."
I gave her one last grin before leaving her room. I'd miss her more than anyone else in this house.
After roaming the house I eventually found my room again. I took a warm shower in the flawless bathroom and slipped on Amaya's clothes. "A perfect fit," I smirked to myself.
When I left the bathroom I saw the sun going down. Time goes fast. I should take a nap then leave when everyone else is sleeping. I nodded to myself I slid into the bed, my eyelids eventually closing.
