10-Rouge Attack

I stirred awake to the sound of someone banging harshly on my door. Who the hell in banging on my door at four in the morning, I thought looking at my alarm clock. I groggily rubbed my eyes as I sat up in bed and swung my legs over the side of the bed. I walked over to the door, the cold wooden floor feeling nice against my warm feet. I opened the door only to find Matt my Gramma and third in command standing there with a worried expression on his face.

"What happened Matt" I asked growing anxious. I could feel Nimue pacing in the back of my mind.

"Delta James had a vision, there is going to be a large Rouge attack on the west boarder in the next half an hour" he said looking strained. Anna told me about the Delta bloodline and how they are said to be blessed by the Moon goddess herself with visions of the future. "What do you want to do Alpha", my mind was racing. The pack, I have to protect the pack at all coasts.

"How many Rouges are we to expect" I asked my Alpha tone slipping through slightly. I need to know roughly how many to know what to expect and how many warriors to take.

"Delta James said to expect roughly seventy, eighty possibly more" he said with a strained expression on his face. That's a lot of Rouges, they usually only come in groups of ten or so because there wolves would fight for respect and would kill anyone that so much as looked at them the wrong way.

"Get our best eighty warriors up and at the clearing at the west side of the pack territory in 15 minutes at the most. We need to save as many lives as possible" I said looking Matt dead in the eyes, he nodded at me before I watched him go running down the hall and disappearing around the corner. If I don't wake Anna up she'll kill me for not telling her, so I'm gonna have to tell her. Quickly walking to Anna's door I knock tree times loudly before walking in, I feel around the wall for the switch when I find it I switch the light on. "Get up Anna and get dressed, there is at least 70 Rouges on their way here" I shout. I watch as Anna covers her eyes from the harsh light but after she hears what I said she quickly jumps out of bed.

"What" she shouts wide eyed "I'll be ready in a minute" I then watch as she runs to her walk in wardrobe to get dressed. I quickly run into my room and throw on a pair of black leggings and a black top and run back out to see Anna also run out of her room with the same attire as me.

"We are meeting most of the pack warriors in the large clearing in the west side of the pack territory. They will be there at the latest 8 minutes" I said speed walking past Anna her following close behind.

We shortly after made it the clearing with four minutes to spear, I looked around the clearly to see that almost all the Worriers are here. After four minuets I mind link the pack link. 'The plan is to corner the Rouge's at both sides and then attack. We still have the element of surprise so be as quiet as possible and please, be careful. We will attack in wolf form, half of you will follow Beta Anna and half will follow me' I said feeling my Alpha tone slip in at the end. I then watched as half of the Pack shifted into wolf form when Anna shifted and watched as the ones that shifted filed out, before shifting myself along with the other half that had stayed.

This time I shifted was so unlike last time, last time was so peaceful. But this time, this time I'm out to protect, this time in out for blood. I let Nimue take control and listened to the quiet pitter patter of all the wolf's paws along with Nimue's. When we were close to the Rouges we all crouched down waiting for the right moment to strike. 'Are you in position' I asked Anna through mind link, looking around at the wolves behind and beside me. I had taken control back from Nimue when we got here.

'Yes, we are here. Just waiting on the signal' Anna replied. I took one more glance behind me before letting out a loud howl full of power, before charging at the Rouges running at me listening to a cures of other howls. I quickly clamed my jaw around a white wolf's neck killing it instantly, I didn't give it a second glance as I had already found my next target and was quick to ran at it. It was a black wolf that was missing an ear and had a scar going down its left eye, it screamed danger but I didn't care, my pack was in danger. It snapped at my left shoulder but I quickly crouched down and bite into its right leg, causing the wolf to let out a yelp. When it was still in shock I went for its neck but it moved out of the way at the last second. It bites into my shoulder but I just ignored to pain and clamed my jaw on its neck. When I looked for my next target I saw one of my pack members surrounded by three Rouge's, I quickly ran over just as one was about to attack I bite into its hind leg causing it to let out a yelp and stumble to the ground as I ripped out a chunk of its leg. I spat it out and quickly went for its neck killing it instantly, I turned around to see the wolf that was surrounded had killed one or the wolf's. I was quick to attack the third one not wanting to waste any time. I easily clamed my jaw around its neck, killing it. The next ten minutes went like that until there was finally no more left, all that was left was the bodies and blood that littered the floor.

I shifted back to human not caring about my clothes and started looking at all of the bodies every time I found one of ours I called over four pack members the take the body back to their families. In the end there was seven pack members dead and 103 Rouges dead, I ordered a couple of pack members that weren't that hurt to burn all the Rouges body's.

We were all walking back the pack house after all the bodies were burned, my shoulder was completely healed thanks to Nimue. "Alpha about twenty Rouge's attacked the houses surrounding the pack house, there is four dead" a voice said through the pack link. We all froze for a moment before I shifter and ran as fast as I could to the pack house, not bothering to see if anyone was following me. When I got to the pack house there was two women and two men rapped in white cloth outside the pack house on the grass, and a crying boy around six. I quickly went up to the young boy and embraced him in a hug, I don't know why but there was this tension drawing me to him. Making me want to take away all his grief and make him the happiest boy in the world.

"It's okay I got you, let it all out" I said lifting the boy up and hooking his legs around my waste and his arms around my neck. I looked around to see everyone was watching me and the boys interacting, "stop staring at the poor boy" I said causing everyone to look away. I then walked over to Matt with the boy still in my arms, "give the bodies to their family we will bury them tomorrow" I said using my Alpha voice.

"Yes Alpha" he said I watched him bare his neck before walking away to do as I asked. I looked around scanning everyone's faces looking for Anna, when I found her I started walking towards her.

"Anna do you know if he has any family", I asked when I reached her. I sounded desperate because well I am desperate.

"Other than his parents no, he's an only child and doesn't have any other family" she said with a frown on her face.

"Okay I'm gonna take him up to my room so he can sleep, do you mind rapping up everything here" I asked.

"Not at all, go" she said looking at the crying boy in my arms. I gave her a small smile then started making my way up to my room getting looks from people as I passed them.

When I made it up to my room the boy's crying turned to sniffles and he was half asleep, him still in my arms I pulled the covers back and laid the boy down and tucked him in. "Please don't leave" he said when I tucked him in.

"I won't don't worry" I said, I then walked around to the other side of the bed and got in. Shortly after I could hear soft snores coming from beside me, then I could finally drift to sleep.
